Tom Gallagher 33,593 July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 We get quite a few storms from the Atlantic in the winter. Never usually catastrophic but it can be windy. Signature made by the amazing @Sparklefan1234

DubWolf 17,307 July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 Well, a small locality of the sun extends to just a few miles above the surface here in Texas during the summer . Also thunderstorms but not really. Just a bit south of tornado alley. Weather other than extreme heat is pretty safe here (and also safe from flooding like our poor neighbors East). 4 hours ago, Gaines said: I live in the middle of Texas so, as big and weird as Texas may seem, I rarely ever see "extreme" weather. In the entirety of my life I've seen falling snow three times and light hail once. When Hurricane Harvey hit, all I experienced was a normal thunderstorm that slightly floods the area, cuz I suppose the hurricane didn't come too far into Texas land. I didn't experience any tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis or nothing, just some lightning and little floods. Same actually. A lot of rain I remember . You must be around here too . Surprisingly there’s a decent amount of us on the forums here . (I won’t say who) Sig by Wolf, Handwriting by SparklingSwirls
ExplosionMare 18,079 July 17, 2020 Share July 17, 2020 Definitely tornadoes, but more commonly thunderstorms. When I was little we had to hurry up and drive to someone’s house who had a basement cause we didn’t have one. It was kinda scary, being out when a tornado was about to start. Boom! Widdershins 9,960 August 18, 2020 Share August 18, 2020 Well, Torrential Rains of Fire sounds pretty hellish, but you get used to it so long as you aren't currently in one. Now, when the earth under you starts shooting chunks of rock back up at the sky as if it was havin' a war, that gets a trifle unsteady. Then there's the sky-darkening endless poisonous sludge that kills you when you try to breathe the globs in, but that at least you can take precautions for. Like not going outside and just living on air conditioning. Then there's the Bullet Hails. .... I grew up in California. *Background chorus of numerous people going "Oh, oh yeah, that would do it."* Beatings & Salivations Everybeing! Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread! Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew! Prospekt 11,019 August 18, 2020 Share August 18, 2020 I once watched a tornado touch down a few miles from my house. It was far enough away that it wasn't right there in front of us, but it was definitely visible from upstairs. However, we don't get tornadoes a whole lot in the Denver area. They do happen on occasion during the summertime, but they are more common further east on the plains. The worst storms we usually get in the summer are the thunderstorms that tend to bring a moderate amount of hail. Occasionally the hail comes down really hard. And I suppose you can't talk about Colorado weather without mentioning the blizzards, but they aren't as bad as people from warmer climates tend to assume. Every now and then the temperature might drop as low as -16°F during the winter, sometimes with a harsh wind chill to make things even worse, but this isn't a constant occurrence. Splashee 28,566 August 19, 2020 Share August 19, 2020 Definitely the local tornado. I am reminded by it since the town's big barn still has a broken chimney. And we have had strong storms for 3 years now that haven't even scratched that building.
Clawdeen 15,147 March 21, 2021 Share March 21, 2021 Tornadoes would have to be the worst although we do also get the bad winter weather 1 * Freaky Just Got Fabulous *
Shigaraki 270 March 21, 2021 Share March 21, 2021 (edited) actually really nothing imo. We will get heavy rain, strong winds, blizzards, high heat like above 100 but actually nothing bad happens around us. I guess the worst is 100 degrees weather because its like a volcano in the car when you first get in and you can't really play outside like riding bikes or go out with dogs. I do hate hot and summer so yeah. But actually that's sorta rare to happen with us. So maybe it can be heavy rain instead...not sure Edited March 21, 2021 by Shigaraki
