Oh hey, @MiragetheChangeling? I ought say that you needn't have to end your sentences all the time with Asterisks to show what your characters are doing/thinking. Sure, that does make sense in short postings like in status updates, but think of it here like telling a story. Third-person or what have you. A good rule of thumb, I'd say is to use as much words as possible. Don't be afraid to go into detail about how your character is responding, their intonation and even what side of the pony they're talking to they're on or how their body language might be. Find as many synonyms of saying "They Said" as possible!

 

   Oh and, I would say its up to @Foxy Socks and Briar to reinvite RD and Rarity to the conversation their having. By rights, I figure Rarity can't finish Foxy's project right now with the condition her workroom is in, and Dash just popped in to see what's up so Foxpone and Bushhorse would be on their way back to the campsite now and perhaps I'll have Rarity send the finished project back to her by courier once I do some research into how best to describe a bejeweled, fox-like, fox-snuggy costume!

Sorry I've not been around everybody. Stuff going on in my life. Like hunting down a job, keeping food in the house, making stuff for stuff, preparing for the holidays... making sure I have a future... just, you know. Stress. Begrudge me spending my days instead on the video games. I'll try not to though, get on this tomorrow morn, eh what?

   That, and the power has been off for part of today.

Reminds me actually, could you be a dear and try to put a bit more into the posts as time goes on mate? It helps to give me things to respond with. ^^

As a tip, I find inner dialogue fills out the posts nicely. Reactions too.

Oh, and as I suggested Mirage some time ago, I think you might do well in sectioning things a little, or at least make the parts where Applejack speaks in color? It's a little hard right now to see what's talking and what might be thoughts.

To quote what Lloyd have written, as a good example of a middle ground:

"Well it was a dragon, named Zhu." He said, stating the name to see if these guards knew the dragon, although his look did give away the reason he said the name. "And since I took them in, they won't be a problem for now."

The color helps differentiating things. ^^

I’m going to be honest, that might be my last post until after the holidays.  For now, Charlie will be unresponsive, so you can have your characters try to talk to them, but Charlie will basically just be like a magic stick in the mud, no response to the world around them.

 

I know, I’m so exhausted from holiday retail work that even my jokes are suffering, but if anyone tries to tell me to stop, I’ll tell them their BARKing up the wrong TREE.  

That last one was worse, I think...

I figured that you'd want your secret intact. Why do you think I have Cherish follow them unseen, after she put a piece o f the castle in one of Ziggy's pockets? I figured the situation might arise.

Of course, if you want to fly, you can still do that, and we can try and deal with the aftermath, but if you wish to keep the secret, there have been several hints that the ghost is there. Including her trying to mess with last's sword, and in one of the last posts, speak out without thinking.

Of course, Seamore also gave us an out with his last post, so really: Wanna play Hide-the-Siren?

  Just a point I wanted to bring up, if you caught what I was going for, B.B. I've basically given unto Smokey an earlier version of Widdershins from earlier on in his travels. A bit more civil, measured and apologetic or at least my attempting to wrangle him that way anyway. This is him roughly a thousand or two years younger; a point I hope to make more blatant once he can fully assemble.  But hey, after all, you can kind of expect a bit of mental degradation after being recently wanted for blowing apart the planet of Draenor!
