  1. 10 minutes ago I was being let down by my entire team in Heroes of the Storm... :/
  2. I use Actual Multiple Monitors to independently and randomly cycle through about a thousand different wallpapers, changing every 5 minutes.
  3. In what little free time I have to play games, I'm spread thin amongst far too many... PC - Dark Souls (Revisiting) - Heroes of the Storm - Kingdoms of Amalur - TERA PS4 - Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (Competitive Ranked) - Destiny (PvP Only) Wii U - Mario Kart 8 (Online Only) - Splatoon
  4. Seven pages and no one has said my favorite yet? Yup, it's Mawile. In my opinion, Mawile is the perfect Pokemon. It is extremely unique, fiendishly adorable, statistically amazing, and is/was incredibly viable competitively. In Generation III I instantly fell in love with Mawile's markedly unique features, despite it being a pretty lackluster Pokemon overall with only a single typing and mediocre stats. Still, I've always made room on my team for Mawile, and my diligence and faith was finally rewarded in Generation VI with the gift of a new typing and a mega evolution. Let's talk Pokemon shop for a few moments. Mawile's newfound steel/fairy typing is one of the best possible combinations, boasting a whopping 9 resistances and 2 immunities versus only 2 weaknesses. On top of that, Mega Mawile's Huge Power ability allows it top out at a monstrous 678 attack, whilst still pushing a very respectable 383 defense. A diverse movepool and access to top tier STABs finish out Mawile's kit, and now the once NU tier Mawile sits amongst the legendaries in the Uber tier.

  7. I have backstage passes to meet Rush during their R40 tour later this month. I am STOKED. What was I doing 10 minutes ago? I was (and still am) sitting at my desk at work wondering why I'm still at the office at 8 at night...
  8. It's infuriating to think how bad WoW is today compared to BC/WotLK... Summergale ft. Cranius - Ulduar
  9. I love all dogs but, if and when I'm able to financially afford to own dogs of my own, I have a few particular breeds in mind. 1. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is widely regarded to be one of the most friendly and loving breeds around, and they are also often heralded as the quintessential lapdog of choice. 2. Pug Let me preface this choice by saying I absolutely do not support the continued inbreeding of the Pug, and I would never purchase one from a breeder. That being said, I still find them incredibly adorable and would adopt one in a heartbeat. 3. Akita My large dog of choice, the Akita is essentially a plus-sized Shiba Inu. Incredibly smart but notoriously stubborn, owning an Akita would be a challenge I'd gladly accept.
  10. Hatsune Miku (Wowaka) - Two-Faced Lovers This is probably my favorite Vocaloid song to date.
  11. Cross-dressing is strange for sure, but no stranger than a grown man watching a show aimed at small children so...
  12. Mayweather seemed to adopt the same strategy in the ring as he's been using against Pacquiao for the last five years...running away. This is exactly why boxing is a dying sport. Pacquiao was the only one trying to fight, and he lost because of it. This was easily the biggest and most hyped fight of the last decade, and millions of non-boxers tuned in for the very first time to see...Mayweather hugging it out. I'm sad that Pacquiao lost, but I won't be sad when boxing goes away.
  13. Comparing Leviathan to Progenitus is comparing apples to oranges. Progenitus is an extremely niche card that only works in very specific scenarios. Even if a deck does manage to make good use of Progenitus, there are numerous ways to deal with it in every color. Board wipes, sac mechanics, circles in white, etc. Also, it can be argued in many circumstances that, by allowing your opponent to drop a Progenitus in the first place, you've already made numerous grave mistakes. Getting back to your original point, however, I definitely understand where you're coming from. MTG can seem very overwhelming for both new and old players alike. I remember back in the Odyssey block when flat casting a Phantom Nishoba on turn 7 was considered a "big play". Obviously the game has sped up pretty drastically and flat casting large creatures rarely ever happens anymore. However, the cool thing about MTG, and my personal favorite aspect of the game, is that despite how much the game has changed over the years, those old cards like Phantom Nishoba are just as playable now as they were back in Odyssey. Wizards is very good about avoiding redundancy when it comes to creating cards and mechanics.
  14. Car commercials (most commercials, really) are not about trying to sell you a product. They are about being memorable so that when you eventually decide to buy a car, you're more likely to choose the ones featured in the commercials you remember seeing on TV. For example, if you ask random people to name a car company on the spot, you may notice that younger people say tend to say Kia more often than other brands. Why? Because of those damn hamsters from their commercials. I, myself, will never buy a Kia because I think they are pretty mediocre cars, but I will never be able to forget those chubby hamsters and their stupidly memorable commercials. So, in that regard, Kia accomplished their goal. That's how most commercials are intended to work.
  15. I too remember the days when power came with a price. Cards such as... - Ancestral Recall - Badlands / Original Dual Lands - Black Lotus - Channel - Demonic Tutor - Library of Alexandria - Lightning Bolt - Mox Emerald / Jet / Pearl / Ruby / Sapphire - Show and Tell - Sol Ring - Time Walk - Timetwister /sarcasm Comparatively speaking, modern MTG is far more balanced than classic MTG. I may not like every new mechanic, and the power creep is definitely starting to show itself at times, but for the most part nothing is really "broken" so to speak. Every once in a while a horrible abomination might slip past Wizards' vetting process, but these instances are typically few and far between.
  16. The first job I ever had was being a cart-pusher at Costco when I was 15. I distinctly remember how much the first two weeks sucked, as I was hired as a seasonal full-time employee in the middle of the summer. Having to drag and push 600 pounds worth of shopping carts out in hundred plus degree weather for 8 to 10 hours a day almost caused me to quit on more than one occasion. However, after I got my first $800 paycheck, I never thought about quitting again.
  17. In my opinion, the problem with Populate is that you're forced into green/white, and if you're going to run that style of deck in those colors you might as well just go for something better/faster like Cats or Soldiers. At best I see Populate as a support mechanic for something like a hybrid Soldier deck focusing around Sigil Captain to quickly amass an army of 3/3s.
  18. If you really want to get into EDH, go out and buy one of the Commander 2014 premade decks. They are pretty affordable considering what you're getting, and unlike previous Commander decks these ones are actually really good out of the box. My current Elfball was actually conceived initially using Guided By Nature.
  19. I've been playing MTG on and off since 1999. I never got into T2/Standard and mainly stuck to playing EDH, Legacy, and 2HG variants. I'm definintely a Johnny-type player, and love to craft my decks around combos and tribes. Currently, I'm only really active in EDH/Commander and run a mono-green Elfball. In 60 card formats I usually run a black/green Gorgon tribal or a colorless Myr combo/tribal. I also have a 5-color aggro Sliver that none of my friends let me play because it's way too Spike, haha.
  20. Even though it's NSFW I really enjoy the humor of the Milkmare of Trottingham AKA Milky Way.
  21. When I was still in school, if I didn't feel like going to class I'd usually go see a movie by myself. It's...peaceful and relaxing...
