Species: Earth pony 

Age: 8 in human years 

Appearance: Average schoolfilly size, very light pink fur (appears white), bright pink mane and tail. Her tail is long and flowing, as is her mane which hangs past her neck with messy, but straight bangs. Her eyes are wide and a light pink

Cutie mark: Blankflank

Personality: Pastel is an energetic, simple minded filly with an unhealthy love of adventure. A free spirit, she tends to go off on her own and do as she pleases, which more often than not includes trying to imitate stories she's read about and seen in plays, often getting herself in trouble in the process. She tends to have exaggerated, over the top mannerisms akin to that of a cartoon or anime protagonist, and snarky side if the situation calls for it. Above all, Pastel loves fun and lives to have a good time. 

Talents: Pastel has a natural singing voice, and she will showcase this if given an audience and or a microphone. She also has a knack for getting herself in, and out of trouble.

Looks perfectly fine to me, even without backstory, as her personality does tell quite a few things. Such as what she tends to do in her free time, a musical talent, and a potential infatuation with literature at least on occasion, 

Backstory at this point would mostly just be where she were and a bit on her family to cover a few things, but I think in this case, it might flow better by being something that just comes up naturally in the RP. I don't really have an issue popping an APPROVED stamp on this.

And what fortune, I think I know just the char to team her up with. Meet Jelly Drop

Batpony/pegasus filly, taking mainly from her bat pony father, and her pet spider Greg. 10 years old and just moved to Ponyville to live with her dad.

After a recent monster attack, the school were closed for renovations, but are about to open again in the RP, and Jelly is just about ready for her first day in a new school. Which would provide a good setting for the two to meet.

Jelly likes helping anyone who needs it, and have a natural affinity for protecting others, as both her parents are Night Guards, and she have grown up with their values (as well as some combat training taught by her father, much to her mothers dismay) so another filly who's out looking for trouble and adventure? Jelly would be drawn to it like a magnet, seeking both to protect and take part in something fun.

For the record, the glasses are tinted to protect her eyes from the worst of the sunlight. Her eyes are sensitive, as is the case with some bat ponies, as they are naturally nocturnal.

Anyway, my thoughts on this. If you have feedback of any kind to this, or questions, feel free to ask them.

@Blitz Boom Ohh, very cool! A bat pony too! I don't see many of those. This will work out well I think. Pastel will be super interested in her. I think this a story that can pretty much write itself; no questions really except how to start this :3

I think the most obvious would be at school. We just start during the school day, and take it from there. I can think of a few scenarios myself, with one including the cafeteria and Jelly managing to get a bit of attention for standing up to someone (she doesn't cover before bullies), but I am flexible, and can make her enter or begin at any point, so it's mostly down to what you'd prefer I'd say.

So do tell, are there anything in particular you'd like for the opening scenario? Also, would you prefer to start, or should I?

Fair warning, I post every second day, as to have time for other things in real life too (and to not burn out. The breather helps) with the next day set for Sunday. However, as I am visiting family, it might be pushed to Tuesday as Sunday might be hectic. Just so you're not wondering why I haven't posted anything after we settle on where to go.

I'll respond to things again later here. It's time for me to rest, but I'll return in due time to cover more ground. Looking forward to how this might go.

@Blitz Boom I didn't have any particular scenario in mind, I could try to come up with something if you wanted me to, but if you've got stuff in mind then I say go for it! I'm the rusty one after all. Starting second is easier for me, I've never been good at starts ^-^; last time I wrote a story I ended up mirroring a game, nyaha.

And don't worry about the pacing! I tend to only be online early mornings and at night, so take as long as you need, I'm patient

 So, ah, not to judge or anything Dear @Blitz Boom. I am aware that you've stated before that you have more of a background in more combative environments of roleplay where such things are far more likely. It explains a lot of capability in combat or past experiences...

 But when your Chief of Police also has a criminal history, Ees a bit much! Lol!

 You are capable of writing a character that hasn't mugged somepony at some point, right? I kid! Lol! I think you got a bit of Edginess that kinda creeps in from time to time, lol! Like, I find it funny how often Happy Hour seems to come back around to "Oh, by the way, Have I mentioned I used to be human?"

 But no matter! I can get trying to get across the right spirit of the character you're trying to portray!

  ...so, like with Sunny Flush... heh! I figure she's twice the height and width of your average mare, like the Main Six as base example. And workhorse-frame like Big Mac would be two-thirds her size. So pretty much feel that she fills up most city streets she walks in. Kinda felt like maybe I mislead you a bit while intentionally being grandiose.

  Would I be remiss in trying to loop in @Pastel-chan to my overarching plot too? If she fits the "adventurous filly" type, I can see you and her going off into the Everfree as a test of courage and I got another brother stuck deep in the woods there too that would play well against that being a more cowardly stallion. Slimpsy's cowardly dashing doesn't lend itself to finding his way out of the woods so much as richocheting off trees and getting further lost. Could be a neat adventure to get him to focus long enough to actually get out of the forest and find his family!

 

  Though that being said.... Sorry if I'ce been short with replies or unreliable. Been having a real bad Cold this past week and taking a lot of time off work. I may not meet the next time posts go up, but I'll try, heeheh!

Been part of Stargazer's bio since the beginning mate. An orphanage foal who never got adopted for long, and felt abandoned, lashing out against society, until all his pety crimes (mostly just vandalism and nicking a few minor stuff. Nothing serious) eventually landed him in a cell. One of the Night Guard officers at the time saw less of a criminal, and more of a young stallion needing discipline and a goal in life, and gave him a choice to join the guards, or stay in prison for a while.

Stargazer haven't been a criminal in any capacity for over twenty years now, but I think it fun to include a snippet of his pre-guard days once in a while to have a but of fun.

And I have several characters who never mugged anyone, I'll have you know. Briar, Brittle, Jelly, Blitz, Scarcity (she have people for that), Brute, Sugar, etc. I have too many chars to remember them all right now, heh.

As for Happy, I don't think I overplay the human part, just adding some things and references that sometimes requure a bit of talking about. Though of course, gonna be a bit more on it when he's not in disguise, as he stands out like a sore thumb then. He totally mugged folks before though, if that helps.

And y'know, Sunny situation dealt with fine, we're good. Still gonna implore you to not wreck the town though. We just got it fixed up, and it's all nice and... Non-wasteland'ish.

As for the forest idea and finding another of your family of weirdos, that sounds fine to me. The Everfree Forest would be the closest place where one could have an adventure in Ponyville, and it might be interesting to find someone totally lost, and potentially in danger. @Pastel-chan had just the right sort of character for getting folks out of trouble after all.

Though of course, gonna depend on whatever or not this new RP'er of ours is fine with the idea. What say you, @Pastel-chan?

 I am inclined to think Collateral Damage counts as a crime.

And in that regard, I’m no saint myself! 
Speaking of which, I intend to explode at LEAST one building. It’s written into the spell that gave them the horse bodies that when all six are in close proximity they are forced, against their will, to recombine into their natural hydra form. That form is, of course, around thirty feet tall. Most buildings cannot accommodate the sudden presence of a being like that.
When Blither asks for help, he implies that to mean all six knowing where the rest are. Not being confined together in the same cell due to rightful imprisonment; that would cause Sudden Mass Reaccumulation. 
 And, the cherry on top here is, this hydra has social issues with trusting ponies. All of them want to have friends... its just hard to do that when you out-eat entire towns regularly and can rip a wall of a building as easily as opening a door. 
 Sunny sees ponies as friends & toys.

 Monolith sees ponies as subjects of study.

 Blither sees ponies as superiors.

 Slimpsy sees ponies as danger.

 Shortstack sees ponies as competition.

 Flit sees ponies as opportunities.
Solumn sees ponies as FOOD. 
 

 ... Wait. Solumn isn’t part of continuity yet. Ignore that last part. Ignore the Edgelord!!!

Alright, A building ain't that bad, and there's a few there that have seen better days, or are harsly lived in. Try to destroy the house Stargazer and Jelly lives in if you want some fun. Neither came to Ponyville with much personal stuff, and Stargazer is getting used to Ponyville just making his time there a real trying experience. Plus, the station/home he were trying to work with isn't all that good. Last minute alternative that wee meant to be replaced in the long run.

Don't eat the foals!

Stay out of this.

Anyway... A bit of destruction is fine enough, just no mass scale devastation at least. Please? Or... Actually, nevermind, I know how to fix it quickly if there's things ruined. Just try not to let the streets flow red.

We really like the word "demolish", don't we? You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

 I like that idea that came up of throwing them all in a cell earlier, @Blitz Boom. I've designed each head to be an unpredictable, cartoonish personality element in and of themselves. Sunny & Shortstack don't care much for the effects of Recombining as that's all Blither's "Magicky Hoohah." Flit mostly doesn't care about most things. So if the other three happen to already been in a room and just one of those happen to charge in with reckless abandon...

 See, that's what I'm aiming for. To get my Hydrasona in the middle of town ranting about how its all coming to a head yet again. That they're stuck in a town too small for them to move in without crashing a wall down, that they're going to take the blame again, get a mob or beastslayer adventurer to cut them down again, and they'll have to flee back into the Wilds yet again. And no head, stuck in their own obscured, catastrophic thinking & personality, will listen to any one pony's reassurance or even each other until they're fully subdued.

 S'like, symbolic, Yo.

...Did you have to throw the "Get Your Game On!" hand signal?

 I assume this process will be accomplished by knocking my heads together until simultaneous unconsciousness happens. Or talking down, that's the fun of it! Leaving the situation to each player when we get there! Have each player pick the head they've had the most interaction with to try and calm down from bickering with the rest of the hydra. 

 It also helps that I have this mental image that a hydra head is the perfect size for a pony to ride right on top of its forehead. It's just too adorable to resist!

As said, just go ahead and smash up some buildings, just don't have anyone killed. I have a plan to get it all sorted again, and that will include you someone to eat, as you mentioned one of them seeing ponies as food. Don't worry, I got... Plans.

And I'll work on getting them into the police station for a start, then take it from there. I can see one already who'll be brought in on assault charges, so that one's easy.  Just need to knock him out. Might be time for Stargazer's special move: Using a medal on his belt with a loose pin as a sort of hard thrown rock.

The last interaction Ruby had gave me an idea for her character. What if she falls in love with someone? 

Now, it won't be love as we usually see it, and will be more tied to her greed than love usually is, but still. She of course would't admit it that easily, in fact, she wouldn't necessarily even realize it herself at first. 

The reason why the last interaction was the one that gave me that idea, is because I like the idea of her falling for smaller female dragon. 

What's your opinion?

Then my question is do you have any ideas? I haven't really thought when and where it would first happen, all I know for now is that there would need to be a reason for Ruby to interact with the "target" more than once. And also, would it be a character played by your or by me? That affects how it would develop since I don't like to talk to myself so to speak (meaning that if it is my character, it would happen more in the background.)

That works.
Something similar to Ruby herself but more friendly (but sassy). She would have to agree on big things with her since as you probably have noticed, she isn't really  one to change her mind on things. She also would need to be relatively fearless, but not in arrogant way (I can explain if you don't understand what I mean.) Not really too different from what Snuzzle was(based on the short interaction), just with the knowledge that Ruby is what she is.

Does that make sense? I'm bit distracted by other things atm so my line of thought isn't perfect.

Even if they were opposing elements, this here were neutral ground. And just lookit that, she were coming over alright. This were gonna be great.

The barkeep poured a cup of the silvery liquid and pushed it towards the newcomer, yet the one in question didn't even give it a slight glance. She just went right past, got up close so that Snuzzle couldn't avoid seeing her, and very slowly - as if she were speaking to a child - would say: "Let me put this in a way that even your dulled mind should get: I am an adult -"

She'd then push the drink back towards the barkeep with the tip of her webbed claw, whilst not breaking eye contact for as much as a blink.

"- I don't need a bottle."

With that, she'd turn and ignore Snuzzle from that point forth, having made her point clear about thinking that this drink of hers were something that only a child who couldn't control themselves when they had to, were going to need.

Something along the lines yes, that would get Ruby's attention enough for her to acknowledge it, but the wording is such that she sounds like arrogant school bully, so though that would be a good first introduction example, wording could be a bit different. (it may be the use of  words child and adult that give me that feeling, because saying "I'm more adult than you" feels childish.)

i don't really know how to word it, but for reference, in same situation, ruby would probably say something like "I don't care for such things." and if she would feel the need to mention her superiority, it would be something like "Drinking is for weak minded."  It of course is good she's different to Ruby, as it would be quite boring just have a clone of her, but school-bully talk doesn't really fit. 

 

One way to say it I think is, less like a school-bully and more like a rich guy talking to peasants style.

With that - and a brief look of worry towards the unfazed wind dragon - the newcomer would turn around and scout out the room to see what were to be dealt with tonight. Whilst she had love for her own kind, and worried when she saw them do things like this, these lesser races were but prey, and she needed to seek out the one lacking behind, easy to snatch away.

Not to feast on them of course. She were a dragon of the Dragon Isle's after all, and their laws strictly forbade eating ponies. No, her target were more towards valuables, though raw coin were rarely her tender of choice. No, she preferred personal items, so that she might feel she took something important, that they should feel ashamed to lose. What was a few bits to one of these? Nothing. But a ring, lost because they thought of straying from the path, or gamble a symbol of some significance away? Now, that held a value beyond mere bits, and she reveled in knowing her collection had a touch of personality to it.

Tried another angle here. She hunts for things too, have an attitude and a point in being a bit blunt, but are less of a bully, and are actually worried about Snuzzle, as she sees this mind dulling the barkeep takes part in as toning herself down for the sake of fitting in among others, which their kind shouldn't be doing.

Something like this is better?

Already better, and i actually like the idea of her having compassion towards her own kind, since that's the one thing that Ruby have not had during her life, so someone actually caring about her could have interesting results, sure she will find that pathetic at first, but that's where the bluntness comes in as I take it she wouldn't back away too easily, and her not caring about "lesser being" is of course a plus. (the compassion also gives a realistic reason why she would tolerate Ruby at all  )

Also, since she collects personal items and Ruby is after shinies, the competition won't come into way either. 

i'd say that works  

 

Only question left is how Ruby would be revealed to her, would she just figure it out like Marley did, or would it be something else? (this of course doesn't need to happen right away and can take place later so if there's no ideas for it right now, that's not a problem.)

edit- one potential would be if she tried to take something from Ruby or otherwise angered her enough to for Ruby to show her eyes. (could happens since she would think she's just a pony)

Was gonna say too, forgot if I done brought this up already, but @Catpone Cerberus?

 I notice you say alot of picking and choosing what to respond to with my draconequus. Have to wonder if I'm losing you in my being overly descriptive and shtick-y. Like, there's alot there that's conversational fluff, but still tied to what's going on. Because that's the thing, both me, and the character i'm playing are both overacting and I have to worry if I'm losing you? Haven't caught up on responses yet, but we been goading you into a hunt for finding some Parasprites!

 That's another thing too I worry about, I'm rather long-winded & wordy and that's also a habit of my characters too in a way I use to parody myself. So I dunno if alot of my words work if i'm rping with somebeing who isn't a native english speaker. Think @Blitz Boom has english second too? I been too wordy to either of you?

 

 Oh, and still waiting on @Pinkfire who hasn't been around in a while since work troubles. I hope she's doing okay! Getting worried there too!

I'd say the main problem for me is that though your replies have lot of words, there isn't any hooks. I'm reactive player, as in, I react to things in my responses, so if your post it just things that can't be commented on without it feeling forced, I have hard time coming up with a response.

You'll see this with my responses in my other RPs too, sometimes the other poster makes a quite a long post, and I respond with something that barely goes over the character limit, because most of the response is something that either my character is already commented on, and doesn't wish to repeat themselves, or something that I really can't react to other than maybe acknowledge it (this is best visible with how often I write something like "X nodded to Y's points on these things, and only responded to this "response"") (Also the times when I write "decided not to comment" or something similar, are moments when I just can't come up with a fitting response that would feel natural.)

The language thing mostly affects certain words for me, I understand English quite well, but I have trouble remembering even simple words, though that is only a problem if I can't find the meaning of word with quick google search.
