I really like the song "Haze" but that's probably mostly because it features the vocalist of Avenged Sevenfold and I'm a huge fan of that band.

 

 

I'm going to admit I've never really been a big fan of M. Shadow's vocals in A7x, but I think it works really well here.

 

Alternative isn't nearly as bad of a term as indie is. Indie is an aesthetic, and most of what plebs consider indie rock is usually power pop.

 

 

Well Indie Rock was originally just literal Indie Rock, not a genre, just Rock made by Indie bands. Now it seems to have changed into this loose genre based on a similar sound, whatever that sound is.

Yep.  We all still live in the same small town.  They've been in different bands forever (Dying Upon Sacred Hands, Beyond Loyalty, Thrown Into Chaos, FMK, and now Ocellus) with different configurations.  The dudes I'm friends with are Jordan, Jake Griffith (Griff), Phil, and James.  The singer and drummer are new and I've only met them once or twice.  (Caylin and Pez used to be drummer and singer, but were replaced due to outside issues.)  We're all old high school/football/drinkin' buddies since... Shit, 2000?
