  1. Let me first say this is a interesting topic and I quite like it. Anyways back on topic, the one "special scent" for me is the smell of rain because it reminds me of when I was younger when I received a package in front of my house.(It was raining when I got the package) At first I didn't know what it was, that is until I shook the box and heard the familiar sound of Lego pieces. Now every time I smell rain I remember back to that time when I got that Lego set.
  2. Just a general question, does anyone know what paint to use for Blind Bag ponies? The paint is pretty bad and I would like to touch it up a bit.

True it does get a little confusing when both variations come together. In my humble opinion I feel that American English should adopt the British form. It somehow sounds more sophisticated if not more intelligent.

I also think someone got real ballsy calling it STANDARD...

In reference to the metric system.

      I absolutely agree.

  4. Added a lot of people on XBL, just waiting on responses. Feel free to add me as well, my tag is Desertleo77

  5. Been reading the "Unpopular Opinions" thread...I'm sad now T-T, I still respect them regardless.

  6. This theme almost seems obligatory considering the reasoning behind my oc's name. However I feel this song sums up the personality much better albeit much less dramatic.
  7. All quiet on the western front. And no I'm not the quoting the book, it really is quiet here in socal.

  8. The first forum I joined was a little site called FTP-Anime.com. It's a site primarily for...well you guessed it anime, though they did dabble in other topics besides anime. It took me some time getting used to the community, not sure whether or not I should post something let alone know where to post any opinion. The ponies there were really nice, save for a few I won't name, and have forged some really good friendships with quite a few of them. I had garnered a reputation for being a hardcore gamer...and something else that I'm not too proud of. You can check the site and look for my posts, they're labeled under desertleo. However I will say this if you don't know what hentai is, spare your virgin eyes and don't delve any further. As for why I left, I simply have a tendency to drift away from anything if I find that I'm not really contributing anything worthwhile.
  9. Nothing interesting going on my end. How about you? Anything interesting?

  10. Like I need another reason for ponies to avoid me, but the topic intrigued me so I'll give it a go. I never liked Kingdom Hearts, I never understood the appeal of Disney combined with Final Fantasy. I don't like the Harry Potter Movies, the books were okay just not something I was hyped over. I don't like MLP:FiM fan shipping. Some of it is fine and I can see some pairings work, however the "Fluttermac" and "Dislestia" ones I couldn't care less for. Also the Spike & Rarity ship...I'll just say I want it torpedoed. I love FPS, though I will admit the community is filled with pretentious douchebags (if you're nice and play fps this statement isn't directed at you) I hate the Lol community for what it has become, it used to be about having fun now it's filled with ponies who only care about winning. (Again if you're not whom I am talking about, I just haven't met you yet and I apologize.) I don't like Dragonball Z (and onward) and Death Note. Dragonball Z didn't give any sense of tension imo because any problem could be solved with the dragon balls and everything would be put back like nothing happened. I thought Death Note's animation was okay, but the concept of the anime...I thought it was boring. Though I may disagree with some opinions, I respect everyone regardless. Now to wait in line to be burned at the stake.
  11. Allow me to introduce you to my two favorite gamer bronies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr6L7-yVp0s&feature=context-shows&list=SL Be sure to check out their other videos, keep in mind there is some "bad" language but so much hilarity. Enjoy!
  12. XBL: Desertleo77 Steam: Untouchable77 I'd be honored to fight alongside any brony. I have to be honest though, I have a tendency to disappear at times.
  13. Where to begin on this topic? (Warning incoming lengthy post) Shyness has always been a trait of mine that I know I should get over, but I could never muster up the courage to be open with other ponies. It's not so much that I don't want to talk to ponies as it is the thought of being judged by them that gets me and let me tell you I am my own worst enemy when it comes to thoughts of being judged. Getting over of one's shyness is all about getting out of your safety zone and that is no easy task. In my experience it was like trying to break down a brick wall with your bare-hooves, but it gets easier if you have friends that share the same feelings. When I was in high school I was lucky enough to meet ponies who shared the same interests. Not only that but we were also a mixed bunch of weirdo's that didn't exactly fit in any particular niche except our own. If anything I'm grateful for them, because without them I would probably be even more introverted than I am now. Not to say that I'm not, but you get the idea. As for advice, I can't really say considering that I'm still in the same boat. However I can say this, finding ponies who share the same interests is a great way in helping breaking down your own social barriers. If you feel like talking to a pony with the confidence that they won't judge you then look no further than the brony community.
  14. How often do people pm each other? Is it a lot or not really? Should I be?

Thanks, I'll keep that mind. As long as my shyness doesn't get the better of me.

  15. I started watching anime a long time ago, about the time that Toonami was just starting out. My first experience with anime happened when I was channel surfing and managed to catch a glimpse of the ending credits of Sailormoon. I quickly turned back and was intrigued at the animation style despite the fact that it was...for descriptive purposes rather girly. It wasn't until Toonami introduced Sailormoon, Dragonball (not z) and Tenchi Muyo that my taste for anime started to grow. The funny thing is I was made fun of by my classmates for watching Sailormoon because it was "girly", now don't tell me that doesn't sound familiar. Anywho, I count myself as a strong anime fan even though the quality (imo) has taken a dive in recent years. I pretty much watch anything anime related, however I will draw the line when things get a tad bit gory for my tastes.
  16. My family has two long-haired miniature dachshunds, one of which is male about 8 years old and a girl who is 2 years old. We also have a cockatiel (not sure how old) and I take care of a beta fish which I have had for 4 years now.
  17. In general I start any game I play on normal the first time I play, however once I've beaten it from start to finish I crank it all the way to the hardest level. For the most part I only really do this for fps' and hack & slash games. I tend to avoid choosing the hardest mode in side-scrolling or top-down shooters otherwise I'll just end up rage-quitting.
  18. At the moment I'm replaying Fallout: New Vegas for the 4th time already. The funny thing about it is that despite the fact that there are multiple endings, I keep playing the same run through by siding with the NCR and maintaining an idolized status with everyone else but Caesar's Legion. I can't bring myself to be a "bad guy" even in a game. I've also been messing around on Bayonetta and MW3. Since I'm bit of a perfectionist, I tend to restart chapters if I don't do everything right.
  19. I would love to have anyone from the MLP: FiM universe be real...even the villains. Though considering that it's a singular character I wouldn't want to separate them from their friends and family. Unless of course it's one of the unnamed background characters that no one would particularly miss. In truth I would pick Iroha from Samurai Showdown. I'm not going to explain why I would choose her, I'll just let you find out why on your own.
  20. I have a fairly decent amount of videogames, however the thing I collect the most are anime figurines. Not the small mystery-box figurines but the 1/7-1/5 scale ones, though I did start my collection with the smaller ones. I could upload a pic, but I'm not sure that would be wise as some of the figurines I own are rather scandalous. Not naked mind you, but still rather skimpy.
  21. Originally when I joined this forum I used the alias of "Desertleo" which I use for pretty much anything on the internet. This is also the name I use on xbl just with 77 added at the end of it. However I decided to use Sand Piper as it seems more fitting for my oc rather than Desertleo. Also I wanted to use this name before but couldn't find any place appropriate. Why the whole sand theme you ask? Well I've always been interested in the desert, an ever-changing landscape that never looks the same twice. Not to mention all the secrets and treasures it contains, be them good or bad. You can say the same for the ocean, but you dive and discover things of value whereas in the desert they're gone for good...unless of course you attempt to dig it up.
  22. "Round Eighty" A big brohoof to whoever knows whom this signature move belongs to.
  23. The title of "Favorite Pony" has to go to Applejack, I really like her down to earth personality. However according to a personality test (I'm not sure which one) I'm most like Rarity. Not quite sure what that means, but I do share a lot of qualities with her though.
  24. The music is great, but the game is even better. A word of caution, can be quite bloody.
  25. Friendship is magic! Not very clever today am I, or was I ever?
