    This fandom is like The Boy Who Cried Wolf. At one point or another, every episode has been declared a jump the shark moment by someone in the fandom. It's gotten to the point where I can't take claims of shark jumping seriously and just roll my eyes whenever I see someone saying FiM has jumped the shark.

    I've always assumed Equestria was a federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy, similar to Germany at the turn of the century.

    Quibble reminds me of Brainy Smurf, right down to his know-it-all attitude and tendency to get into trouble.

    If Equestria were to become a republic, I'd probably vote for Twilight Sparkle. As it stands, I think she'd make a good Prime Minister, since my personal headcanon is that Equestria is a Constitutional Monarchy, albeit with substantial powers reserved for the Head of State.

    I'd like to see an episode that does for Silver Spoon what Crusaders of the Lost Mark did for Diamond Tiara. I'd also like to see Starlight Glimmer get some episodes where she interacts with the other members of the Mane Six.

    Even by the standards of MLP logic, I don't think it's likely King Sombra survived being vaporized.

    You and I seem to have the same opinion on Starlight Glimmer: we don't hate her, but we're not crazy about the way the writers handled her. I think that's how the majority of the fandom (save Starlight's fanboys and haters) feel about Starlight right now.

    I wonder what role Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are going to play? I hope the writers don't scrap those two now that they've been reformed. That being said, I'm looking forward to this episode. I'm hoping it'll follow in the footsteps of Saturdays of Thunder and Grand Prix and take a fairly mundane premise and make it entertaining.

    I don't want to see any more villain redemptions. Not only is it getting repetitive, but each villain redemption seems to be handled more poorly than the last.

    I don't think she's had enough character development to be elevated to "mane" status.

    Tell that to King Sombra. Starlight's redemption could've worked if they'd given her a different backstory and redeemed her gradually rather than doing it through a montage. I think Chrysalis is only out for herself, but claims she's doing what she's doing for her subjects in order to rationalize her actions. I support this.

    If we're going to compare Discord to a deceased Middle Eastern dictator, I think Muammar Qaddafi is a better comparison than Saddam Hussein, considering the bizarre and disorganized manner in which he ran Libya, as well as the way he supported terrorist and insurgent groups across the globe. Other potential Discord analogues include Idi Amin Dada, Jean-Bedel Bokassa and Francisco Marcias Nguema.

    The problem with Starlight is that the redemption montage at the end of The Cutie Re-Mark did away with a potential story arc for Starlight, namely Starlight bonding with each of the Mane Six and earning their trust, as well as Starlight making amends with the Equal Four. That being said, I think the writers should try pairing Starlight with the other members of the Mane Six. Even if it doesn't fully rectify the mistake the writers made in redeeming Starlight through a montage, it would go a long way towards alleviating it.

    I heard somewhere that Starlight Glimmer is going to be promoted to "Mane" status at the end of the season. Is this true? If you don't mind me asking, why don't you want there to be a Season 7?
