Just wanted to ask you two if - since you are having a load of posts going between you and my schedule of only having time once a day can't keep up much - you'd think it was better if I left you two to it? You have some great interactions going, so I am certain that you could do well with a duo there, and you wouldn't have to more or less ignore/overlook Florence and her replies to things said (looking at it) several minutes before.

 

I'll keep going with you if you prefer for sure, and I'll be there to give advise or help if you need to get into the stories of some of the other teams going thus far, but just thinking I'd give the offer so I didn't end up slowing your rise down.

Not currenty if you think you want to be part of the story with the Forgotten One, but it IS possible if you are willing to be in another story than that, or we put you as having been there the day before. Depends if you want to be part of that story if you have to take into consideration what is going on now, or work with another angle, which means that for your character, what's going on there never happened.

It's a good post mate, and it's awesome to see your post again. I hope that even if things have been rantworthy as you put it recently, that you are at least at good health and that things are looking up, because you're awesome.

Hey there. And thank you for waiting to post, since I really prefer if people ask before just making a post as it makes it easier to plan what to do with them.

 

To start with, you don't need to wait for the plot to end no. I allow for everyone to have their own stories here, and while there is the main plot going on right now a little by little, you don't need to be connected to it, or you could be in town the day before it happened if you want to eventually be part of that timeline and events.Plenty of options. I dont want to restrict new players ability to enter the thread by telling them they needed to know everything about the current plot, wait for stuff to conclude etc.

 

To start off with though, might you be able to tell me more about your OC? It's a good start to things, and I do need some basics covered, such as name, age, a small story (no need for a graphic novel if it is, just a few outlines of some important bits to his story will do if you prefer that) and the most important: A physical description. This one will help to envision how your OC looks, and help others playing with you in turn. ^^

 

As a tip, if you don't think you can draw it (in case another did your profile pic for example) you can try to google ponymaker programs if you prefer a picture. Some of them have some good options that can really help. I tend to use the fabulous one, halloween edition, but whatever works.

 

Oh! Also, if your pony knows magic, it's really important that I know what sort. Trying to keep this less of a Superman showoff thing, so just have to be sure on what's being dealt with.

I wouldn't mind to join in on whatever is going on already if someone wouldn't mind to summarize what I will need to know first.

 

Okay my OC is a little complicated, I may need to give a little background to the story first in order to explain him well. 6 rl friends and I are co-authoring a fanfic, this fanfic is centered around the 4 horses of the apocalypse, with 3 extra tacked on the end. But we wanted the story to still work in mlp world so it has NOTHING to do with god like ponies bringing about the end of equestria. Rather we went with a less OP/marysue thing and a more universe appropriate story.

 

But to simplify it, basically he was created in a lab. my OC is War (hence the name) and my avatar is of him

 

He is about 17 years old but was created fully grown so his body is probably in its late 20s. His backstory (which along with his brothers is the first fanfic chapter) in which they are liberated from the unicorn that made them by the princesses. And in chapter two *spoiler alert* they are scent to ponyville to learn the power of friendship, become model citizens and learn to control the strange powers their creator gifted them with.

 

Because they where created, each have powers based off their apocolyptic horse. War bends fire and regenerates but that's the extent of his strange powers. Otherwise he is a pretty normal pony and his abilities are not super powerful as someone might expect of an apocolyptic horse, we wanted to avoid that.

 

He is large and well built, (sadly he is black and red but I needed to base him on the biblical horse which is black and red not to happy since there is a stigma around this. ) his body is red with black stockings and a black muzzle. His hair is black at the roots then turns ash gray in the middle and is red on the ends. His cutie mark is a grey shield with two swords crossing over it. He is a pegusus with large wings to support him in his armor.

Awesome amount of information. Gonna go over a few things, but let me start off by saying you are accepted.

 

Let's start of by me saying that the powers are cool. Regenerating makes perfect sense for a being meant for war (a leg lost here and there? No issue) and bending fire is cool. Adds a good flavour too in case another uses fire and you can bring bring it back down upon them. In theory that is. Besides, also fits war as a concept as raining fire down upon your enemies are used historically for those sorts of grand battles. ^^

 

His creation/background are interesting, that he needs to learn to be more of a model citizen is a nice twist, and his colours are well fitting. Not sure what the bias is against those colours though. I like black and red combo. :3

 

With large I assume you mean a little taller than say... Big Mac? Half a head? A whole head? I have a rather tall character too that sticks above him so not judging, just guessing the scale of his height. Makes it easier to know who can reach his neck for surprise hugs. Mehehehe.

 

A few questions will be raised about the armor, which will make for some good RP interactions, and... That was basically it. I like the whole thing, just wanted to point out why a few places. (Well, that and I got in a *talkative* mode. Happens at times.) Oh and I also like the picture shown in the link. Took me a bit to guess who was famine and who was pestilence, but the grasshoppers finally registered to settle that. War look good there, but - and I mean nothing ill of this, they are all well done - I like the look of Death the most. The ghost faces in the mane and tail is awesome. ^^

 

Anyway, for a recap to things... Well, I think getting into Ponyville in the main story isn't gonna happen easily, and also we are waiting currently for the actions of another that will push it forward, so you might find it a bit stagnant. Still, if you want to be part of the story after the dome of wind breaks up and their main task is done, there are some outside it that can be joined up with while waiting.

 

Or well, there is 1. Those are Cyan and her brother Golden played by @@Wolves, along with my character Happy. They are currently sheltered in a for now abandoned house near the winds, waiting for it to be over with, and are just talking. Not much is needed to know there, though since another player is part of this, we will need their permission to have you join up as well. I won't force company on anyone they might not want in the situation.

 

Beyond that, we can also have some interactions ourselves if you prefer. I think I still have some OC's to use (and if not, NPC's that might become OC's further down the road) and then wait for it to be done with, so we can get into Ponyville. I can update you on things in detail when we get close enough, but for now let's just cover it with *Ancient evil is in town, old, powerful beings are fighting it along with a few odds and ends. The dome is there to keep the citizens trapped so the evil won't look elsewhere for victims* The victims are just ones being forgotten and tossed into a middle realm of sorts. A sort of layer upon the normal one.

 

I hope to interact some with you with one in there at some point really. Zhu, which is the one who have set up the dome, would be interested in your character for sure, so I hope things will work out alright, though this is future talk. For now, let us talk options if you want it to be a one on one whilst waiting.

 

The classic is to go to the Everfree and rummage around there for a while. Big forest with strange things right at town is an easy target, and you can make up all sorts of weird areas in there to fit a setting in. Could be we just ran into one another out there, but I'd love your input on how you'd prefer to let it happen if this is chosen.

 

There are other options, like a neighbouring town, another edge of Ponyville (not all of it that is domed in. Just a large section) the Apple farm, stuff like that. I can roll with most things depending on what you'd prefer.

 

Oh, Oh!!! I forgot, there Is another group connected to the main plot going on right now. In the dream world, a bat pony called Crescent played by @@cwhip9, and my... how do I say this... Mutated cat the size of a regular pony, Zinthar (wow, that still sounded strange) are wandering around, waiting for the ancient one to be defeated. Crescent is one of the forgotten ones (a victim) and Zinthar is just trapped there. They can't get out until the being is defeated and they have been left alone in the halls for now, so they can go visit dreams. Perhaps the dream of War, if you'd think it interesting.

 

Zinthar have some things going for him that might interest War actually, so there's that. Also, when the being is defeated, you can have the *I slept through What?!* before jumping into things. ^^

 

Anyway, time for me to tone down the typing and ask what your thoughts are on things thus far? Any idea on how you want to approach, if you wish to do so for the big plot? I lined out some options, but you might have others yourselves, and we can see if that can work, though likely it will.

 

So, what're we gonna do? :3

Regarding his height I would place him around as tall as Mac but he isn't shaped the same. His body is still very common male pony like only more defined.

 

Well if my understanding of the situation is correct, maybe I could get involved with the first group by having him arrive outside of ponyville and find out he can't get in due to the dome. So he needs to take shelter and happens to stumble on those in the cabin. If your friend is okay with that of course.

 

Or I could do the dream one but I will have to come up with what War dreams about. huh never though about that before. But question where would his body be? Is like the residence of ponyville evacuated or put to sleep till it ends? I just need to know where I would go after that.

Yeah they have a place to say, was just making sure they didn't evacuate ponyville or if it was a safe place to be. And while I wait for wolves to respond to you I will try to figure out what he would dream about. Honestly you may not be far off he isn't exactly like what people imagine when they think of War of the apocalypse.

Those trapped had no idea that it was happening before it was too late, and the winds are meant to seal in ponies, not to destroy houses. The properties are safe, but there's no way out until this is done. Not an easy one anyway. Also, nothing is reaching into the houses right now, so it's fine. ^^
