  1. Are we counting Starlight Glimmer's blocked laser at the end of the premiere as an attempt to cause grievous bodily harm, given that we saw her using the same spell to blow up bridges only moments ago?
  2. I believe that Rainbow Dash was the one who mentioned decorating her library at the end, so I assume so.
  3. First episode that I've watched live, and I definitely enjoyed it - Pinkie Pie was a little hit-and-miss, but her highlights were absolutely spectacular
  4. As much as I enjoy cat pics, they're basically click bait - everyone can relate to them equally and everyone gets a quick sense of 'd'aww', so they've got the best chance of getting passed around. The internet wouldn't be the same without them
  5. Somewhere between RD and Twi - I'm not soul-bound to the fandom, but I enjoy it a lot and don't mind if friends notice my various pony-themed screensavers.
  6. I'm gonna be that guy and suggest that Discord gets the perfect symbol of chaos - a butterfly surrounded by ripples, a la Fluttershy's cutie mark?
  7. For some reason, me and my local friends all complain about our left spinal column whenever we have any form of back pain (or humorously threaten any sort of slapstick injury). I'm not entirely sure how it came about (probably some sort of Bane reference) , but I've occasionally used it on impulse with entirely different groups of people, who just look at me strangely
  8. I sat in on an episode that my little sister was watching over the summer (involving the Cutie Mark Crusaders and a sabotaged float - haven't got there yet). To my surprise, I found myself enjoying the blend of lampshading humour and entertaining characters - took me a while to air down and watch the show for myself, but it's been on my to-watch least for wrote a long time. I've been side-tracked by FiMFiction, so I'm still only on Season 1
  9. Heya - it's great to see another M:tG player around the forums Firstly, what sort of deck are you planning to build? From the overall trend of your deck, you look as though you're building towards an aggro deck in Mardu colours - hitting hard and fast with cheap creatures and hopefully bringing your opponent into burn spell range before they can get anything powerful onto the board. Foundry Champion doesn't really fit into that strategy - by the time you've drawn enough lands to cast your 6-mana creature, your opponent will have enough time to start casting their larger creatures, which generally trumps your aggro creatures in a drawn-out game. Fencing Ace and Daggerdrome Imp both stand out as creatures that would benefit greatly from cheap equipment (such as Bonesplitter) while being somewhat average on their own, while Blood Artist is a somewhat risky card for aggro decks (since it's great at finishing off a nearly-dead opponent but struggles if your opponent can answer your early creatures). As far as inclusions go, the first thing that I'd recommend would be four copies of Lightning Bolt - it's one of the classic Red cards that can either kill off your opponent's creatures or finish an opponent that's hanging on by the last few points of life. While aggro decks are great at dealing plenty of damage in the first few turns, but once your opponent starts casting larger creatures and assembling a field full of blockers, your burn spells are generally what ends the game. Boros Charm is another great choice, since you can either protect your creatures from mass removal spells like Wrath of God or end the game with a well-placed 4 points of damage. If your find yourself wanting to remove creatures, then Flame Slash can be rather useful on a budget - you generally don't want to be allowing the game to continue for long enough to encounter many creatures with 5+ Toughness and killing your opponent's creatures for R leaves you with plenty of mana available to go aggressive. If you want a substitute for Foundry Champion at the top of your curve, then creatures like Hellrider are an excellent way to go - for a much lower mana cost, you can do an equal (or higher) amount of damage on the turn you cast it, making it another perfect game-ender once your cheaper creatures have done most of the work. You might also find that removing Black from your deck and running a Red/White aggro deck would be more consistent - the less colours your deck needs to access, the more likely you are to draw the right combination of spells and lands (which is especially important for aggro decks, which can't afford to stall on the first few turns). Cards like Mardu Hateblade and Daggerdrome Imp are nice, but they're cards that you can afford to cut and streamlining your mana base would probably be worth it overall (as well as saving some money on shock lands). If you're happy putting some money into your mana base, then picking up some Clifftop Retreats alongside your Sacred Foundrys would make it extremely easy to access the colours you need. If you particularly like Daggerdrome Imp but still want to cut Black, then you could consider running Vault Skirge instead - it's functionally identical under most circumstances, but you can also play it as a 1-mana creature (regardless of whether or not you're running Black in your deck).
  10. These are the three screenshots displaying the problem - I've managed to find this guide in the Everfree Empire sub-forum rather than Equestria Empire (which I assume contains the same information), but the links from the Equestrian Empire post aren't working despite all of my incense-waver and prayers to the Omnissiah Edit: after having trouble with another link to the same page, it seems that my main problem is accessing the Rules and How To Join page, which gives me the same error message with or without specifying a particular point within the thread.
  11. The hyperlinks to individual rules for cast characters and OCs in the Equestrian Empire sub-forum both lead to an error page stating, "Sorry, we couldn't find that! We could not determine which topic you were attempting to view." Is this because the rules post has been moved, deleted or because of some other problem?
  12. Chatting with friends upstairs and pretending that my horrifically offensive grandparents weren't around
  13. Absolutely a fear of ledges - vertical height doesn't bother me, but any sort of ledge involving dangerous implications (such as train platforms or viewing platforms) just scare the hell out of me. I tend to be a little jumpy at the best of times, but watching other people leaning over railings sets off the same alarm bells.
  14. My first body groomer - I've been wanting one of those for years.
  15. I'd probably choose an artic fox - something sleek, elegant and with a little bit of mystery behind it
  16. Many years ago, I was helping my little sibling have fun with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar, and being a good scientist, I immediately started working out how we could (ahem) improve our little set-up... Use an empty 2L bottle of Coke - either you go big or you go home Pour the bicarbonate of soda into the bottle first, then use a layer of Fairy liquid to stop the reaction from going off until we shake the bottle, meaning we could fully seal the bottle without wasting any pressure Throw together a basic 'shock absorber' with sandbags and rope to hold the Coke bottle in place, creating something that looked vaguely like a piece of artillery After vigorously shaking the bottle and hiding behind our sliding doors like they were some kind of blast shield, the bottle damn-near exploded - the cap flew cleanly out of our (sizable) garden, across a dirt track and into our neighbour's greenhouse, leaving a beautiful trail of frothy Fairy liquid to mark the trajectory. We somehow managed to talk our way out of that as an 'accident' (our mortified faces probably helped), but that was probably the day that 10-year old me decided that I wanted a career in research. If I did it again, I'd probably add food colouring
  17. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: Tracked the scent of fresh hay and awesome through Google How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I watched a few episodes of MLP with my younger sister during the holidays; I always knew that it was good enough to earn a fanbase, but once I started grinning along with some of the humour, I knew it was only a matter of time. Fast-forwards a few months, I eventually watched the first three episodes and plan to continue watching many more - it's a refreshing change of pace I'm a undergraduate student in the middle of preparing for my first set of Winter exams - with all of the serious course-related things to consider at the moment, MLP is absolutely perfect way to unwind. I'm a massive fan of Magic: the Gathering and enjoy drafting stories that I'll never actually write, so maybe joining the brony community will give me that little extra push to finish something I also happen to be agender and present in a reasonably gender-neutral way, but that doesn't really feel related to my enjoyment of the show - a good show is quite frankly a good show All-in-all, I'm looking forwards to joining the community and seeing what all y'all other bronies are up to around here
