Wonderbolts Academy and Sleepless in Ponyville are the episodes I usually hold in the highest regard in the whole series.

 

As for the worst, I guess I'm in the MMDW bandwagon, though if I had to pick a different episode, MmmotFE and Simple Ways aren't far off.

Worst: Magical Mystery Cure

Best: The Best Night Ever. Great characters IN character, three-dimensional, and likeable. A plot that you kinda expected, but the comedy and how badly each of the Mane Six's expectations fell so flatly on their faces worked so brilliantly. On top of it, it's Friendship Is Magic in its purest form. Sure, there's no epic sequence or fighting like the last three finales, but they didn't need to be.

 

Worst: One Bad Apple. The song and A-Team references are classic, but too much went wrong. Babs was excused for her bullying because she was bullied back in Manehattan; no excuse whatsoever. DT, SS, and Pinkie are flanderized. The moral (your bullying ends when you tell a grownup) is terrible, and not just because Applejack did absolutely nothing, even AFTER she told the CMCs in the resolution. Even worse, this episode falls for the disastrous cliché of "If you fight back against the bully, you become the bully."

Worst episodes: spike at your service, and season 3 finale (worst alicorn transformation EVER)

Filli Vanilli. It has the best songs, Fluttershy is super cute, and it has FLUTTERGUY!

 

Worst episode is Spike At Your Service I guess... It wasn't very interesting.

Best: Pinkie Pride, Cheese Sandwich is best stallion, good songs, alright pacing, and rather nice visuals seeing as how the episode is bright and colorful. And 'Pinkie's Lament' is one of the best songs of the entire show, only tied with 'You'll Play Your Part' for me.

 

 

Worst: Rainbow Falls, the episode just felt off to me, that's really all I got, it didn't really feel like an episode of My Little Pony.
