  1. I'd argue that Sunny doesn't In Ali-conned of Make Your Mark, Sunny does have a love for people and wants them to be healthy, but nopony listens unless she puts on basically a mask being her Alicorn form being like a celebrity. Opaline asked her if she wants to stay as her old formed self and be like that, because Sunny is literally treated as an outcast in her normal form. But at the end of it, she learns a lesson about how it's not the people who like you because of something that doesn't connect with who you really are, but it's the one's who like and care for you as you are yourself. And Sunny decides the ladder. I felt for Sunny during that episode, especially coming from someone who usually is outcasted by lots of others.
  2. I believe she's very overrated. I don't hate her, I just don't think she deserves all the love. Like in a Litteshy video when he was talking about Starlight he was like "Yeah Starlight's good but she's no Derpy." and I'm like "Dude, what did Derpy ever do to the show aside from memes and fan service? Answer: Almost absolutely nothing at all." Cause she only had like one episode that was "Slice of Life" and that was just it. It's like Starlight had an actual arc in the show and wasn't there just for fan love. Overall, like I said, I don't hate her, it just frustrates me when so many fans put her over actual characters in the show that had an actual purpose.
  3. Funny you mention it, it did happen in canon lol! I'm very happy about it. I was frustrated on why Lil Cheese had eyelashes and the snout of a filly and yet was said by Jim that it was a colt instead. But I found a conversation asking about the eyelashes to Jim that he answered that they just wanted to make Lil Cheese cute. Granted, he would still be very cute without eyelashes but I'll let it slide at this point. And I did just recall that Rumble was a colt too and had a filly snout. But I'm just happy to see Pinkie and Cheese in a great future with an offspring of their own. Plus fun fact, there was an early cut episode of Pinkie wondering where babies come from and knowing she was the only one of The Mane Six to have a child in the end is just pretty funny to me.
  4. I heard that there will be three specials possibly next year along with around twelve episodes for the next pack of episodes thankfully. We still also got that Christmas special later this year. Agreed though. I'm starting to get a bit impatient with waiting this long.
  5. I just saw it this morning, very happy to finally get characters that have been in the shadows. I think Sparky looks better in TYT than MYM I'm also happy to see Misty and Opaline being involved as well instead of just for the big series. Though I'm not a fan of that trope of the heroes overshadowing the villains over and over without even realizing it. It just makes Opaline not feel like a big deal. I'm not saying that a villain can't be in a series a lot, like my story in the universe of G4 has Chrysalis working for her goal for the entire first story, but she's not around for about half of it due to her not knowing where my main character has run off to. And even when Chrysalis does find her, it still takes her multiple steps to take over. But I'm just wondering off as that's a little more MYM's issue. But yeah, just happy to see them bringing in new elements as it does feel ike TYT"s been running outta ideas a bit lately. I'd give it a 3/5
  6. So I just watched the latest episode of Tell Your Tale this morning, and Sparky made an appearance in it and he honestly looks while not great, way better in 2D than him in 3D. And when Tell Your Tale's making a character better looking in it than the main show, you've got an issue.
  7. Happy to find a Rainbow Dash Fan Club here. I think she gets too over hated. It feels like people just dislike her for struggling a bit more with her element with Loyalty which I find to be a stupid complaint tbh. That's like criticizing Tirek for having more flaws than Fluttershy. Some people are more flawed than others (yes, I understand Tirek's a villain while Flutters isn't, but my point still stands) She cool, has an amazing singing voice, is one of the most meda characters, like when she said that Tia and Luna almost never ever help still cracks me up to this day lol! Overall, Dashie deserves a break from hatred.
  8. Hmm. I can't stand Grubber from the 2017 MLP movie. Flim and Flam are annoying to me almost 24.7. Not in like a love to hate kinda way, a just hate way. And Mudbriar in G4, I don't know what it is with him but when he's around I'm just like oh my god! In Tell Your Tale of G5, Queen Haven is just so annoying. Like in the Cloud Puff missing episode when she was crying and screaming at the literal start of it, I felt like turning the episode off. In The Owl House, I don't like Boscha In Amphibia, Mayor Toadstool I couldn't stand for a while, but now I do actually like him. My favorite movies are a bit tricky to find a pick. In The Lion King... I guess Timon. That's the closest that comes to the can't stand territory but I don't dislike him. I guess maybe Mariano from Encanto but I honestly don't dislike him either. Like I said, harder for my favorite films due to the fact that there're way less characters involved then like with MLP or TOH.
  9. To be honest, the final episode was a bit of a let down for me cause I was just waiting for something to actually happen, and it didn't. That being said, the final song hit me pretty dang hard. And is it just me or were Sparky's little parts in that song adorable?
  10. Some of my favorite games ever are Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 3 An Animal Crossing movie could be an adorable simple animated movie perhaps about like in New Horizons building a town and community And we could have maybe an origin story of the Inklings and Octolings (That may be a bit of a stretch admittedly) But I would love to see these two come to life on the big screen. Just, no live action of them, please?
  11. So I'm not the only one who doesn't mind Starlight's backstory? She questioned what having a cutie mark really means so she lead down the path to taking them away and making everyone equal. I do enjoy Iron Will from time to time, but I can understand why you'd find him annoying.
  12. Bug Queen best! She's not only a character I enjoy all the time, but she's also the villain in the show I see the most in myself. I have anger issues myself and every time I get a little too angry, I think about Chrissy and I'm like "No. Don't become someone like her." Cause I'm scared of driving people away from myself like she did. Top that off with the best villain song in the show, an incredibly creative design, her interactions with Cozy and Tirek and lots of other little details I could go over, she'll always remain as not only my favorite villain but one of my favorite characters in the whole show.
  13. Luna is best Princess Twily may be my favorite pony, but Luna is just the best. "The fun has been doubled!"
  14. Opaline and Misty gave me smiles from time to time not just because of a few of their interactions, but mainly cause it reminded me of how I wrote Queen Chrysalis and her daughter in my own story. But there was just something that felt a bit off of Opaline and Misty, and in a review of Chapter 2 I realized what it is, there should've been an actual genuine relationship between the two. Like how lots of us fans have been speculating on if Misty will turn on Opaline or not, it makes it less interesting cause instead of Misty being like "Yes, you saved my life and we're there for me when I needed you, but I'm gonna have to join friendship for the greater good of my life." it's gonna be like "Yeah you saved me but that's all you really did and were just a jerk to me so I'm leaving." As I said before, I've written a dynamic extremely similar to this, but it was only when Chrysalis's daughter was doing less of her duties and being honest that the Queen became more like someone like Opaline as opposed to earlier in my story where there's a moment when Chrissy got a bit in over her head and her daughter comforted her and Chrissy gave her daughter confidence and spirit. And because of that when her daughter finally leaves her it makes it more impact full because of their clearly once sweet relationship with one another. I just wish that was what the writers did for Misty.
  15. "The Ending of the End" NO QUESTION Mainly cause it just made the journey not feel worth it. "The Magic of Friendship Grows" itself thankfully saved the ending of the series enough for me, but just overall, I like to pretend that we never had that, but it then again is referenced a few times in "The Last Problem" so.... *Sigh* Just a waste and burden of an episode
  16. Yeah, even coming from someone who loved the G5 film and stood up for the generation, I fear I'm getting shot with bullets currently to me standing up for it's grave.
  17. Personally, I was enjoying the cute adventures in the first half of Chapter 2, but the second when I was waiting for almost anything to happen, it just didn't.
  18. It's been it's obvious missed opportunities. Like, after the film came out I was imagining Zipp having to be the one to get her family back into being royals of Zepher Heights while some Pegasi still feeling toyed with after the reveal that they couldn't fly either. Or, with Sunny continuation of research, and just a whole lot more things that should've been addressed. As well as it's obvious lack of continuity. I've been all caught up and sometimes I have no idea where in the timeline of G5 we're at. Like in Make Your Mark Chapter 1 as you all know Izzy unicycled Sunny's old lantern and we got a Tell Your Tale episode focusing on it, in that episode Izzy has her scooter and yet only discovers it in Make Your Mark Chapter 2 "Izzy Does It". And I don't need to explain its lack of continuity to G4. Overall, it's just missed the mark (ironically) for what feels like over and over again.
  19. It was quite possibly my favorite episode of the whole show to be honest. It's not as heartwarming as "The Perfect Pear", nor as exciting as "Twilight's Kingdom". But it certainly is the most I've ever laughed at a Friendship is Magic episode! On top of just being just a fun ride that of getting an episode finally not having the main cast in. I love The Mane Six with all my heart as much as the next guy, but I just wish we had episodes like this way more often in the show. Plus, seeing Chrysalis do an impression of Twilight cracks me up to the core! <3
  20. Lol I really really like Misty and I love her design but yeah, she seems to be in a stroke when it comes to her mane rendering.
  21. Overall, I'd say it was cute. Not great but not bad. Well, I'd say that the first half of Chapter 2 was very well done. Izzy and Hitch, while not as good as they were in the film are way better than they've been in Tell Your Tale mostly. And Zipp and Pipp's history of them once being very close but then growing apart but then them coming back together was very heartwarming. Plus, MORE ZIPP SINGING PLEASE!! And Sunny's arc in the Al-Conned episode was very tragic. Sunny feels that she needs to be an Alicorn to be accepted or liked, that hit me very hard. But I wish Opaline did more with her communicating with Sunny as it makes this episode feel a bit pointless, but I still enjoyed it. But the second half is where it lost me. I was excited many months ago when I heard that Sunny and Hitch's cutie marks where gonna switch much like Starlight did with Celestia and Luna, but it just left me confused due to them also all of a sudden swapping their personalities as well? it was just too distracting to me. Episode six I thought was gonna have Misty kidnap Izzy or something but didn't, but I still enjoyed the episode a fair bit, but the story's that Sunny and Misty brought up where never made clear on which or even either is correct and like many fans, Twilight creating the crystals feels like a Starlight move. And episode seven and eight really disappointed me. Episode seven I thought was finally gonna have Zipp catch Misty's moves but instead it's just Pipp admitting something else. And the final episode was just ugh! I'm personally not a fan of having villains trying to take down the hero over and over and failing again and again in what is or almost every episode of a show. I am happy to see that Opaline's moving along in getting some of her magic back but it feels almost too late. For example, Cozy Glow, Chrysalis and Tirek in season nine of Friendship is Magic, they where just behind the scenes popping up once in while and every time it moved the plot along. In Frenemies we get to have their characters get the bell, decide to betray Grogar and work together. Then in Summer Sun Setback they where still doing the same thing but this time it was very different by switching between their doings and our heroes during it all in just one twenty two minute episode. But Make Your Mark's story is going at a snails pace. This feels like Steven Universe how you had to wait for weeks to entire months to see more of what you where becoming curious with the show's lore. Overall, like I said, loved the first part but was very disappointed with the second. Probably cause I was expecting more plot. But the next pack of episodes will be longer next time so hopefully that means we get something moving along. My hopes are is that the mane five discover more about Twilight Sparkle and how the crystals created, Opaline making huge progresses to her take over, some actual answers, development for our mane cast and Misty and just overall more engaging next time. I'd give it a 6/10.
