  1. A question for those of you who've been to a brony convention: Pony videos get about a hundred times as many views as pony stories. So I guess for every brony who reads fan-fiction, there's a hundred who don't. So maybe, at a brony convention, only 1 in 100 people there have read any fan-fiction. Or maybe only fanatic bronies go to conventions, and most of them have read fan-fiction. See, I'd like to go to a convention if there are other fanfic readers there. But if it's just going to be three of us in a corner while everypony else is talking about music videos, not so much. Which is it?
  2. Hello, Bad Horse here with another shameless self-promotion: Fluttershy's Night Out. See Fluttershy? She is sad. The only thing that will cheer her up is to get into the featured box. So click! Click here! Then look away, because it's sad. Now on Equestria Daily.
  3. Three silly short stories about Luna and Celestia. Now on Equestria Daily. Two by me, and one by Georg, who is a new and talented writer you should check out. Well, new at ponyfiction. More importantly, it has really good pictures.
  4. What was the award, and where's "Vulpus Vulpus"? I don't wanna burst your bubble, but there's no way a wolf without forelegs cast out of its pack would survive. It's hard enough for them to survive in their pack with all 4 legs.
  5. Device Heretic wrote a witty and biting fimfiction post about blah, blah, TLDR, but he made this cool alicorn OC that demanded a story. So I wrote one: The Saga of Dark Demon King Ravenblood Nightblade, Interior Design Alicorn. This is what I shall be known for.
  6. Hi again! I just posted a new Fallout: Equestria story. Twenty Minutes: Would you risk your life to save a stranger? What if you could only save her for twenty minutes? This is a sad story. To quote loliger_rofler: "F*ing hell. OUCH. This was condensed, weaponized sadness." Why, thank you very much.
  7. Just got my latest story, "The Detective and the Magician", featured on EqD this Sunday. 5 stars! You can read it on fimfiction. Trixie tries to get Fetlock Holmes' attention by becoming a criminal.
  8. My new story "Big Mac reads something purple" is taking off fast on fim-fiction! It's been up half an hour, and it's in position 19 on the leaderboard. Wheee! (Yes, I'm an attention horse.)
  9. I'm guessing she isn't pregnant, it's some kind of mixup due to her cluelessness? Reading now. Brony in Equestria... ADDED: Hey, it's actually well-written! Just finished 2nd chapter. Sadly, must stop now.
  10. I just posted a new Spike vs. Discord comedy, Behind the Scenes, to fimfiction. Spike is trying to film My Little Pony: Season 3, but the Elements of Harmony keep fighting, Celestia thinks she can arrive on set late just because she's a goddess, and the producer from Hell almost seems to be trying to wreck the production. It's about 1400 words. Some LittlePip-level profanity.
  11. How did you make the purple rectangle saying 'FAN FICTION' appear in your post subject?
  12. I have a bunch of short stories up under Pony Tales, but the riskiest one, which I'd most like to hear what people think of, is "No Regrets". It's a first-person Twilight story in which, at the end of her life, she thinks back on her obsession with her study and her work, and what it cost her. (This thread is called "Regrets" because Twilight Yagami already started a thread called "No Regrets", and the story is about regrets anyway.)
  13. How did you get the purple rectangle that says 'FAN FICTION' to appear to the left of your post topic?
  14. I hate to encourage a rick-roller... but that was funny. Cut out the stuff at the beginning about being a brony; it doesn't add to the story and loses readers.
  15. A very short comedy I put up here on fimfiction, featuring Twillight and Tyrant Celestia. Twilight discovers Equestrian ponies aren't the same as those in her anatomy texts. Not explicit.
  16. Lots of OC fics at fimfiction.net and ponyfictionarchive.net. There doesn't seem to be a place on this forum to post links to fan-fictions, though! It should have its own section. (My mistake. It's in another section.)
  17. I gotta lean towards "almost anypony can use them", because Dash is the element of loyalty and is too selfish to be loyal, while Applejack is the element of honesty and is also the only pony to break a Pinky-promise. Switched at birth:
  18. Silly colt! Big Mac is a male. Male ponies are for pulling carriages, carrying heavy things, being Celestia's eye-candy, and doing stupid things that Twilight has to fix. Haven't you seen the show?
  19. I was visiting relatives, and we all watched Captain America together, except I kept walking out because it was so childish it annoyed me. The next day I showed some of the kids My Little Pony, sure that my family wouldn't make a big deal about it because they were reasonable and mature and all that. Wow. Wrong. So I told them, "You were all watching a movie about a weak guy who was turned into the One and Only Chosen-One/Great Superhero who was so bad-ass he could charge into a Nazi fortress and beat up all the Nazis, even the super-villain they invented because Hitler wasn't bad enough for them. And you are calling me childish for watching ponies." They didn't get it. If that doesn't work, show them an episode of Friendship is Witchcraft, preferably episode 4 with Sweetie-Bot, and pretend it's the real show. They won't figure out that it isn't. The tough question is: How do you tell your kids that you're a brony?
  20. No, bro. Hide it. My parents made me go to a psychiatrist for some bullshit reason in middle school, and later when I went to work for one of those 3-letter government agencies I had to answer a bunch of questions about the whole episode. Fortunately they really wanted me, so they were willing to tolerate a little crazy.
  21. I wrote this script, and tried to make it fit the episode format as best as I could. It's meant to take place later, in season 3, after Sweetie Belle has learned some magic and Scootaloo has learned to fly. The story is: Apple Bloom becomes depressed that she can't fly or do magic, and becomes convinced that her friends don't really want her around anymore. Apple Jack doesn't take kindly to these thoughts, and tells Apple Bloom to buck up and face the apples. Apple Jack gripes to Twilight about it. Twilight tries to be sympathetic to the plight of earth ponies. This does not go over well. Rainbow Dash feels sorry for everyone who isn't a pegasus. This also does not go over well. The friends split up and gripe to their other friends. Soon all Ponyville is upset about the conflict. Ponyville is mostly earth ponies. No one in town will sell Fluttershy carrots for Angel. Fluttershy is sad. Big Mac finds this unacceptable. He goes into town to get a carrot for her. But he can't. He doesn't know what to do, so he sits down in the center of town and won't budge. Derpy joins Big Mac. Et cetera. The street is entirely blocked with ponies sitting down, with a lot of them not knowing why they're doing it except that they're very upset and don't know what else to do. Profit. Wait... that last step isn't right. I think something else happened. Possibly involving Fluttershy and Big Mac. It's all hazy in my memory.
  22. I was referring to sending Luna to the moon for 1000 years, and turning Discord to stone for 1000 years. Not that I'm questioning Your Majesty's wisdom. Or, for a very different point of view than mine, see Happy Thoughts, by some hack called Shagbark. Rather than argue the point, I'll just point out that I didn't say he wanted to. I said he would. Citation: The Bible. (I'm aware some people argue that God does not "send" people to Hell, but that this is just something that happens on its own without God's intervention, or as the working out of the Laws of Justice which even God cannot violate, or many other variations on the theme. I'm not interested in having that discussion again.)
