What is your favorite type of chips

But seriously, I think my fav is Garden of Eatin'  Red Hot Blues.  Garden of Eatin' makes some amazing stuff.  They used to make potato chips, but then stopped for some reason.  Such a shame, those were amazing chips.  One time, I got a bag where all of them were overdone, so they were all kinda brown and slightly burnt.  It was a mistake with the machinery, which they quickly corrected, but I loved it while it lasted.  I love the overdone ones.  I think a lot of people do.

 

Anyway, my current favorite potato chips is Michael Season's.  Those fall into the category of will-ruin-you-for-all-other-kinds.  One taste of Michael Season's, and all other potato chips will taste like salted, greasy cardboard.

 

Speaking of potato chips, here's a tip for homemade potato chips.  Get a 'tater.  Slice it as thin as you possibly can.  Probably by hand.  I haven't found a machine that will do it thin enough.  Once you've got the whole thing sliced, spread the slices out on a paper plate.  It has to be paper.  Any other surface seems to result in the chips sticking to the plate like glue.  Dust the slices with a little cayenne pepper.  Pop em in the microwave and just watch em.  When the edges start to turn golden brown, they're done.  Best potato chips you will ever eat, guarenteed.  And that's it.  It's so simple.  No other ingredients.  Just microwave potato slices.  It's like magic.

when it comes to sauce, salsa or cheese are the classics (since I only use tortillas with them)

 

I usually eat guacamole or hummus with bread, in order not to have anything alter their taste

My favorite two types of chips are Utz Crab chips (chips with old bay seasoning) and Dorito Cool Ranch flavor, but I like plain original Doritos too. 

 

On the other hand, while I kinda like real barbeque sauce, I can't stand any chips with so called bbq flavor.  Yuck!

It annoys me greatly that countries have different tasting chips/crisps. That means I can only eat my favourite in my current country.

 

So in Denmark I'll eat Sour Cream & Dill.

In the UK I'll have Prawn Cocktail.

And I'll have Dorito Sweet Chili in the Netherlands.

I liked Doritos and Cheetos and all that, but Sun Chips are my favorite for some reason. I don't know, I love the taste of them, and they don't even get a bunch of crap all over your hands

I've constantly changed my opinion on my favorite chip flavor.. First flavor that I was in love with was barbecue.. Second, Pringles... Third is Sour Cream n' Onion.. Now it has to be Original (Preferably without ripples b/c.. you know.. I'm picky when it comes to potato chips!!  )

It's been a while, since I have had Potato chips. I am trying to drop some pounds, (Frankly , I don't think I'm doing a very good job unfortunately. ) And one of the things I'm doing is cutting back on the deep fried foods. But, when I used to eat Potato chips all the time, my favorites were Pringles Barbecue/Original/Sour Cream and Onion.
