Alright, so standing alone., We can do that, no problem. And we can try and have her defeat a hero, that tried to pull her off her path. Though are we talking a disposable hero, or would you like him/her around afterwards? Because if its a disposable one, I'll just whip up a quick NPC. If it's someone to keep around, I might go back to using this guy.

He were technically a hero... Ish. He could've been sent to deal with Magloria, since the situation with Magnolia had been taken care of. Long as you don't kill his cats, he should be tolerable enough to hang around, and if they were trapped by her, he'd feel obligated to do as told, since he actually cares about them. Other living beings... It varies.

Seems the rest is about this, so just to make it clear: I encourage others to mingle, but I don't force it. At the heart, this thread is an RP setting, where things happen, that then remains in effect, even if new creatures comes in. In this world (that is the thread) smaller RP's are then taking place. Mostly 1on1's, but at times larger endeavors. That about sums it up. If Starforce wants the thing with her to be for itself, then that'll be how it is. However, if she comes into an area where something have happened (like the desert are in the Everfree Forest happening, or the attacks on Ponyville, or something else), then it will happen within that setting. Doesn't mean one have to meet other players, if they don't want to.

I think you express this quite well! As I recall you have a sort of shamanistic, necromatic character from a long heritage of similar sorts who has a sentient pendant of conglomerated, unrestful souls called Legion... that is frankly quite amicable. So long as its treated right. Just because you're a lost, bound or tortured soul unable to pass on or an undead doesn't mean you have to be hostile or a threat.

 I try to center my characters around that. More... reactive than display... -itory. Like, Whett's "display" might be threatening for sure, its basically an allergy, a show of mental instability that he struggles with. A facial twinge from stress, if you will.

The character you speak of, would be Sorrow. She have a spirit foci around her neck, which various souls can inhabit, and partake in the hivemind of Legion, until they feel ready to move on. That there are so many souls there, is something that helps the ones who agrees to become part of the collective, as those there also have their own reasons, and often are idle to the outside world, whilst having something akin to *internal therapy sessions*, among the souls. There's only one soul within that remains there as a constant, and that is the first spirit, bound to the skull willingly. An ancestor of hers, that are unable to pass on, because they don't think they've rescued enough souls yet.

Won't say how long back it goes, but Sorrow's not the first one whose been carrying that skull. She's also one of the least magical of her family, as most are unicorns.

Also, I am using a few undead, and not all are indeed hostile. That's part of the Harrowish culture, historically. That some will chose undeath, rather than death, and still *live* on afterwards, for some purpose. The currently mad god there, Suusha, had his followers among those who'd choose undeath, while his counterpart offered guaranteed rest from the various ways, one might be stuck after death. Then Twisted came and messed with the scale, so there's gonna be a long time ahead, of them trying to rebalance it, so the dark god can come back to his senses.

And I think Whett is an interest concept for a character., and so far done rather well. From my perspective, he isn't overtly threatening, but he's just stuck with one who have no idea of him, and are already struggling with fitting into Equestrian ways. He's easy to get off balance.

Like the Doctor is basically a wanderer who just doesn't like to see people get hurt and has a soft spot for the human race for their spirit that maybe he never saw in his own alien race. He doesn't have so much of goals as just being a friend to those who wish to travel by his side. As altruistic as they come!

Yeah, logic have little reason to be involved, when it comes to Draconequui, but one still have to make it fit sort of a *basic idea*. That idea, being mostly what they're the spirit of, to some extend.

It's how WIdders functions as you say, or his alternates. There's an idea, but it's maleable, and things could have gone way different. And may still, if circumstances change. I had the same with both of mine, where Anomaly is in a way, a fragment too. Split from most of her dark, destructive side in the past, and grown into her own being, instead of this duality of destruction and creation. Fright follows the same pattern, but to a lesser extend. She is still the draconequui of fear, but she have found a more constructive way to use, and harvest fear. One that doesn't leave her alone and unwanted, and gives her some peace of mind.

They're some pretty weird creatures, and logic ain't their thing. But there's still a framework one can work with, and aspects that makes them fun. If done right.

Well, the one I showed (need to check for his name again. Think it was Operetta Sonata, maybe? Will see later) is barely a hero. He'll weigh in the pros and cons of what she's saying, and perhaps join in on her crusade. partially out of intrigue, and partially to at some point, be able to reel her in, if she goes too far, even for his taste.

As for what her goal is... Well, his goal have always been to chase the ones doing bad, and *reeducating them*. Mostly meaning they *go away for a time* and come back, pretty messed up, and scared in on a better path, under threat of him coming back for them otherwise. Maybe he'd try to entice her to the way of expanding her collection with bad beings, since no one will miss them, and she'll be kind of justified in what she does to them. It's also a lovely way to act out some aggressions.

I did say he was barely a hero. xD He considers screams to be music, and himself, a tenor of pain.

Question really becomes what her motivation would be. What does she want, more than anything? Recognition? Power? Revenge? A sandwich?

Had to go far back, but found it. His name is Operata Symphonia. AKA: The mad tenor. And his cats are called Sonata, and Falsetto.

As for what you wrote... I have a zebra halfling. She's just a doctor though, not a hero, but she could be one they went to look for. Maybe she'd be enticed knowing there were others like her, who actually had made it fine?

Struggling a bit to think of what she'd do, since the only alicorns, are those in the show, and I try not to control those, as I fear messing it up, since I don't watch the show.

Hmm... How would she feel about going after an alicorn I just made up? An unfortunate soul, struck by a surge of magic that's out of his control? eluded to *accidental alicornification* some time before in the RP, which is where it's not filtered right, and most undergoing it goes mad. Otherwise, after being defeated, Operata might ask into what it is that drives her, and as she tells her story, he'll ask her why she didn't get revenge on them then, as they were to blame. Why bother with randoms, since that would never satisfy her anger. They could go and hunt those down, and in the process, she might learn something. Be it about forgiveness, or how revenge won't satisfy that anger she feels. Perhaps then, she'd be willing to listen to suggestions about what else to do? I dunno, spitballing it a bit here.

Just say she's an advanced Hydromancer. She controls water to enough of a degree, that it too can become ice. Ice crystals for instance, of some strength. And if she can make the ice how she wants, she can likely form it to her will too, so ice weapons. Magic ice, so it doesn't just melt in the sun like regular ice.

She would likely not be a good fit, for several reasons. One being that her power is demonic, and if Magloria absorbed that, it would do to her, as it have to Vivid. Meaning that she'd be corrupted physically. Vivid looked like a completely normal pony before she made her pact, and got infused with demonic magic.

She's also by far, my most powerful character. She could crush Magloria with ease, but her contract prevents her from causing physical harm to others, unless given permission by her masters. And those two wouldn't, unless it was a dire circumstance. That also makes it hard for her to partake in Magloria's work I think, since she neither can, nor want, to cause others harm. She tries desperately to fit in to a world she have been apart from for thousands of years, and is having very little success with it.

They would have some common ground, as Vivid struggles with her mental, and emotional state. The more the world at large rejects her, the more she hates it, but she still keeps trying to fit in. Because she still believes in being a pony, more than a demon, even if she is more demon than mare at this point, technically. She would never join in on anything that'd include causing others harm, despite her instabilities sometimes causing her to smash a large area of a forest to bits. When she's not sad and thinking about her long dead foals.

I think she's a bad fit because of this. She cannot be taken in on a bad course, and she will not be defeated easily. Best one could hope for with her, is a standstill of some sort.

Anyway, to get back on track: Her plans wouldn't be against what Operata would like to join in on. He likes to make others suffer. If they deserve it. But he's flexible, and he'd enjoy the excuse *Well, she made me do it. I was afraid she'd kill me otherwise*.

  I could introduce a pair of temporary characters (one of which would be a kobold from This equestria) if you have no specific ideas, it could work as a tool to explore more of kobold lore in a way that isn't as depressing, and could work as character moment too as Sheska and Trox knew her counterpart in their world (and vice versa).

Might be hard to manipulate one that's about 4000 years old, and have a contract that she literally cannot break.  She made sure that it was extremely carefully written, so that she wouldn't have any loopholes.

As for attempts to reform her by Operata, he'll just mention his own deal, that kept him from incarceration, but if she's not interested, he'll shrug it, and tag along, to see what'll happen. He'd find her to be a fascinating study, with a currently unwritten path ahead, as she could swing many ways. And if she then picked a bit of a harsher path, then he'd prefer to be on the good side of somepony really strong, rather than be a popsicle. If they'd get friendly? Hard to tell. Long as she doesn't kill his cats, there's always a chance.

As for unfinished stories, there's a fair bit, aye. A fair bit involving my demonic mare up there, as players came in, started to get well acquainted with her, and then just vanished. Which in the story, is making her feel worse every time, as she tries to connect to others, but then ends up left behind and betrayed. Which really isn't helping her mental state sometimes.

By future I mean the same alternate world where Sheska, Trox and Solar are from, since it's alternate dystopian future (even if technically it's alternate present since it takes place at the same time in relation to the worlds' own timelines)  no new concepts, just hints of new characters.

The prison, or well, part of a prison that Sheska and Trox arrived in, the one in the cave(s) in/under Onache's place.

She was made in and for this thread, yes. She cannot destroy the universe though, nor wants it. That's why she were so careful in ensuring her contract were as tightly written as it were, as it is literally impossible for her to break it, and she wanted to make sure she couldn't accidentally hurt someone. She have her mood swings, but she still wants desperately to be part of this world again, despite how it pushes her back sometimes.

If you want a pop at that, you can try, but even if she can't hurt, she is allowed to detain. If you are deemed a threat, she will retaliate. She may make for a friend that understand issues though, if he have those.  Up to you. And if it is, we need to sort a setting.

As for the dream powers, her dreams is solely of her life before she sold her soul. The door to her room have warning signs, to advise Luna and her chosen to stay away from it, as there is a strange, otherworldly energy emanating from it. Had that covered some years back, when there were a stint in the dream realm. Which ended up also taking an entity out, that had been trapped there for over a thousand years. Forgot about him actually.

As I have written previously, I don't like using those directly, as I don't want to mess up the character, and I don't watch the show. Hence I cannot in good faith, say that I could do them justice. So that's a limitation to consider, if you want to continue this.

 Oh! I have a few undead-related characters too i've written about! (Even if i'm not much of a zombie fan) That could likely fit into your setting too! Like a pretty chill butcher that ran a business for the more predatory species all above-bar legality before he went "mysteriously missing" one day and turned up zombified and none the more aggressive for it. Or a sort of anti-Fluttershy of Red Thread, a shy, pale necromancer who takes care of all the little critters who met unfair ends.

Well, more like... a sort of logic. Interpretation. 

 No one being is ever just one thing. People grow & change and even the same situation or confrontation can be different if the experience was different. Life is fluid with growth as should most Concepts and things.

Like, your village being attacked & burned down could be both a character backstory for someone being withdrawn & shy... or being combative & courageously choosing the path of a warrior.

Playing with expectations is good fun for writing!

and yeh! Right there, I can think of alot of ways to take that personality trait, and explore it in RP!

 Play with your oc's expectations and present to her a character that looks & acts like all the world someone she would feel she needs to combat, but have it turn out they're not as capable as she expects. Like how Celestia has been softened over the show's run to be less omnipotent, with her own flaws or trials she can't prophesize her way out of. Or especially Twilight, who's world lauded for being gifted & capable... yet her friends know her as barely functional under her stress, nerves and dorky flaws. Like... let's set up an Episode for Magloria to teach her that everybeing's a little imperfect!~

 Like, I can see the humorous situation of Blitz's confident character Alonsus (...? Forgive me if I get the name wrong. I just kind of like the big, fashionable oaf!) putting off brags to her about being all magical & important, she setting up a rivalry and He not being able to let the facade rest because he's afraid of upsetting her even more with the truth. Sitcom shenanigans!

Alternatively, I did make a character in the vein of an Alicorn by genetics alone. Where he looks the part of an Alicorn, but the horn is non-functioning and he's got the egotistical personality because everyone has always treated him like he ought be as powerful as any "princess." Twilight Twinkle is a DeadRinger for miss Sparkle and he's accidentally lived in the shadow she didn't know she was casting.

 

 

 ... also, as a fan of Ice Powers, I balk at just categorizing them under "Water" spells.

Well, Harrowmark have been closed off, and hard to exit for centuries, but it's fairly simple enough to enter, long as you can get past the undead sea monsters. but they aren't everywhere either, and now the country is about to open up a little more, once again.

The undead of Harrowmark aren't all shambling, wanting to hurt others. Some have gotten to such a stage, but others have their own societies in the marshes, and hidden places, away from the main cities. In many various forms, from risen, to geist, to amalgamation, poltergeists, and so on.

Maybe the butcher would fit well there, but Red Thread would fit in more with the Macabre Clan of Equestria. Old family of mediums, who tend to the departed, who cannot move o, for various reasons. Sorrow is but a single member, but there's many around the country, doing their part. Necromancy is not per se frowned upon by them. Only if used wrongly, to try and desecrate the dead for personal gain. Attempting to help animals who did not get a chance, by offering them some life after death, would be something they'd welcome, and invite her to join them, and partake in tutelage of generations, upon generations of professionals, dealing with death magic in many, various forms.

As for how he'd have known of her, Operata is technically working for a consortium of sorts, where he helps deal with troublemakers, and in exchange, they help keep him out of prison. They probably heard some rumors about this area, and some disappearances, and sent him to investigate.

Dunno. Right after she beat him, I suppose? Getting the fighting over with.

Operata fights via music, empowering his cats. usually they do well in attacking and protecting him, but if you get them say, stuck to a wall, and then beat the tar out of him, he won't be able to react on it quick enough. Just again, please no cat murder.

Also, she could just grab them both, and tell him to surrender instantly, or she'd make herself a new pair of mittens. He'd like her way less, but he'd surrender. His cats are his everything.

You may have missed the point about the frog mutants, that they're not pony sized. As such, it couldn't get all of his head into its mouth. And even then, it wouldn't just snap off, unless Light was made of twigs. It'd try gnawing though, and if He isn't inclined to do something about it, then Shark's more than happy to deal with his bad hat.

Unless this is some sort of illusion, or weak light construct. Just saying that a regular beings, wouldn't be able to get chomped like that.

I just don't really know how to get through the fight scene. We have little established about one another, beyond some basic information, and starting it off with a drawn out fighting scene seems... Trite, I suppose. But if that is your wish, I can try and BS my way through it. Kept this thread going so far, so eh, might still work.
