    Doing a sum of my feelings to one of the season finales. I get the uncertainty of 2 characters not coming back next season due to budget cuts. I'll have to build an angry dome of so many words on this one The firefighter chief under investigation by the law for those suspicious devices mounted under cars. It was rough when a memorable portrait got cracked of its glass as it hit the floor. Severide is told the evidence seems obvious the chief did the crime, but it turns out they're looking into the wrong firefighter. The chief returns home and learns that a former friend had been writing one too many love letters. The ex-friend is the criminal and is arrested. After all that build up to head to the academy and take the written test, Herman decided to demote himself and have his pal Mouch step up. Herman seriously, you rightfully deserve being a headstrong leader of men One more thing to wrap this up. Congrats Severide! You're going to be a father
