Last night I watched the finale. Starlight was just awesome, but I'm dissapointed she didn't become the sixth Alicorn yet.

 

I'm holding on to hopes that my EX "least favorite" pony becomes a princess someday. She could very well represent the element of reformation.

Maybe not alicorn, but it's true she wasn't my favourite at first, since I'm not too fond of villains. The way the premier ended though! :awuh:

 

I couldn't help but feel really bad for her. Betrayed, heartbroken and all in the cold, but mostly alone - her greatest fear. While everypony was rejoincing, I was thinking "okay but...it's not a true victory here if it's built on Starlight's pain...". Had she not genuinely believed in her philosophy and merely used it as an excuse to become a dictator, then sure, victory. But here? I probably was one of the few who wanted to find her and give her a hug

 

 

 

 

I can't wait to see more of her, see her finally truly befriend the Mane 5 and not just through "friendship lessons", genuine befriending from both sides.

As much I like Starlight, I don't think she'll be the next princess/alicorn. That would put too much responsibility on her and I'm afraid that she may turn into a bland and uninteresting character as in the case for Twilight. I'm hoping for her to remain as a unicorn and have her become a main character and the second unicorn in the Mane 7.

its seems an unwise step so make her a princess....

but it seems like the proper phase of her character development, to send her out.  

twilight was sent out from Canterlot by celestia to stand on her own.  
it might be a nice full-circle moment for Twilight to send Starlight out.  I want to keep seeing her, but we don't necessarily need her to be the primary thrust of future seasons.

She probably doesn't, considering she's likely isolated herself after Sunset got her cutie mark... SUNBURST, I MEAN SUNBURST!! Gosh, I just hope they aren't siblings or that'd be really confusing. Wait, if they are, does that mean they actually know each other?? Me brain is functionning right not the moment at. Help?
