I see it happens sometimes on Youtube but it's clearly Brony trolls doing it.

As for myself, I don't care enough about it to attack someone over it. My bro and I make fun of each other a lot though and sometimes I'll rag on his ass over MLP.

One of my best friends dislikes MLP (Mostly because of the fandom) But hey, I don't her her, and I don't flame people who dislike MLP. They either like it or dislike it. Now if they become really rude and insult me for liking it, then I might get a little upset, but will I flame somebody for not being a fan of MLP? No.

Alrighty fellers, so I took the "no, too nervous" route - but... I know that why I chose it is probably not the same rationale that it was meant to represent.

My gut instinct was gonna press "no, because it's not right to do" until I thought to myself *hmmm, well, actually, the predominant reason that I wouldn't is secrecy, so...*  and then clicked the "too nervous" one.  Only one person IRL knows I'm a brony.  And, that person is my [current] roommate.

He's actually the reason I got into the show.  But, he's not even a brony, lol - you see, he used to say, "ponies" as an interjection to mean "hey whats up" ... but for no reason at all, and not connected to the show.  It was only a random buzz word y'know, to him.  But one day I got caught off guard by it, and asked him about it.  "Nope." was his response.

Upon that moment I felt obliged to take it upon myself to look it up [for myself].  I didn't know much about the fandom until right then and there, nor anything MLP related, besides halfway knowing something in the like existed.  SO, when I saw these pastel ponies I was like "oooh a cartoon!"  and said "what do I have to lose?" ... So, I watched the pilot episodes.

And the rest is history.
(Ergo, I've long since watched all the episodes from s1 to s4 chronologically, probably 4 times though, hahaha).

But, to this day, I can't be outward about it IRL to anybody but my roommate - and even then I get a bit uncomfortable - because I just don't think it very well matches the reputation I have for being "a true and through country boy"... I know it's not actually a confliction to my personality; people know me for being honest, humble, country, and kind of emotional at times; but at the same time, I know I'd be called a hypocrite by a few folks if they found out (more than "a few" tbqh).

So, that is why I chose "No, because I was too nervous to."

According to a lot of haters and fans alike, bronies are notorious for bashing people who don't like the show. Let's see if it's true.

This is implying that people here will actually tell the truth. I see bronies more often than not hating anti-bronies just as much as they hate bronies. On MLPForums, those people are banned. So don't expect accurate results here.

For me, no, I haven't. I have not cared enough about MLP to give two shits if someone dislikes it.

No.

Even if I wanted too(normally I just ignore it), people are already doing it ahead of me.

That said I do find it amusing and funny when the guy usually deserves it(i.e. someone goes to an unrelated video and starts unnecesarily bashing the show, or if someone has an MLP avatar and someone starts bashing him)

no and for two good reasons

1) we are all unique not everyone should like ponies

2) the reason we are hated so much is because of this

now if they are being an asshole about it simply just ignore them and move on with your life or reverse their troll and love and tolerate them

Why? That causes more haye then needs to be.

Look at it this way people that only play CoD dissing people that only play BF, calling them noobs and they need to ay a real game. Sound quite annoying right? Now imagine someone doing that to you over what they would consider a lil girls show, equaly annoying am I right? Yeah best not to do that

If it is a really lame troll I like to play them like a fiddle when I am bored. I find it rather amusing usually but for the most part I ignore the haters.

So yeah I troll trolls sometimes and I don't have any regrets about doing that.

I normally take someone at their word if they don't like MLP. They aren't me, and don't have the same tastes as me, which should be a given and henceforth, respected. However, there have been a few times when I have encountered someone who has ripped into me for like the show and that I was a part of the "disgusting" brony fandom. Add some gender relevance (I'm a female, yet 2 times I have been asked in I'm into the pony porn)  into the discussion and I get defensive. I ask two questions, 1, Have you watched the show, more than just 1 episode? 2. Have you met any other brony besides me?

If they say say no to 1, I further ask them why they are judging something without having any firsthand knowledge of why I am a fan of the show.

If they say no to 2, I ask them if they would ask any other women if they watch porn in general (at least for those two people). I then ask them if they know anything about me. If they proceed to say something gender stereotyping, I got into my steam and blacksmithing hobbies, and I use all the jargon I'd say to someone who would know what I'm talking about (Confusing people is fun, and it further drives home the point of never judging a book by its cover).  For the few who do know, I simply ask them if they believe I would be the way they are perceiving the brony fandom to be, and would they believe I'd then be a part of a fandom that is morally controversial (based on their perceptions).

If they say Yes to 2, I've asked similar questions if they would've said no.

I don't want to be disrespectful to their viewpoints, but I don't like people having a false perception on something they know nothing about. I have had to do this more than a few times...I don't want to argue why they should like a show if they have seen and don't like it. I want to make them think about their perceptions and why their irresponsible judgement only brings pain to others, whether they mean it to or not.

No, that sounds silly.

Though I been in many situations (online and offline) where people will take advantage of their free speech to rustle my jimmies. Like, out of the blue, state they dislike MLP knowing full well I am a brony and present.
