If I had to choose, I'd choose gum.  But even that depends-- I hate cinnamon gum with a passion.

 

Mints are a close second, though.  If I have some, I'll start eating them like candy.  I could probably survive a day by just eating mints.

I prefer mints, as you don't need to spit them out like gum since they just dissolve in your mouth. They also make your breath smell better than most types of gum.

I don't usually chew gum or have mints on me, but when offered, I go for the gum since it feels like its cleaning my teeth and lasts longer. Though my jaw starts to hurt after a while lol
