    If I was pushed into deciding, I'd probably go for Apple Bloom, our adorable bow-wearing apple filly. I certainly don't have a least favourite. They're all amazing!

    For the first time in a year-and-a-half, I’ve updated my profile picture slightly. The Mane Six collage I made is still the same but I’ve used a brand new picture of me and I’ve also added in their cutie marks. The only downside is that there’s now a watermark for the software I made it in. But I’m incredibly proud of this and it continues to bring to life the dream I’ve had since the day I joined this fandom. Being with the six beautiful ponies who have changed my life for the better and watching the sunrise together. :wub: Please let me know if I should keep the cutie marks in or remove them. :kindness:

    This has absolutely been my worst day on the forum in the last two years. My emotions got the better of me and in doing so, I have offended a lot of people, especially people who work on the forum behind the scenes. I’ve sent an apology to them but I feel so horrible at the moment thinking about what I’ve done. Everything I said about what happened has been deleted. 

    To all of my followers and forum friends, I am so desperately sorry. I hope everyone can forgive me. Please don’t hate me… please.

      See it as a learning experience. We can always do better the next time. It would take a lot more to actually hate someone. Everyone knows that you are an amazing friend and a kind soul.

      @TomDaBombMLP I guarantee no one hates you after this.  You apologized, and learned something from it and that’s what matters. 
       

      From my understanding MLP has done a lot of good in your life, and you’ve made lots of friends here so getting emotional about this awful change is understandable.   No one I know likes this upgrade the software hosts have forced upon us.  

      Sounds like the staff are working hard so here’s to hoping they can work around our obnoxious overlords. 
       

      An analogy I think would be think of the forums and the staff as the writers for FIM while the software hosts are Hasbro.

      @Flutterstep I'm sorry, but what you talk about is no bug, but a new "feature". And it will get worse, because the developers of the forums software (not our staff) plan to fuse all the notification settings together. In the end, we can either turn it all on...or turn it all off. You can choose between endless spam or a completely silent forum.

      It will only get worse from here on out. :sunny:

      Honestly.. this is the most annoying upgrade so far; I’m gonna turn notifications right back off as I’m not getting the things I look out for anymore (friends status updates) 

      instead I get spams of “commented in thread yada yada” 😵‍💫

      @Pandora I feel you there, I have turned them off as well. I can recommend the streams:

      Show me pony! -> My Activity Streams -> My Friends Statuses

    I thought it was so jarring to go from The Magic of Friendship Grows and the book closing to just the normal ending theme like it was nothing. Certain episodes used to have special ending themes, where did they go?

    Here’s another pony story I forgot to mention from last weekend. When I was backstage with the kids waiting to do the show, they noticed me playing Akinator on my mobile to pass the time and pretty quickly, the kids started getting involved looking for a round. When one of them started playing, I noticed that the questions she was saying yes to sounded a little bit MLP-esque.

    Sure enough, it got to ‘Is this character from MLP?’, ‘Is this character pink?’, ‘Does this character love cake?’ She was guessing Pinkie Pie. Akinator got it right of course and some of the kids seemed surprised at how quickly I recognised it. I said ‘Who are we going for next? Fluttershy? Rarity?’ The kid said ‘No, Pinkie’s my favourite. You watch My Little Pony too?’ I said ‘Of course. It never leaves you.’ ;)

    Seeing FiM stuff out in public always means a lot to me because it reminds me of how much of an impact it continues to have. :wub:

    I ordered the new PC today for a massive €1400. :sealed: I may be pretty broke at the moment. :blush: But I'm sure it will all be worth it. :twismile:

    Also, I'd like to announce that @AppleButt, @Sven Seelenherz, @Astral Soul and me have formed an alliance, The G4-Team. B) I won’t take any credit, it was all AB and Sven’s idea. :mlp_smug: It is our duty to be as loyal to G4 as we can be, no matter what may change around us. :mlp_yeehaa: We shall protect the legacy of the greatest TV show made. :pinkie:

    In all seriousness, we really just want G4 to keep being the most prominent and important thing for us. I can’t speak for all of us but me and Sven in particular have gotten to a point where we really don’t like G5 and want to avoid even the slightest bit of association with it. I remember a while ago, me, Astral and AB all watched the G5 movie together virtually and it’s quite crazy to think about how much our opinions on it have changed since. I think the course of time and TYT are the cause of that. Again, I can’t speak for the other two but I myself went from ‘I liked it but I have some notes,’ to ‘It’s not really that good,’ to now wondering what people even see in it at all. I feel very bad saying this because a lot of my close forum friends do like it and get a lot out of it and I’m not in any way saying you shouldn’t. I’m actually jealous that you can enjoy it so much. For the four of us however, there’s only one show that we hold so dear to our hearts and that is the incredible Friendship is Magic. :eager:

      Yeah, the G4 gang :> What can I say except: I love it when Ponies come together ;)

      But regarding the G5 movie: My opinion hasn't changed actually, I still like it very much. But what has changed is my attitude to G5 thanks to he cartoon show (TYT?) style which definitely does not appeal to me at all. BUt to be fair I haven't watched it and I know people like it, so I don't want to or can even say it's bad or anything. It's just not appealing to me. What also let a very bad taste in my mouth was the change of voice cast. And then of course it's also me. I became introduced into Ponies in december of 2020, so less than two years ago. I don't want to switch to G5 yet, even if it becomes great. But I don't hate G5. It's just not the time for me leave G4 yet cause Im still so new and it'S not (yet) appealing to me.
