  1. Well yes, I think there should be some way of making episodes available to fans legally (helllloooooo, cash cow!), but for the time being, fans just have to 'resourceful'.....
  2. Yes, then they're coded searchers, as poster below said!
  3. My dad was diagnosed with Major Depression a while ago now, but he's coped with it and managed it well, and is doing a lot better these days, however I have never been diagnosed with anything. And actually on this note, I just completed my degree in psychology(!) so I could talk a lot about this...Stigma is definitely an issue, even in the general misunderstanding of what mental illnesses are and how to interact with the people that experience them. I think it's good that you've become an advocate, as one of the best ways to stop this 'fear' is with information and patience. It's also good to hear that you're doing well! There is that fact, but there are also the socialization factors. Girls are generally spoken to and interacted with a lot more than boys are, and this can help contribute to the level of autism an individual experiences.... At least that's part of the theory.
  4. I'm not sure if it's quite the same as other forums, but normally it means that someone is browsing the site through that particular search engine, and is not a registered user. Unless they have an actual profile you've clicked on...?
  5. Lady Gaga is the most creative, and will probably be the most likely to reinvent herself like Madonna (and continue to steal song inspiration from her...?), but Adele just has the unrivalled talent, I think..But that being said, I think it is a little stale. I'm not a gigantic fan of hers, but I definitely respect what she does. I think Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are just able to do something much more eye catching and interesting for me... And ALL that being said...I voted for Katy Perry as my favourite because I just love who she is! She's clever, outrageous, and fun, but also so down to earth for a celebrity of her status. I feel like in some strange way I identify with her the best, even though I don't like all of her music. I just really like HER....! Plus I will forever love California Gurls and its music video....! So in the end, I love all three individually for what they do, but I just have this weird feeling that I identify the most with Katy Perry. : )
  6. Finally a thread for me! I'd say my style is classic, feminine, but with a bit of edgy, trendy glam. I generally go for classic cuts and shapes with any type of feminine details like florals, lace, and ruffles (but not all together, it's all in the subtle detailing!). But I'm not averse to incorporating trendy pieces such as something like harem pants, just to keep the outfit updated! For work I generally stick to pencil skirts, blazers, collared dress shirts or sheath dresses in a variety of colours, and mix and match them. I also switch between skinny dress pants and wide legged trousers, depending on the type of day since skinnies tend to be more casual. For school (I JUST graduated, so I'm sad to be removing this from my list!), I keep things more casual. My work blazers work double duty, as I'll often pair them with flats or knee-high boots with a slight heel... That, or I wear longer cardigans with leggings, or shorter cardigans with actual pants, and then I either wear skinny jeans or skinny pants in various colours (which is great with the new coloured pants trend!). Or sometimes I also wear shorter A-line skirts/dresses with tights underneath, or if the weather allows, maxi skirts/dresses with cardigans or sweaters layered on top! : ) And as for casual....If I'm going out with friends, I generally wear the same type of outfits I would wear to school. And with all of the outfits I mentioned above, accessorizing is key to make each outfit unique! I love scarves, and generally with more casual/school clothing I almost ALWAYS wear a scarf--winter and summer! I also love statement necklaces, and so I often add them to my work outfits and sometimes dress them down for casual outfits too. : ) That was really long, but...it had to be said! Well, when you say "elegant/refined", I think of a dress pants, dress shirt, and matching blazer, not "T-shirt and jeans". It kind of DOES matter when you give it labels like that because I would not show up to a gala with an invitation that said "elegant attire" in a T-shirt and jeans....
  7. It looks great! I love it! : )
  8. I think my order of favourites is: 1. Love is in Bloom 2. This Day Aria 3. BBBFF I can't wait for the full version of Love is in Bloom to come out!
  9. Those are amazing plushes! I wish I could learn to make plushies, and save myself all the money, not to mention the customizability and fighting for plushies with every other fan~!
  10. I like peanut butter and cheese on toast.... I also really like eel (Japanese cuisine) and chicken feet (Chinese cuisine)! They're delicious! : ) And actually at a restaurant one time I did try some alligator and ostrich meat, but wasn't very crazy about either.... And oh! I have donair quite a bit! The BEST is POUNAIR, though, which is donair meat with poutine! DELISH!
  11. Well, first off: he used a picture from the previous generations to head the article, which arguably was much more 'frilly' than the current generation! I can't help but feel the anti-femininsm wave kicking in with all this lashback against male fans; these critics are likely insecure with their own sexuality and so project that insecurity on those who can see past gender stereotypes and the previous connotations of the series. And losers with a childish obsession? I suppose he's too old to appreciate Disney movies, too. And fun, for that matter. Who sounds like the loser now? MLP:FIM is genuinely a good, fun, light hearted show, and might I add there is not one unicorn in the show that spouts rainbows from its horn. The rainbow is from a pegasis!
  12. It's a big maybe! It will all depend on how well the series is done and how appealing it is! I mean, I now consider myself an MLP fan, but I'm not going back and watching the original generations for good reason....!
  13. Ooooh this kind of thing makes me wish I had an OC! Inspiration just hasn't struck me yet! Good luck with this project! I can't wait to see the finished product!
  14. Exactly, and that is why she is my favourite! I feel like with this whole anit-feminism movement, girls are told that to act like a girl and to take pride in your femininity is a bad thing, which is not true at all! And hurtful, really--it gives an even worse message (with sometimes terrifying results). A character like Rarity (and it is fairly rare, since normally female characters are one or the other) embraces both femininity and aggression in the correct situations. She's not just a fashion designer, she's the business owner, and knows when to put her foot down. But she does it with all the grace and style of a feminine character! I just absolutely love her character for this reason, and I find it very inspiring at a time when I feel that as a girl, 'progressive' groups are telling me I should be more like a man.
  15. I think so too, and I hope she does come back, but I'm sure it won't be for a while...!
  16. I feel like singing!

They flew a flag of many hues! *grabs fabric*

  17. Well, your above explanation was very eloquently put, so I wouldn't necessarily doubt that! And it's very true, the ponies do cover some very stereotypical archetypes, don't they? That would make it easier for people to identify with them as idealistic partners because of their more vague characterizations....

  19. Now I remember! Yzma, from the Emperor's New Groove is my favourite!
  20. You have a good musical voice! Nice work!
  21. I think my favourite villain would be The Queen Changeling... At least, she's all I can think of off the top of my head! ^^;
  22. This is definitely one of my favourites from the series! It sounds 'normal', and not somewhat cheesy like a lot of songs from season 1 did. I can listen to this on replay forever.... : )
  23. Very cool, I just love their design! So creepy! And your art looks good! : )
  24. I try and eat more, but smaller meals throughout the day, trying to eat portions no bigger than the palm of my hand 5-7 times a day. I eat as soon as I wake up, and I eat no later than 7:30pm. The keyword in all of the above is "try".
