  1. Thank you so much! Aside from a slightly rough start, things are going very well. And I pray as much as you do that my experience is memorable.
  2. I donate US $5.00 a month to the Sierra Club, which is about all I can afford. I am poor. However, I also have my Amazon Smile set up to donate the proceeds from my purchases automatically to the Alzheimer's Association. Sadly, the Amazon Smile programme is ending on February 20... I'm very unhappy with Amazon's decision. I set up a monthly US $5.00 donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of my grandma and grandpa, both of whom struggled with dementia. That makes two charities at a combined total of US $10.00 a month that I'm donating. It's the best I can do... Obviously, the environment and dementia-related conditions (of which Alzheimer's Disease is one) are very important causes to me.
  3. Aww... Thank you. You're a sweetheart. Thank you so much for your compassion and support!
  4. I used to drink soda like it was going out of style, going through up to a 12-pack of 355 ml (12 fl oz) cans a day, but then came the first time I tried to lose weight. I quit cold turkey and only touched them on special occasions. Then I got on a couple of meds that made me gain all the weight back, and a whole load more atop that. However, I never went back to soda like before. I had a 355 ml (12 fl oz) can or two a week at most. However, I did get into BANG Energy drinks in 2021! Sugar-free and 300 mg of caffeine! The flavours were do die for, too! Sadly, it was not to be... In late 2022, I caught pneumonia, and thus began a harrowing medical journey, as my symptoms never fully went away. It took from October 2022 until January 2023 to figure out what was really wrong: Heart Failure with Preserved Injection Fraction and Pulmonary Hypertension. I was put on furosemide and Entresto, and was told that caffeine (including chocolate) was henceforth forbidden to be eaten or drank. No more energy drinks; not even chocolate! So, now I drink no caffeine and eat no chocolate at all. I'm also not permitted alcohol, so no more Merlot, cocktails or Margaritas... All I drink now is water, to be safe. However! I am still loyal to The Coca-Cola Company and their products like Dasani (my water of choice).
  5. Thank you so much! Where I live, the quality of the provider depends purely on the provider, not the title. Some doctors are amazing, while others suck. Same with specialists and nurse practitioners. Thankfully, the only sucky nurse practitioner I have that is sucky is my pulmonologist, and I rarely ever see them. You are right, the body is capable of amazing things. But it's not capable of curing heart failure, as that involves physical enlargement and damage to the heart muscle. I'll have this until I die, and I'm okay with that. I chose to accept my condition and concurrent disability. And don't you worry! I am stricter with myself than the hospital was when I was staying there. I'll live for years and years. Also, I am glad you are getting your condition treated. I hope your lisinopril keeps working well! Lisinopril is an amazing medication and I'd suggest it to just about anybody as a first thing to try if they had relevant issues.
  6. Hi, @Methuselah! So, I like Sonic games myself, although Mario is also great. I also enjoy the 2.5D Klonoa games (I hope that's okay). Since I don't know what consoles you own, I'll just pick a variety that I feel are really good, okay? I'll throw my favourite Mega Man game in for good measure. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 for SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Sonic & Knuckles for SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Super Mario Bros. 3 for NES Mega Man 5 for NES Super Mario World for SNES Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for SNES Donkey Kong Country for SNES Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for SNES Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! for SNES Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for PSX / Nintendo Wii / Nintendo Switch Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for PS2 / Nintendo Switch Sonic Adventure for SEGA Dreamcast / Nintendo Gamecube Super Mario 64 for N64 Donkey Kong 64 for N64 Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch There you go! I hope this list works out for you.
  7. A nice metallic shade of light blue. 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage LE:
  8. Very much still a little genderfluid girl at heart. "Young."
  9. People want to be feared because they want to have control over others. If people are fearful of you, they won't resist decisions you make or actions you take. Look at people like Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, The Kim Family, Vladimir Putin, Mao Zedong, and so on. There are countless examples throughout history. Authoritarianism, autocracy and totalitarianism are all tools that instill fear in the masses. Anyone who wants to be feared is very likely like one of the people cited above, whether they are in political power or not.
  10. Thank you so much! I hope I do, too. No problem. I know it's a thing amongst loads of people, so I'm used to it. Thank you so much for respecting my wishes!
  11. Leader, without question. It's gotten me into way too much trouble, though. I no longer lead anything aside from my household, very much by choice. I'll never be an admin, a mod, or someone in charge of a group EVER AGAIN!
  12. I wish that @Pastel Heart could expedite the process of moving to where I am, so we can finally have our highly-anticipated life together...until death do us part~
  13. The weather right this minute in my location (measured in Fahrenheit, using the meteorological forecasts from The Weather Channel on their iOS App):
  14. I am! I am! I was diagnosed in the late 1980s, and I was still a little kid. This is highly unusual, as most people's parents aren't as proactive as mine were. Thanks to the early intervention, I got support and help when I needed it most. I grew up into an adult who understands herself very well, and who knows her limits.
  15. Street Fighter (1994). I genuinely believe it is one of the best films ever made, right up there with Titanic. And no, this is NOT a joke! If you don't believe that, read this.
  16. Pokémon Violet for Nintendo Switch. Super Metroid on Nintendo Switch Online.
  17. I run Windows 11 on an HP Omen that I got from the nearest Micro Center. It's a middle-of-the-road Gaming PC desktop that has the best processor for around US $1000. Here's my Speccy screesnshot:
  18. No. it's course, and rough, and irritating. and it gets everywhere. ...I actually LOVE sand, though.
