Rarity was barely straining yet they had to call in three of the princesses to fix her mess. It's not that far out to say she's as powerful as Discord with the book. That being said, I think that Rarity would be restrained since she doesn't have much experience with magic as a weapon, while Discord does. Discord takes her down, drags her to Celestia, they have some sappy friendship lesson, and everything goes as normal

When you really think about it, that Dark Magic had a HUGE weakness. Someone just needed to basically say ... "Rarity No!" ... and poof no more evil.

Not really, it was more of a thing Spike had to do, kind of like with Applebloom and the Cutie Pox

It won't. I think her drive for improving everything would easily outlive her.

Nevermind that though. I'm more concerned about Spike making a poor judgment swallowing the Inspiration Manifestation whole. I know dragons are magic resistant and all, but I can't help but think there may be long term damage and consequences to him swallowing some very potent dark magic.
