    I lived on Vancouver Island for most of my life. I grew up in Victoria and now live in Nanaimo.

    I live in a small city/university town; about 90,000. A few tall buildings here, but not very busy like a big city. It is growing; better than it was 10 years ago.

    I've never been a fan of anything, really. Except for the Brony fandom, of course. Actually, I was a huge Pokemon fan when I was a kid. I never really played the games, but I did watch the anime and collected trading cards. I even got some Pokemon merch and posters on my walls. I finally tried the game on my friend's Gameboy Color, and I couldn't get into it. And the TV show was getting repetitive. So, I stopped.

    I'm coming this year, wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not, but by the time I decided to come, I couldn't find a hotel room for <C$200/night at a good location; all sold out, I guess. Good thing I found a place on a hostel site that's near the convention! To be honest, I wasn't too sure about hostels; it's my first time and giving it a try...

    I didn't become a brony until the winter and spring of 2012. I can't remember exactly which month, though, but it was some time before the royal wedding finale of season 2. I saw these pony posts on the Internet and I was like, "My Little Pony? Seriously? What's so appealing about an IP/show for little girls?" Then, in the fall of 2011, I watched the flash animation, "APPLE.MOV," on YouTube. I was like, "My Little Pony is that popular among dudes like hotdiggedydemon?" I watched the other 5 and, after that, I gave MLP:FiM a chance. I watched season 1 and I thought it wasn't bad; not great, either. Then I watched season 2 and holy sh.... I really enjoyed the premier 2 episodes where the mane 6 dealt with Discord! I also enjoyed the royal wedding finale. Because the show has gotten better since season 2 and the brony fandom, I decided to become a brony, myself. MLP:FiM is not one of my favorite shows ever, but this fandom is awesome!

    Do I want harmony in the world? No, not really. Rather, I want people to be more sympathetic towards each other.

    I don't; in this weather, I want to go swimming. It's not too bad where I live; it rarely goes above 30 degrees Celsius. It does get hot, sometimes, but it's mostly comfortable in the summer.

    The Chernobyl disaster was very tragic, indeed. Interesting, though. But recently, I just can't help but think, "a nu cheeki breeki i v damke!" Wow, I need help... :crackle:

    Sorry if I made you upset or something... I've just been watching too much Boris! I've yet to play the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, which is where the meme, "cheeki breeki," came from.

    I don't know, but every time I hear "Chernobyl," or "Fukushima," or anywhere there was a nuclear disaster, I have "Cheeki Breeki" in my mind. Good luck on the fanfic, and keep it cheeki breeki!

    I'm the kind of gamer who just wants to play, be immersed in the story and setting, have fun! I don't like to stop, sit down and plan my attacks, practice the game repeatedly to "git gud", farm/grind for exp or materials for in-game items just to move on in the main story, or search for things (without guidance). I also like to blow things up! I say, I'm very close to being a casual gamer...

    The Philippines. In one hand, it is a rapidly developing country with huge shopping malls and a rising middle class. In the other hand, many people are living in poverty. There's also Jeepneys! Let's not forget the nice areas outside of the city, such as the beach and the jungle. An interesting setting for a GTA-style game or a Just Cause 3-style game.
