Really enjoyed the music. Especially the Dazzling's songs, they lived up to their siren name! "Welcome to the show"' has been stuck in my head all week. The whole finale was just fantastic  :yay:

I loved all the songs in some sort of way. Even snips and snails rapping, that was just pure hilarious. But the song would never end up in my phone cause...yeah no.

Shine like Rainbows and Welcome To The Show are my two favorites. :P

I'd say the only song that I disliked at first was Trixie's, but I have a huge dislike towards her character. The song eventually grew on me but I still can't stand her.

Well, despite of some crappy generic pop tunes in some of The Rainbooms songs (that actually weren't that bad) i think the music was nice, the Dazzlings had the best songs, i loved Battle Of The Bands and Under Our Spell, i also liked Trixie's song a lot, RD's song is not bad if you don't pay attention to the lyrics (and you can't blame the writers because the lyrics were supossed to be bad, in fact, McCarthy called this "the best worst song", and it reminded me of Avril Lavigne's style), and The Rainbooms songs were ok, it's ironic that their best performance is in a song that is not even theirs: Welcome To The Show, also that was my less favorite performance of the Dazzlings.

The music was pretty meh except for the dazzlings.  All of the Dazzlings's songs were amazing.  It was like they got an actual professional band to be in the movie.

  • 2 weeks later...

Its young and mad Vangelis from 1973 :derp:  And its not my favorite Vangelis' song too (Alpha from the same album was pretty good track)

But Vangelis are done some beautiful melodies. That may Octavia sing:

And 15 years ago was my favorite Vangelis- track was "Twilight"

(offtopic)Today i dislike Vangelis' snuffling and screeching sounds, today is my favorite from this kind "Tangram1" by Tangerine Dream

The Dazzling's music was just...Wow. I'm pretty sure I was just as hypnotized as the students in the movie, all of their songs have been playing non-stop in my head since I watched it.

Trixie's song was pretty great too. Really catchy and I've been humming it as I'm typing this. It's really unique from the rest of the music in the movie.

As for the Rainbooms...They were pretty awesome too. Really upbeat and cheerful. The entire soundtrack was just awesome in general.

Twilight is best pony.

Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

The only song I really disliked is Tricks up my Sleeve.

Under our Spell is my absolute favorite.

Just... just listen to this!

Loved the Dazzlings' music, very hypnotic! My favourite was 'Welcome to the Show', Dazzlings + Sunset + Mane 6 = :please:

I hope they release a physical cd, not just digital as always!

The Dazzlings sounded fantastic. Sinister, psychadelic, unnerving, catchy as hell... It's just a shame that our heroes' songs sounded so bad and uninspired that they'd even be out of place in EQG1.

Ironically, though, Awesome as I Want To Be actually sounded pretty decent. It's like Dash is the only Rainboom that knows anything about music and all the others are just holding her back.

Amoral cynic with a bitchin' vocabulary.

Check out A Century of Song if you like music from before this millennium.

Freaking excellent music. I wasn't even expecting it to be nowhere near as good:maud:

'Welcome To The Show' is fucking boss, and 'Battle Of The Bands' is great and catchy, and finally, the amazing credits song 'Shine Line Rainbows' brought me joyful tears.  :maud:

All around i enjoyed all the music, from Rainbow Dash's bratty 'Awesome As I Wanna Be', to Trixie ridiculous 'Tricks Up My Sleeve' song.  :maud:

Great tunes, tunes i actually find myself listening to it often now. :maud:

i liked all the songs allot except awesome as i wanna be

I loved "Awesome as I Wanna be". It rocked hard, while being the perfect medium to display Dashie's awesome ego.

To those that didn't like Trixie's song "Tricks up my Sleeve", have you heard the full version? It's much better than the stilted cut up version in the movie.

I thought it was really good. Much better than the generic pop of the first movie. My favorite is probably Shake Your Tail, and I felt Awesome as I wanna be Could have been left out.

The music was pretty good. There are several songs that stood out.

"Rainbow Rocks" was okay. I kinda liked the bass in it.

"Shake your Tail" was catchy. I see a LOT of remix potential for this song for like an electro party song (Hint, hint brony musicians)

The Rainbooms' part of "Welcome to the Show" was good. However, I cringe at Sunset's intro, I'm sorry.

I really liked "Shine Like Rainbows" It had good lyrics and can Applejack sing! Her intro to this song was really good. This song and the anime style artwork was made for a great ending credits sequence.

And I loved Snips and Snails rap, lol.
