It seems harmless enough. I mean, there are other MLP based forums out there already. I used to be on a different one before I came here. They're not as good so I don't consider them real competitors. If EQD wants to get in the forum game, sure, why not? If they have something good it's up to everyone else to step up their game to compete, if they even think they need to compete. Ultimately it's just more of a good thing. Fans have their friends all over the place and will come back to them wherever else they may go. I haven't looked at the EQD forums yet and I don't really need to. I like it here just fine.

Would it be possible for a human woman to get Rarity's hairstyle?

That's a really beautiful painting. Watercolors and acrylics are so hard to use because they dry so fast while you're working with them, but you really nailed it! Nice job!

general media commercials love or hate ?
Dreambiscuit replied to Starbright Sparkle's topic in Media Discussion
That may apply for over-the-air TV but sadly not much else. I get DirecTV and pay plenty for it, but it still has more commercials than programming most of the time. When cable TV debuted, it was supposed to be an alternative to commercial TV, hence the price, but then the cable companies decided they'd just screw the customer and add commercials as well. Now it's the norm. If you have HBO, you pay the subscription price, but if there's ever anything that's actually worth watching, it's suddenly 'Pay-Per-View' so you get to pay again. If you pay out the nose for a sports package, forget about getting local games because they're always blacked out. And now, most hour-long shows have about 20 minutes of commercials. It used to be 10. They even compress some shows down by speeding up the frame rate (supposedly imperceptibly, but not really) to fit an extra commercial block per hour. As greed continues to expand, so does the amount of commercials. So I would have to say a big resounding 'NO!' to commercials. They're never interesting enough to justify the interruptions anyway. -
The Batmobile from the 1966 TV show is by far my favorite! It's so cool, sleek and stylish. I do like pretty much all the Batmobiles though. The one from the '89 movie is cool and takes the design in an interesting new direction, and even the tank-like modern movie versions have their charm. But I just can't get over the old original TV one. When it's done right the first time, nothing else can really compare.

I've never had braces. Fortunately I didn't need them. The last time I went to a dentist was when I was little, and that was just a checkup and cleaning, but that was enough to keep me away from dentists ever since. I personally think crooked teeth can be nice. They give a person character.

Blackjack if I want to have any chance at winning. There are systems for craps but they never worked very well for me in real life, just practicing at home. And it's always fun to play the slots, especially the poker ones. I'd like Roulette but if I'm going to just give my money away, I'd rather give it to my favorite charity.

Going by the unwritten laws of common sense, it's fairly clear how to define good or bad in general. Personally, I don't think any human being has the wisdom to judge another. Each person lives their life and learns from it as they go. The only time it becomes necessary to enact the law to dispense 'justice' is when someone becomes a threat to others. If they're a threat, it's no longer a matter of judging someone good or bad, but protecting the innocent. Justice is not a word that means 'giving a break to the bad guy.' It means giving what is right and just, whether that's punishment or reward. But again, no human has the wisdom to pass infallible judgement on another, so the question really should be "What is justice?"

Do you have a same-sex crush on a celebrity?
Dreambiscuit replied to Stormbringer's topic in General Discussion
There are lots of female celebrities that I like for various reasons like style, personality and ability. Some are very attractive too, but I don't follow most celebrities closely enough to know what makes them tick, and that's where any real attraction begins. Okay, maybe Emma Watson. -
If today was your last day on the forums, what would you do?
Dreambiscuit replied to Vulcan's topic in General Discussion
I'd try to answer all my PMs, and if there were too many to get to, I'd post an all-inclusive message on my profile and alert friends to it by status update. I'd then invite my friends to join me on my old pony forums and try to resume things over there. Then I'd post, post, post until it was completely out of my system. :-o -
What do you own that has the most sentimental value to you?
Dreambiscuit replied to Vulcan's topic in General Discussion
I'm super attached to all my plushies. They are part of my family and I've had them most of my life. I couldn't imagine living without them. I have sentimental attachment to lots of things, but my plushies are a source of affection and that takes it to the next level. -
I live in Anaheim, a big, bustling city and I love it! I can find anything I want here, can do anything I want here, and be anything I want here. If I can't find something I want, all I have to do is look to the greater Los Angeles area and the options increase a hundredfold. The beach is a short drive in one direction, the mountains and desert a short distance the other way. Granted, it's expensive, crime-filled and has all the problems you'd find in any major city, but I've tried small town living and that just isn't for me.

Flying is a basic one. But I also wouldn't mind becoming anything I want at will, even a cartoon character. Then my outer self would reflect my inner self.

What do you do when the electricity goes out?
Dreambiscuit replied to Luigi's topic in General Discussion
I hate when the power goes out. I used to live in a remote area where it used to go out all the time and it drove me nuts. Usually it would go out during a thunder storm, so I couldn't just go out and enjoy a nice stroll. I couldn't sleep it out either because I need the soothing white noise of an electric fan by my bed to fall asleep. Without power, no fan, no sleep, no fun. I now live in a real city with reliable utilities and I don't have to deal with the problem much, but I do keep a portable power generator next to my bed to keep the fan running if the power fails. (Don't worry, it's an indoor generator, so no deadly fumes!)
