  1. Yep. Even before the term guilty pleasure was something I was aware of (Grew up in the 80s), well MLP's original series as I mentioned elsewhere didn't strike me as that much different from the usual boy shows. If there is any tools from the era that were good, DuckTales, The Real Ghostbusters in it's syndicated half and The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin. At best also stuff outside the US acquired like The Raccoons. Transformers, G.I.Joe, Captain N The Game Master for example, not so much. But besides the stuff action oriented, The Baby-Sitters Club show from the 90s (Watched the Netflix version and pick up the GN). Watched Rainbow Brite quite a bit. Plus Madeline when it aired on the Disney Channel. And though I do find Strawberry Shortcake Berry in the Big City to be a recommended watch, I have since 2020 watched the older shows. Also watch the 2018 Polly Pocket.
  2. So what if MLP Friendship is Magic premiered say in 1999 and shortly after was for whatever reason added to Toonami:
  3. Well for you and anyone who might not have check the show forums, MLP Rainbow Roadtrip has surface on Pluto TV's On-Demand section.
  4. Having had my first rewatch of Kim Possible via Disney Plus in 2020, I had my changed to the Kimmunicator beep.
  5. Just something I thought would make a fun discussion factoring in characters from other properties and seem like they would be uninterested in MLP. But for reasons whether the quality of G4 or some softness find themselves enjoying it. A couple of contrasting examples to begin with: 1. Kim Possible. Yeah, Ron and Rufus would strike me as enjoying even the early Gen shows. Heck I imagine their occasional teacher Steve Barkin to be a fan. Even having students doing related essays from time to time. No, much like how she is a closet Cuddle Buddies fan, I think she would enjoy say FiM or most of it, but keep it on the down low and claim she follows it for her boyfriend's sake. 2. Believe it or not, I think Beavis from well Beavis and Butthead would find any of the shows appealing. He tends to be more sensitive in the later portions of the original series, even say enjoying the kindergarten activities or Dr. Seuss. But what inspired this idea especially the 2022 segment where the duo watch Dynamite from BTS and Beavis likes the video much to Butthead's disappointment. So yeah, just imagine him humming the MLP tunes.
  6. Would be nice if this had a dual release with Best Gift Ever. But not the worst way to end a series. Sci-Twi's objection to Fluttershy using animals to rough up someone though. Makes me wish there was a story with Pony or Human Fluttershy leading some forest animals into battle set to Ride of the Valkyries.
  7. Nope, this isn't a precursor to Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged. This is from the official English Dub, specifically the GX episode "Head in the Clouds, Part 1".🤣 Best commentary on how a kids game is serious business.
  8. Binged MLP S9 recently and resting to some Yu-Gi-Oh GX episodes on Pluto TV.
  9. Whether movie or show, kinda wished Sylvester Stallone got a guest voice. A chance to be a more literal Italian Stallion.😉 But yeah I almost always find castings like this interesting. Not just the celebrity casting, but productions mixing say some LA actors into a Nelvana or Ocean Group production. Don't know why, I just do. And not even just a couple among the cast. This, the 80s cartoon Camp Candy (which had the late John Candy) and the 2003 Mucha Lucha actually had a good mix of US and Canadian VAs.
  10. Not 100% sure memory wise, but Axem Gold. Reference to the Axem Rangers from Super Mario RPG and the 6th Ranger from Power Rangers Zeo.
  11. But yeah, besides more of the older Beyblade binging, working on first time views of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, more cause I'm a Dragon Quest fan and had been since the first game was distributed by Nintendo Power. Back then it was localized as Dragon Warrior and had a short-lived anime dub of Dragon Quest Abel Yuusha as also just Dragon Warrior. Has some occasional shared VAs with Friendship is Magic such as Brian Drummond (Mr. Cake and the original dub voice of DBZ's Vegeta*). *Yes, the guy who gave us "It's over 9,000!".
  12. Yeah and we get a similar bit of terminology like Someberry (ala Somepony) or bake the world a better place. Also some of the holiday songs give me a Best Gift Ever vibe. Anyway, here's some of the vids, in this case each Season Premiere and spoilers abound: - Season One: - Season Two: - Season Three:
  13. Yep, kept up with it over the years and still enjoyed most of it. Do need to catch up with the second half of BM and whole of Dino Fury. Followed since after Green With Evil. My first few viewings were Power Ranger Punks and The Island of Illusion two parter. I do follow the comics. And fortunately despite most of the old episodes being taken off Netflix, well at least we have legit YT uploads. Some of my stuff, though the majority of the Boom Comics perhaps for another time includes the Legacy DVD set: A couple of MMPR coins front and back, and four of the Super Samurai figures from McDonald's: Time Force Red Ranger, Megazord and an old MMPR movie book: Some older PR comics, figures and Pogs: From other posts: Some Super Sentai DVDs and that Power Rangers in 3D VHS which was one of the weaker yearly crossovers and shown in episode form anyway😅: https://mlpforums.com/topic/200445-any-anime-or-manga-fans/#comment-6149642 Video Games and other collectables: https://mlpforums.com/topic/3108-video-game-collection-brag-thread/#comment-6150004 Other toys, one of the last pics being a couple of PR morphers: https://mlpforums.com/topic/180236-what-toys-do-you-collect-if-any-aside-from-mlp-toys/page/2/#comment-6149792 And my more recent comics: https://mlpforums.com/topic/20340-the-recent-purchases-thread/page/66/#comment-6149582
  14. Thanks for your greeting and welcome fellow newcomer and Pokémon/Owl House fan.
  15. Hetero, but supportive. Especially more and more I feel reasons people even object to LGBT rights and such just don't feel genuine. Going back to that very old PSA Boys Beware which supposedly is just for warning people of child predators, but you don't see a scenario where a women preys after boys, I doubt seriously that there wasn't awareness of say hetero predators. If there were any legit concerns, then flimsy arguments like this wouldn't have to be made. Or say keeping acknowledgement of guys on the down low while say a previous President can publicly joke about dating his daughter.😏 Or wedding jokes like telling women that the underage ringbearer is single.
  16. Have all my anime related stuff and then some here: https://mlpforums.com/topic/200445-any-anime-or-manga-fans/#comment-6149642 MLP DVDs here: https://mlpforums.com/topic/16239-post-your-collection/page/30/#comment-6149644
  17. Not sure if Discovery aired it again, but it currently is available through Pluto TV's On-Demand kid section.
  18. So Tom & Jerry had an official crossover movie years back with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Tuffy Mouse even performing the tunnel song. Said scene despite say toning down the imagery still has Tuffy speaking the line "Are the fires of Hell a glowing?" That said, anyone ever imagine the song performed by Pinkie? I think she'd maintain the creepiness.😅
  19. Focus more is on comics now, but the games I have: And various game related stuff with some extras:
  20. Yeah, have that on DVD, but it is also streamable on Crackle. And as many note it is the only show that Siskel and Ebert ever appeared on.
  21. Yep, a definite favorite of mine. Best still being Gummi Bears, DuckTales (and it's 2017 series), DuckTales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Aladdin and Gargoyles. I did enjoy Goof Troops, Bonkers and even Quack Pack to a point. Also if any of you purchases comics every now and then, both Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck have been revived in comic form courtesy of Dynamite. Gargoyles even has a spinoff in mini form based of Weisman's planned Dark Ages exploring their days in ancient Scotland when the clan had many more members and Wyvern was first constructed. Even a collection of the old Disney Afternoon comics "Disney Afternoon Adventures".
  22. Comic store. I get along with the owner and while more harder to manage in the summer I do find it to be a handy way in getting some added physical activity.
  23. Plenty of these kinds of threads. Going with this one to account for any who don't use YouTube so yeah some might not count as even reviewers: - Nostalgia Critic - Angry Video Game Nerd - Bobsheaux - Brutalmoose - Chadtronic - Pat The NES Punk (Even got the physical copies of the Guide to the NES and SNES library books) - The Gaming Historian - Phelous - Console Wars - Linkara (Who is going to be reviewing Amalgam Comics soon, which is partially the basis of my name.) Also watch any uploads I can of Siskel and Ebert at times.
  24. Well one thing I like as I stated in my intro thread neither here nor there is them so far having a good done in one approach with even the first 10 issues being enjoyable on their own with smaller stories.
  25. Favorites whether legit good or guilty pleasure. A lot more than I'm listing: - Looney Tunes - The Flintstones - Yogi Bear - The Transformers - The Real Ghostbusters - Spider-Man (solo 81 series and Amazing Friends) - The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin (This and the first season of the 70s Flash Gordon cartoon* are a rare bit of Pre-90s animated serials) - Captain N The Game Master - DCAU universe - Darkwing Duck - Gargoyles - Hey Arnold - Avatar The Last Airbender - Kim Possible - The Spectacular Spider-Man - Batman The Brave and the Bold - Dan VS - DuckTales (87 and 2017 version) - Young Justice - Amphibia - The Owl House - The Ghost and Molly McGee - Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur - Strawberry Shortcake Berry in the Big City *Flash Gordon can be seen legally and freely on Tubi and the YouTube channel Comic Kingdom.
