See, I heard about AJ and Rarity not being foils at the premiere but I wasn't sure if that changed with the final edition. One side is foil and one side is not for all mane character cards then? OK, as long as they are uniform it doesn't really matter to me. Rarity is my favorite and AJ is the husband's favorite so I am pretty sure that we would want our favorite ponies to have the same respect as everypony else. :3 Hahaha I can wait for the review... you need your sleep. My husband has to wake up at an ungodly hour in the morning for work 5 days a week so I sort of feel your pain.

I am struggling to find the Princess Celestia & Princess Luna foil card. That is the only one that I am missing aside from 3 gold cards and the unreleased promos. I am posting in this thread again because it has been a long time since anyone has said anything. I just want to mention that Rarity and Discord will be released in boxes. Rarity will be released in regular stores (Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc) Discord will be released at Hot Topic only. Not sure when exactly these will be released but I think it'll be sometime this month... just keep checking your local stores.

That does sound like it was a lot of fun! :3 Enterplay posted a PDF of the rule book on Facebook that you can download. I did that and read through it a little bit, but I am a hands-on learner so my husband and I will need to figure out the game together. Whether he likes it or not. :3 I was confused when I first started watching people play the demo on YouTube because I couldn't follow everything that was happening. Maybe with the combination of the rule book and watching the videos I will have a better idea of how to play. It is large enough for both you and your opponent to place your cards. This one was exclusive to a flash sale that Enterplay had on Black Friday. They have sold a few other kinds as well. Their regular play mat is one of Pinkie Pie surrounded by Discord balloons, but I like this one better. Now I just need to wait for the release, and then for Toywiz to send my cards.

I would be down for this if I had time to get good at the game. I have my husband to play with but I dunno how interestedhl he will be in the game.

I don't understand why they keep using those stock vectors. It would probably be just as cheap to use screen caps from the show. And it would look better. Yeah it would be fun to just make my own MLP calendar. I think my husband and I could come up with something good.

So I guess that makes up for it.

In that case, international shipping is going to cost a boatload. But that is what happens when you buy from online retailers in the US. But if you do not mind paying that much for shipping, I say that it is worth it. WeLoveFine is awesome and they continue to get my business if I want something pony-related.

December 13 is the new official release date. I just pre-ordered from Toywiz both Theme Decks and the 2-player starter deck so that my husband and I can mix and match characters and themes to create our own decks. His favorite ponies are Applejack and Rainbow Dash and mine are Rarity and Fluttershy. So I guess we can have a spare Twilight and Pinkie Pie deck. I am pretty excited about this.

I do not personally know any Christians, Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant, who hate bronies. At worst they think that bronies are weird but that opinion has very little or nothing to do with their Christianity. Someone explained this earlier - it has less to do with their religion and more to do with fundamentalism, which is popular in the United States. What little I know of fundamentalism has to do with the fact that they are very stubborn in their beliefs, to the point where they will say things about other beliefs (Catholicism as an example) in a negative light and skew those beliefs to fit their own opinions. For example, some of them might say, "Catholics are pagan because they worship Mary!" Well, no, we do not worship Mary in the modern sense of the word, but it is hard to debate with someone about that on the Internet. I wouldn't know from experience in person, though. There aren't too many fundamentalists in Michigan (where I am from) that I am aware of. Fundamentalists are usually (or always) Protestant Christians. But not all protestants are fundamentalists. Some are "mainline," some are evangelical, some are nondenominational, and I am sure that there are more labels than that. No protestant is required to be fundamentalist in order to have protestant beliefs. Fundamentalism is a purely American sect of belief. I could never imagine it in a place like Europe, either. Honestly though, I did not expect to hear about fundamentalism in SoCal... when I think of SoCal I think of Mexican Catholics, lol. But I am sure that there are way more religious beliefs around the area than Mexican Catholicism.

I have also only been regularly going on Equestria Daily for a little over a year. I do not have any knowledge of early days of the website. I don't think I've really read an all-out discussion on, say, clopping on Equestria Daily, whereas here it comes up every so often. Not that discussing clopping is "NSFW" but I wouldn't say that it's appropriate for children either.

I have never actually seen NSFW content on their site. At least not without warning. I like EqD because the interface is easy to use and it gives merchandise updates. Plus the Nightly Roundups are fun to scroll throigh. They are biased, I do agree (what is up with the Trixie obsession anyways?) but it is their website and people obviously do like it, so I guess they can do whatever the heck they want.

I would warn against doing a general MLP search on Tumblr... I needed to install the Tumblr Savior app on my browser in order to keep NSFW content from appearing in the search. Make sure that tags like porn, boobs, sex, etc are all listed as being blocked, and that if you are a kid, have an adult go through a trial and error of making sure all the appropriate tags are blocked before letting you browse.

Season 4 won't be on Netflix until after it is finished. Season 3 is on Netflix though so that is fun. I have a Netflix account but I didn't get it for the ponies. I rewatch episodes on there sometimes and the quality is great but it would kill me to wait until an episode was on Netflix to watch it at all. Netflix is far better for shows that you are casually into that you don't mind waiting for. I would get Netflix for watching reruns of shows easily. It has allowed me to watch TV shows that are older that I hadn't really been able to watch before, and I don't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for DVDs that I will only watch once or twice.

That is exactly what these particular toys are. They even use the same packaging as the original toys. Also, look at Gilda. She literally looks like someone spilled green paint all over her, haha. These would be decent toys to buy if you were interested in recoloring yourself, though.

I can't say that I have changed a whole lot as a person. But that doesn't mean that everything is exactly the same. First of all, it makes me happy to be part of a fandom again, and part of one as an adult - because when I was a teenager and a part of the Teen Titans fandom, I didn't have any way of collecting the toys. I really really really wish that there was a way that I could now. But I am glad that I have the funds to collect the toys, trading cards, and t-shirts that I want. It is great to be part of an Internet forum that we can talk about the show with people when a lot of the rest of the people around you either don't care for it or they like it but not as much as you. I had that for Teen Titans but I never had that as a kid for Sailor Moon. I wish that I did because I got made fun of a lot for liking Sailor Moon. Being into the show has made me think about gender roles and expressing individuality. Just the other day I was thinking about raising kids... and at first I thought about making sure that they wouldn't be doing things that would cause them to get made fun of. But then I remembered that if my parents had done the same thing to me, then I would be afraid to express my individuality because I didn't grow up facing the fear of me being the way that I am. Despite being bullied, I never stopped liking Sailor Moon, and I am glad for it. Also, what if preventing the kids to like something unusual actually causes them to make fun of other kids who are expressing their individuality? That's not cool. So the show is changing my worldview a little bit, and is giving me a little something that makes me happy.

I advise you to look at the Christian bronies thread on this forum. Also while I do agree that aggressive Christians (that is a good way of describing them BTW) are likely to be anti-brony, the reality is that most Christians either don't care (they spend time being passionate about more important things) or they just think that it is weird and at worst are concerned that it is a sign of a larger problem. Or the Christians are fans themselves. On topic: while I wish that I could reason with someone who hates bronies enough to want the government to fund their execution, that kind of hate is so totally off the wall that there would just be no way. The most that I would be able to say is, "Seriously? You want to increase taxes to kill people that you don't like? Didn't Hitler arrange for people he didn't like to be killed too?" If that doesn't make him think about what he is saying, there would be nothing else that I could say. It would be one thing if he just said something like, "Bronies are all gay," and he was a good enough friend to talk to about how he has been misinformed, but I think that even then, there comes a point in the conversation where you can tell if someone has closed themselves off from alternative/truthful viewpoints and just wants to be insulting. The Bible even says several times not to try to engage in rational conversation with foolish people because it is a waste of time and energy. I first learned that the hard way...

So what would Twilight be instead? I mean I suppose Equestria could change its government. Twilight could be the president instead of the monarch. But that's boring.

You make a good point. If Lauren wanted Twilight to become Celestia's successor, how would Twilight be able to fully follow in Celestia's footsteps if she didn't embody harmony among the three races? I dunno, Lauren may not have wanted Twilight to originally become an alicorn, but honestly it makes so much sense this way. Sorry Lauren fanboys, I think the woman has come up with great ideas, but I think that the direction that the current writers are taking is good.
