ATTENTION METS FANS:

Do you feel like R.A. Dickey is going to be a solid to very good pitcher this year? My friend is willing to trade him to me because he really wants Carlos Beltran (he's a Cardinals fan and Beltran's hot right now for them). My current SPs are Jared Weaver, Rocky Romero, Wandy Rodriguez, Rick Porcello (temporary), and Doug Fister (on the DL for a week or two).

(My Opinion)

I don't think Dickey is worth it, at least not yet. I'd wait for his next start, as Beltran is doing really hot right now.

If no one in your league has, pick up Jake Arrieta, that guy is giving me a ton of strikeouts

EDIT: I've been thinking, Orioles vs Mets would make a great world series

Thanks for the tip :)

Arrieta was recently released by someone so I put in a waiver claim. Considering my 1st 2 weeks didn't go too great, I might be low enough to grab him.

And yeah, my friend has Dickey starting tonight and he held off in putting in the trade for me so I can get a look at his outing tonight.

David Wright tied Strawberry's RBI record...

With 733 RBIs

He also ranks:

• Fourth in franchise history with 185 homers, trailing Strawberry (252), Mike Piazza (220) andHoward Johnson (192).

• Seventh in games played at 1,115, trailing Ed Kranepool (1,853), Bud Harrelson (1,322),Jerry Grote (1,235), Cleon Jones (1,201), HoJo (1,154) and Mookie Wilson (1,116).

• Third in hits with 1,265, trailing Ed Kranepool(1,418) and Jose Reyes (1,300).

• Second in runs scored with 704, trailing only Reyes’ 735.

I think before he's done he will break all of these Mets records... (Maybe not games played)

I think it's safe to say that based on today's games, I will not be acquiring R.A. Dickey from my friend lolol.

Good boy! Keep Beltran!

I actually picked up Dickey today because I had Mike Carp and Andrew Bailey on DL, I dropped Carp and put Farnsworth on the DL and added Dickey... Today though he did not do too good

Dodgers using 5 infielders, only 2 outfielders...strange move (.______.)

Brewers win, interesting final inning. Close play at home to end it off D:

(walk off win)

Fail call by the umpire. Should be an out D:

Aww snap! Tigers had their first bench clearing of the season when some Royals guy slammed his bat down after getting hit with the pitch. Gerald Laird was all like "yo chill bro, your bat almost hit my feet" and the Royals dude didn't take that too kindly.

Awww yeah, Tigers get their crack at Dice-K Number Ni tonight as Yu Darvish arrives in Motown. Let's show him how American hitters do it.

Just checking in here to show the MIAMI MARLINS some love! Here's to hoping the Miami Stadium experiment works well enough to keep my favorite team where they belong!

*"That Guy" Fantasy Update*

Who has two thumbs and had Curtis Granderson starting last night when he went 5/5 with 3 HRs? *points to self* This guy!!

Oh and I actually did go through with that trade with my friend. I gave him Carlos Beltran, J.P. Arencibia, and Billy Butler for Miguel Montero and James Shields.

post-124-0-76144900-1334939751_thumb.jpg

missing from screen cap is Jake Arrieta, Doug Fister, and James Shields

I love my roster now. I have crazy amounts of power hitting and strikeout starting pitching . I am weak at base stealing hitters and closers/save pitchers though.

well, now that the Red Wings are eliminated and the Pistons suck eggs, all my focus is on the Tigers (and Lions' draft) now. Let's take 2 from Texas tomorrow in the double-header.

(Honey Nut Ichiros is me)

My current match-up as of tonight, I am absolutely dominating pitching. (1.508 ERA and 1.056 WHIP <3)

Tomorrow I have Roy Halladay, Jake Arrieta, Jake Westbrook, and Neftali Feliz pitching.

My offense is not as good as it could be...

I did NOT realize how good the Nationals pitching staff is doing

Just picked up Detwiler and Rodriguez today, hopefully that was a smart move

VVVVV my fantasy team as of 5 min ago VVVVV

Gosh darn rain delay last night making me keep Porcello for today. He goes 1.0 IP with 8 ER, 72.00 ERA. He was going to be dropped today >_<!!!!!!!1 Luckily I have Weaver, Shields, and Arrieta also going today so they can make up his ERA and lack of Ks. Also I'm whipping my opponent so much that I'll still win at least 9 categories.

We have a PERFECTOOO!! Chicago White Sox Phil Humber owns the Mariners, throwing a perfect game.

*still salty about Armando Galarraga's blown perfecto by Jim Joyce in 2010*

I'm surprised this didn't happen to the Mariners last season.

Lol yeah, if there's a team that's most likely to fall victim to a perfect game, it was them last year.

The Red Sox today were horrendous. That's all I'm going to say.

They might need to trade one of their big bats to get some competent relief pitchers. Bullpen is virtually non-existent.
