What kinds of people (do you think who) HATE it if you destroy cliches?

I was inspired by the drama the bronies had made on the Internet, and then teenage girls' obsession with high school dramas (and their sloppy plotlines), when I did this.

I see where you're going with this. The fact that EqG was set in a stereotypical and cliched environment contributes to Hasbro trying to attract more of the targeted audience.

But the main focus of this topic is:

"What people hate it if you destroy cliches?"

I don't think anyone actually hates it, maybe they feel uncomfortable with the character, or don't understand the plot; but  it is weird when someone complains because there's no cliches, in fact the opposite is more common.

But of course, it depends, when we talk about high school dramas it probably will contain cliches and some people like it or don't really mind, but not to the point of hate when those cliches are destroyed...

It's just my point of view, though.
