Do you know bronies in real life?

It gets somewhat frustrating to me when i can't really talk about the show, let alone the fandom, with other people. Most of the people don't even know what MLP:FiM is where i'm from. Gets kind of boring (and even a bit lonely) having no bronies around me in real life.

 

Does anyone feel the same way? Do you have any bronies close to you in real life?

I know other fans in "real life"; not sure if I would say they are "close" but I consider them to be friends. I'm sorry it's not common where you live but it is fairly common where I have lived.

Yes, some do live near me. We used to go and watch the new episodes together as a group. One of them might be going to BronyCon so I may see him there.

My two daughters, Brother-in-law, my wife's fiend and her husband. My kids have a few friends who are also Bronies, so they know a few in their personal circle of friends.

 

Old friends I follow on twitter and Facebook are too . .. but considering I haven't seen them in ages I'm not counting them.

I know a grand total of two. Due to the fact that I don't get out much, I can't really say how many are in this area. One who knows OF the show and doesn't really hate it is my sister's husband. There's also a guy I met here on the forums who moved in with me. I don't mind if I don't know any in real life though, as there are other interests I'd rather share with people. (Like video games)

I've had a few friends in college who are bronies, but they are closeted bronies, while I'm the only one who's open about it. It's really sad for me because I can't express my interest in ponies in a matter where I can be open about it. I lost touch with those bronies though, so technically at the moment I don't know anyone irl who is a brony. It's sad.

Sorry for the rude language, but long story short, some of them are heterophobics, another purposely dresses like she works at a strip club, and the rest are just random like Pinkie Pie (literally, one of them cosplayed as Pinkie Pie fro some anime convention)

 

Some of them I can tolerate and are aquatences with (including the Pinkie Pie fanatic), but the rest just make me be as far away from them as possible.

There are bronies in my area, I see posts on craigslist or rainbodash network and such but whenever there's a meetup suggested not a single soul shows up. I wonder if they are afraid to acknowledge their interest in public
