  Ooh! A Nightmare on Elm Street reference...?  Don't you dare! ...mostly because I can't reference something I've never dared watch... That's not stopped me before! We TOTALLY got the sweater-shirt for that too!

So, ah... Dear @~Phoenix~ & @Blitz Boom: I somewhat raise issue to what you've done right there then.

  I do consider myself somewhat of a stickler for such things as continuity & story logistics, that I may call it. It's sort of one mild worry I've had with Anomaly, and by extension, Widdershins as well. Focus too much on "random" powers and the character becomes more liability then character. A story falls apart at the seams if you allow any one character to just immediately shift the tone from page to page; unless, of course your aiming for a character to be so abrasive as to instantly cause so much unease in everypony he meets to the point where Friendship relations become strained. I kind of feel that tone and narrative flow was really interrupt- YEAH! THAT'S MY JOB!

  ...What did I say about popping up when I'm talking about narrative flow? That your an obsessive shut-in who doesn't like change enough to allow others to have the same kind of fun you allow yourself, thereby making yourself feel superior?    .... No, I.... *glare*... Sigh...

  *Author picks up a squeaky toy, squeezes it once while shaking it before tossing it off panel*

  Kweeee! Mr.Ducky!!!   Go! Go get it, boy!           *Widdershins bounds off panel after it, body waggling behind it like a streamer*

   ...You should really try that sometime with Anomaly, B.B. Squeaky toys work wonders for pet mental constructs.  ...Where was I?

   Ah... Well, seen that a few times with Anomaly. That sometimes it'll completely hijack the post for shenanigans to where it seems like her actions cannot be interpreted by whoever she's traveling with, nor likely that it'll ever be brought up. A suggested lack of permanence like that can just get confusing. Lead a reader to wonder why it was brought up at all. Admittedly, I do that too. But, while I probably haven't touched on the notion; I like to think that whatever dialog Widdershins has with me can still be heard by anypony anywhere near him, just only his half of it, leading into the reputation as either otherworldly... or just dangerously insane. That's what I first did when Widdershins first showed up. Mislead the "audience" with him spouting off other short stories and narratives, before cutting to what was literally going on; him just idly lounging in public while talking outloud about all that.

  What I call issue with, is that Phoenix kinda just burst into the scene. Mind you, don't think I ever vocalized this, but had it pictured that Foxy's group had gone inside & upstairs to Rarity's workroom, then were ushered over a few rooms, still upstairs, to sit in their own room to drink tea & cucumber sandwiches & talk. Which, would mean that they wouldn't be immediatly encountered by anypony who barged in. Namely, that first room of the Boutique being basically a salesfloor any salesmare would keep clear for new customers. 

  You kind of opened with implying the practice from the OOC actually happened, when Rarity was already involved in something prior in the direct thread. But that's okay, Phoenix, I'm not criticizing that point, I can more then work with that. Just tone is important and that's kind of throwing me a curveball that potentially makes you more creative then me & I'm too stubborn to admit that. (Get back to your squeaky toy! *honk, honk!*) But that tonal shift kind of took another blow when Anomaly came in with a legitimately scary prelude (yeh, I know, it was Halloween...) to sidetrack an already sidetracked prelude. That kind of leaves a third party, like @Foxy Socks to grasp at straws at what she is or isn't supposed to respond to. 

   Think what I'll do, is have Rarity get to work, have Anomaly pull whatever prank she wishes, then potentially have "Raininator" Dash meet up after the proverbial dust has cleared for both of their Scenarios, Foxy's comission finished then call it after that. In summary, while I revel in confusion, it still does have to be finely tuned so the audience isn't lost. While I'm sure open-ended scenarios are probably best for roleplay, coherenc- WHY won't ANYBEING think about the AUDIENCE!??! NARRATIVE FLOW! NARRATIVE FLOW! Proper methods for everything! I'm the best writer! The writer is me! Me, me, me!   ...I have a hard time telling if that's mocking sarcasm out of you or just more of the self-grandstanding I wrote into your character...   *FLING!*

 Sos a scootchy bit of whoopty-doo there, but I cracked corn & don't care. We'll probably cover the responses tomorrow evein' if I can drag his flabby flank in front of the computor after we get done with all the "real-life" job huntin stressors blabbitygook. Anyhow!

  Heya, Blitz Bomberman? Oh, and the Phoenix Feller-Filly to boot, I suppose.    ...Do keep me posted if OrangeHorse & SuaveHatHorse ever start kissing. I have a sort of... "Mental Image" I want to but in with. I do so love ruining moments!   I has this sorta self-headcannon that I still am the places I once were. A sort half-explained-away afterimages theory of a sort.

  You're not allowed to write your own character! That's my job! ...and don't abuse poor Bul'dar like that again! Meanie!

i will make sure to let you know about a week AFTER. that way we can at least enjoy ourselves first.

It wasn't my first idea to have the spooky stuff happen, but I have to try an accomedate people. And with Phoenix already having placed RD there, I had to do something to keep the flow going. This was the best I could come up with without interrupting the calm tone that were set woth the characters normally. It may have gotten a bit more... Halloweeny than should have been, but as mentioned, it was a spur of the moment thinf.

As for what you're saying about Anomaly, I'm not sure I understand. Might be my brain is just a bit scrambled at the moment from work issues, but it seems to be something about consistency issues?

If you can PM me specifics, we can have a look at it, and I can work on it if it doesn't seem to make sense. I take criticism if it gets pointed out and I can't realistically defend it.

I just fogured thay with how we discussed her at conception. And a few times afterwards, she were supposed to be a theatrical sorts. Setting scenes, changing herself, making a show out of everything. Means she's inclined to do things such as this, but isn't capeable to do things like immitate real chaos, like with what Widdershins make. The weird pancake battle, his room, the molass flood- All of it to me at least, showed your inclination yo real chaos, whilst she just tried to make a stage out of things.

... and eat Breezies, but that's not important.

Though as I said, I can take critique and adjust accordingly. If you can please PM me a few more direct instances of issues, we can get this sorted and hopefully make things good for you too my friend.

If one of them is how Anomaly tends to warp where she's in, you may understand now why I move her away or have her hid enow and again, ratger than be front and center. It's a great help when I'm stuck and need to do something like send somepony away - hey, perhaps she send Dashie away to another room instead of a phase, which is where weird things now happen? Empty basement in the inn for example - or make things odd. I frankly enjoy stability too much to overuse her, but with the Foxy story line she have gotten involved thus far, and does need to pop in now and again.

(Between me and you, I'm thinking the spider ponies will turn out to be plastic with little mics in them in the next post, and she get's out of wherever it is. A short distraction before going back to te main event, but don't tell Phoenix. Very hush hush plans)

Anyway. As always, I value your insight, and I hope to have a good dialogue going with you if I understand right and there is a consitency issue. Drop the sweater though, Mr. Englund.  Hehe.

Oh, and I will poke you when the kiss happens. I love to see moments ruined.

  Well, odd corner I've painted myself into. I don't know what to do with Kaltrop anymore. Kind of feels like Dawn still has to do some stuff more before I can take my turn again. There's only so many times I can retread the same ground of him exclaiming that he's being unjustly accused. And to boot, as I said @dragon4111 , don't know what to do about that Call of yours either.

  We are still aiming for the Element of Cruelty what with Lloyd's storyline, right?

Didn't have time tonight for Widder's part, but that's alright. Between them, I'm playing Ambie up as a more down-to-earth, slice-of-life, and moreover, sane character to get the hang of roleplaying with. He is, after all, rather more a ponysona.

 

  Oh, and wanted to ask, @~Phoenix~ . What did she/ faint from in that last post? Just general anxiety from being left alone for a moment? Kind of worried about them heading to Smokey's "Place."

   That kind of seems to be a trend, eh? Everybeing's first roleplay characters tend to be kind of overly humble and kind of self-depreciating, if not oafish.

@Widdershins well, i believe she's simply very overwhelmed and out of her element at the moment. she's typically very reclusive, and up until that very moment she'd only ever had to deal with one or two beings at a time. all of a sudden, she's thrust onto a busy train station platform where she's bumping shoulders with dozens of ponies she's unfamiliar with, and i think you have a recipe for disaster. more specifically, somepony having an anxiety attack and fainting. 

let's keep in mind, that it's in her instinct to NOT be in that kind of situation. hence why she normally wears cloaks when she does go into town once on a blue moon, and a very small town market at that. 

 

it's most definitely something that's going to overwhelm somepony.

Basically, I think that he can sense the elements, but only if they are out of the protection set up for them. In the temples, shrines, etc. that they are originally housed in, it would be warded against that, and in the case of Scorn's bag, it have been as well. However, things such as the one brought to Canterlot that he found he can sense when close enough, as it had been removed from those kinds of things. We may well have some elements that were removed by looters or adventurers and stashed somewhere, as an example.

You can use Kaltrops to speak with one of the others if it is. Spicy is still there, and since he have called out for her before, it seems like he might consider her a point of stability on some level. With everything going on around them, he might in his own way try to get her to focus on him, so he'd be more at ease. Just an idea of course.

I thinkt he element thing is still goinna happen, yes. Though to be on the safe side, let's bring in the man and ask him

And Widders, to be fair, having a boastful one as your first char tends to make people wanna play with you less. The more self-deprecating, shy, and/or doofus chars however, tends to be welcomed more. It's a good start to things. Granted, I began with a crazy filly who makes explosives, but this isn't my first rodeo.

And Dji, if Kaltrops didn't complain, I think it would ruin his character somewhat. Whiny seems to be his defined character trait. hehe.

Well, they might be, depending on the speeds she is going on. She is technically in another phase (had wanted another room, but with the silk going away, that idea had to be scrapped to keep things going) and can't interact with ponies, but I never did specify items. Could be that some items aren't fully integrated, and instead is at points where you could theoretically pass through the *scenes*. Sloppy work by Anomaly, but I have some idea as to why it's like that.

Also, I believe what @Widdershins is suggesting is a certain pony's cat. Only canonical animal I know off that would be there, though it remains to be seen of course.

(And yes, I approve of this too Widders. Go for it)

Cause that's kind of what I was aiming for.

 You can be a quarter-ton, fire-breathing (though really, I have him with Spike's magic breath, which is probably weaker then actual fire breath, but none less destructive.) reptile... but that doesn't mean you still don't have emotional turmoil to deal with!
