  1. "Yeah, we're gonna go commando." "You mean going rogue, commando means not wearing underwear." "No, we mean commando."
  2. Baking (gotta respect the character limit)
  3. I'm waiting for my dentist appointment on Tuesday, the broken filling on my bottom tooth is bothering me whenever I eat something.
  4. My first Nintendo 64 controller that I got after my family moved out of my early childhood home. I found a grey controller at a thrift store back in 2012, and when I heard that there were GameCube styled analog stick replacements for the Nintendo 64 controller, my 12-year old self interpreted that as "you could install a GameCube controller's analog stick in a Nintendo 64 controller", so I took the analog stick apart to try to transplant the one from a cheap Gamestop GameCube controller, and when I realized that it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be, I tried to put the old analog stick back together and failed miserably at it. I gave it to my dad to fix, but he left it at his office at work and never had time to work on it, so it likely got tossed out. I did make it up by buying two controllers (albeit in blue and red instead of grey) after the fact, but I still feel bad about wrecking the one I found first. I never even got to use it because I didn't get a Nintendo 64 console until after I broke that controller. Another childhood possession that broke was the matching DVD player for my Mickey Mouse CRT TV. It stopped working in 2011 (likely due to a power supply failure) and I never managed to find a replacement for it. I still have the TV though.
  5. They claim it's rated TV-14, even though it's actually TV-Y.
  6. It's awful and always has been for the past ten years ever since it came out. What looked like a promising future for Windows turned out to be the beginning of its downward spiral to becoming the worst operating system ever (even worse than Vista or - for those old enough to remember - Millennium Edition). First, the consumer ("Home" and "Pro") editions are loaded with unwanted telemetry and pop-ups (which Microsoft calls "suggestions"), some of which can't be turned off. Examples include: nags to use Microsoft Edge instead of Firefox or Chrome, the full-screen nag to use a Microsoft account instead of a local account (first seen in version 1909), and most recently the end-of-support nags. Second, the operating system is buggy as hell. Explorer crashes on occasions whenever browsing the contents of an optical disc (CD/DVD/Blu-ray) or accessing a folder that you haven't opened for a long time, even on the LTSC versions. Seriously Microsoft? You had ten years to fix these bugs and you chose to neglect them instead? Third, there once was a time where Microsoft would annoy Windows 7-8.x users about Windows 10 and (in some cases) forcibly install it on their computers, it's as if Microsoft really wanted everyone to use their then-shiny new Windows version, even if some users had a legitimate reason to stick with their older and more reliable versions (e.g. they have to use software that's incompatible with Windows 10, or their hardware doesn't perform well on Windows 10), it had gotten to the point where people (including myself) had to disable Windows Updates on their Windows 7-8.x machines until the "free upgrade" period ended on August 2016. And lastly, the follow-up to Windows 10, known as Windows 11, is much worse than its predecessor from what I've heard: More bugs, unwanted AI features, and even more annoying nagware. If the software I use on a daily basis (notably yt-dlp and KiCAD) hadn't dropped support for Windows 7, I'd still be using it to this day. I think what I'm going to do once my software cuts Windows 10 support (most likely in 2028 according to my estimates, as that's when Microsoft will be cutting extended support for those who feel generous enough to pay for it) is buy a Mac Mini to replace my primary computer and install Linux Mint on my secondary computer.
  7. Do any of you Linux users here do video editing? If so, what editor would you recommend for someone who has used PowerDirector and Windows Movie Maker? I'm thinking about switching to Linux on my secondary PC once the software I use drops support for Windows 10. I have Linux Mint on my old laptop (which originally ran Windows 8), so I most likely will go with that when the time comes.
  8. DuckDuckGo, what have you been drinking lately?
  9. Why does this not surprise me? One of my biggest, yet unrealistic wishes is for Hasbro to sell the My Little Pony franchise to a group of people who are known for their work on the show (e.g. Lauren Faust, Bonnie Zacherle, and Megan McCarthy) or heck, even the Little Critter Workshop. In my opinion, Hasbro has done enough damage to the My Little Pony franchise dating all the way back to when FIM was losing its peak after Season 5.
  10. You can use your pinky finger to wind up the tape in an audio cassette tape.
  11. Earthshock Doctor Who (1963-1989): Season 19 Episodes 19-22
  12. I drank a cup of blue raspberry lemonade flavored Kool-Aid.
  13. Hello and welcome to the MLP Forums, I hope you enjoy your stay here. Pinkie Pie is one of my favorites too.
  14. Well, I don't like Holidays Unwrapped, mainly because the "Blizzard or Bust" segment counted Spring Breakdown (the worst special ever made) as canon, most of it felt dull, and they wore their regular (redesigned) outfits which were not appropriate at all for the Winter setting, but that's just me. Sunset's Backstage Pass and Forgotten Friendship were the only two Better Together specials that I liked.
  15. The rebrand to Discovery Family was a huge mistake in my opinion as it eventually led to Warner Bros. Discovery taking ownership of the broadcast and streaming rights for the My Little Pony G4 cartoons, leading to FIM seasons 5-9 being unavailable on streaming for a few years and Pony Life not being available to stream anywhere. If I was in charge at Discovery in 2014, I would've either sold The Hub Network to Disney or shut the channel down and sell the broadcast rights of their shows to other channels. I'm really hoping that Warner Bros. Discovery doesn't renew their contract with Hasbro to last beyond the end of this year, otherwise I'm going to write a petition for them to sell the rights for the MLP G4 cartoons to Disney so they'll have a better chance at staying on streaming for years to come. Discovery Family has been airing MLP:FIM for far too long to the point where it has been detrimental to its streaming availability.
  16. I purchased a custom transparent blue NES controller shell to restore a spare controller that had seen better days as well as add some personalization to it. I also bought a replica decal to finish it off. The seller carries these in a variety of colors, including the original grey color.
  17. I'm feeling a little irritated because a filling on my tooth broke off yesterday from eating a taco, so I have to book a dentist appointment.
  18. The Better Together run of Equestria Girls. Most of the specials from that run were awful in my opinion and I didn't like the redesigned outfits.
