  1. Trying not to get angry, the copy and paste feature in Windows acts up sometimes though, copies a bunch of junk when I try to copy text from Youtube videos. Sometimes it puts highlight on forums, another reason why I am going onto Linux on future PC builds, Windows is poorly coded.
  2. Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
  3. I got a name for our planet, Planet Hell. Fitting considering genocides continue to happen in year 2025. Given human nature it's impossible to fix what is wrong in our world. If it was possible to make our world less dystopian we would have done it by now, humans have been around for over two centuries since the start of the industrial revolution. People still make bombs and other weapons to kill each other, so I'd say our world is a lost cause at this point. It's as the fictional character BFG said in the Raoul Dahl movie, human beings make weapons like that and no other animal does it. He could have been more specific about it like why they do it, to steal land from other nations, their resources or even antagonize them for their religion, all which are much more selfish and nefarious reasons than say competition for survival, but he is right though. I agree with that poster on that forum, I'd leave this world for Equestria MLP if I could. However such a realm only exists in imagination. As for humans I think our species is on its way to extinction. By the way before anyone says it, yes I know humans have existed long before the industrial revolution as well according to evolution, but the industrial revolution should have made it possible to make our world less brutal, and it hasn't, technology instead gets used to cause more pain.
  4. A random fact about myself? trying not to hate Dragonball, as there are some things that fiction and its writers did well at. But it is so bogged down with contrivances and inconsistencies that I cringe at today. It has not aged well, at all. I remember earlier in the series where King Kai told Tien and Yamcha that Chiaotzu would not die from getting faceplanted on his planet which had extreme gravity they were still getting used to, due to being already dead, then they retconned the immortality of spirits in the afterlife by making it possible for them to be erased, effectively making Other World no better than the Mortal realm, kind of a big deal if you want to ensure spirits a safe passage from one world to the next. Later in the series during Cell arc, Cell claims he can only be destroyed if the nucleus in his head is taken out, but his head got completely blown off by Goku's kamehameha earlier in their battle, and he survived and regrew his lost head. Yes, in the Buu saga, the soul erasure thing does raise the stakes of the fight, but it also makes Other World completely unsafe when villains can just waltz in and blow it all to smithereens. You think residents of Heaven would feel protected if they were told that it was possible for somebody to come in and delete them? and with Zeno into the equation later, Heaven is now useless.
  5. Eh I am not too keen on Dragonball lately, the ineptitude of the characters and letting Frieza stay alive despite he will never reform and will continue to be a problem for everybody else shows just how bad Goku and Vegeta are at their job in the story. Why don't they (Toei) just write in new villains? at least when they made Dragonball GT they got creative with villain designs. I cannot stand Zeno either, he is annoying. I'm more into Transformers and My Little Pony FIM. Even with Transformers Cybertron, a universe would only be potentially be wiped out as a result of a spatial distortion caused by the Unicron Singularity. Optimus Prime could not have seen that coming after defeating Unicron on their last encounter, it's a different situation than some god getting angry and then erasing universes because they could not control their temper. when it is not action and adventure based animations, I watch slapstick like Ed Edd n Eddy and Looney Tunes, and while ineptitude of the characters is a recurring theme in shows like that, that is intended and it adds to the comedy, it works here.
  6. In closing, I do not wish to harp on too much about this, they're just fictional characters. However I want to say, to be honest I don't know who is worse, The Presence in DC or Zeno in Dragonball, they are both shockingly bad and inept at what they do. Their incompetence both led to universes getting needlessly wiped out. I'd never worship either of them if I were in any of their fictional worlds.

  7. Antimonitor wiping out universes in DC does add to the drama in a meaningful way but not if it is combined with the ineptitude of people who are supposed to protect them. If Constantine did not get harassed as much it would be a different story, but what happened in the story was not cool. If you were on a dying planet that was about to lose its magnetosphere after having lost about a third of its magma from an alien invasion, and you had the ability to turn back time, what would you do? sit idly by and let it happen? no, you would do what Flash did if you could. The whole premise in fiction, any fiction, doesn't matter what it is, of blaming people for an unforeseen consequence when using magic to reverse an apocalyptic situation when it is for a virtuous reason is stupid from the outset.

  8. About what I said about DC Universe and Constantine, do not misunderstand me, my criticism is not against Constantine as a character, it is how he is written that irks me. He gets blamed for being set up with no recourse or compensation, Infinite Crisis is an egregious example of this, where multiple universes get erased not by a villain, but by the incompetence of gods. I don't like Spectre in DC, as he sat on the sidelines allowing Darkseid to set a chain of events that led to Constantine doing what he did, asking Flash to create a flashpoint, then has the nerve to scold Constantine for using his magic to help. Spectre and the Presence are terrible characters.

  9. This did, a post I found on reddit. I am not going to describe the details of what this means either as that would not be allowed here. But as funny as that dream is, let's just say nobody expects to be making babies with a fictional character. Also I bet some people would be jealous.
  10. As hilarious as that is, I bet some people would be jealous of that.

  11. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Princess Luna and Celestia shirts. I plan to buy more.
  12. Starlight Glimmer was in a no win situation here, when mediating the spat between Princess Celestia and Princess Luna while swapping their cutie marks was a bold move on her part that could have gotten her exiled from Equestria, it was imperative to stop the argument between Luna and Celestia. Luna clearly still had unresolved problems that Celestia had neglected to discuss with her sister and help her through, so I don't feel like Starlight Glimmer was at fault for this one. I liked this episode, we get to see Starlight Glimmer putting a stop to an internal conflict and for Celestia to finally understand her sister more.
  13. Sleep deprived, only had 4 hours sleep. I'll try to have a nap later see if it helps.
  14. The reason why I say magic in DC Universe sucks is this, Constantine, if it is possible for him to accidentally trap a girl in Hell for a spell going wrong, the same is possible for any magic user in DC fiction, Zatanna, Raven, Etrigan, the list goes on. I could not think of a worse plot in a story to have something written in, and I say this as somebody who likes Wonder Woman in DCAU, I think Constantine himself is a decent character, although he exists in a different continuity entirely, but I often see him get blamed for things which amount to entrapment, and I don't like that, that is not the worst part about this though, his occupation pretty much requires him to dabble in magic and use it for self defence, it just comes with the unfortunate consequence of dabbling in unstable types of spells to banish evil spirits, but when there is practically no safeguard against sending a child into another dimension by accident, even if you're working on the side of good, those powers are worse than useless, they are broken. I see that Twilight Sparkle would sometimes get the blame in Hasbro's My Little Pony Friendship is Magic for her spells going wrong, even when she did not mean it, but at least magic in MLP is not this broken.
  15. At least in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic we don't have to worry about magic causing that to happen, accidentally sending somebody to Hell. I see Twilight Sparkle gets blamed for her spells going wrong but not to this extent. Having time to think it over, I realized just how bad magic is in DC Universe. Drawbacks for use of magic are one thing, but when you can accidentally send a child to a realm to be tortured for eternity, like in Constantine, magic is broken for the sake of edginess, it makes the spell worse than useless, it ruins the story.
  16. Extending my criticism of DC, Constantine is a poorly written character in general, gets a little girl trapped in Hell because of one of his own spells going wrong. Magic in DC must really suck if it is possible to accidentally cause that to happen. Edit: No I am not a fan of Justice League Dark, and I think it gets way more praise than it deserves. Batman did not need to be at the helm of Justice League to detect a problem with Cyborg's design that allowed Darkseid to spy on them, Batman could've investigated that any time, he chose not to, and Supes gets the blame for that as well. Batman is the techie of the group, he should have sorted it. it was more egregious later on in Infinite Crisis when Constantine got the blame for the incompetence of the gods in DC. Technically Constantine's actions were not to blame for countless universes getting wiped out, that would be the Presence and the Spectre who practically let Darkseid get away with everything, they suck.
  17. Infinite Crisis movie in a nutshell is Constantine getting gaslighted for the incompetence of gods in DC.

  18. Was thinking over how dumb the plot of Infinite Crisis movie really was. Constantine gets blamed for a disturbance in the fabric of reality threatening it but if the higher ups did not let Darkseid ruin a timeline in the first place, Flash would not have had to use the Flashpoint to prevent Earth from losing its habitability. Are we really going to have to discuss with WB why a story like that bothers people?
  19. I think this ethos existed with many people here even before they watched My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Empathy appears to be strong with people here, Even in private messaging they are thoughtful to us, staff here are helpful and give advice like recommending people see Counsellors if struggling with mental health issues. I get the vibe that they've been at this for a long time. And I don't regret joining this community one bit. Disagreements of opinions happen but people are civil about it still and don't call you names.
  20. Hi Hippity Hoppity, how are you today? good to see you're still alive. :) Nice picture of Fluttershy, what episode is that from? if you don't mind refreshing my memory.

Hiyo! I'm doing good! How are you? :squee:

The picture is from "Feeling Pinkie Keen" :pinkiehappy:

  21. Dick Tracy, I got to say the fictional character Alphonse Caprice is scary, when you hear the words "You're dirty, you need a bath." you know he wants you gone, if you know what cement shoes are you'll know what I'm getting at.
  22. Not too much did today, removing myself from watching videos about negative topics is in order I think, it is not because I do not care about other people, there is literally nothing I can do to stop what is going on wrong with the world. Also if I see a negative news story, I sometimes end up discussing it here, and could bring moods down of other people, I don't want that. My problems are not your own.
  23. I would not even compare Equestria from MLP FIM to worlds in Abrahamic religions. Heaven as told in Christianity depending on its denomination is a system of exclusion and discrimination, really barring somebody from a realm like Heaven because they're atheist? thankfully none of that exists, Heaven does not exist. By the way that is not my post on that forum in the picture As for how I feel at this time, calm, in a word, and I am also pleased to know I am not the only one who daydreams about a fantasy what I do. Our so called trials and tribulations in real life are just a never ending cycle of oppression and abuse, we don't actually get anywhere with it, because evil is not defeated and protesting is not enough to stop them.
  24. Finding a discussion about a fantasy I talk about sometimes. I already know your answer Night Sky, you told me, but it looks like more than a few other people have the same opinion. I'd leave magic up to individuals who are more experienced and trustworthy of its use if I could live in that fantasy world. But yeah the ability to fly and be a Pegasi there would be awesome. If my family dies and I am the last sibling remaining with both parents dead in the future, that would make my life more intolerable than it is now, don't know if I'd daydream about them being in Equestria at that point though, they may not want the same fate as us in my MLP fan fiction. But yeah, it would be cool to get away from the negativity of our world, discrimination and violence. Our world is rubbish, people put profit before humanity and that has been a problem throughout history and I don't see that ever changing.
