It will finally happen. As a Season 5 episode description shows, the CMCs will finally get their Cutie Marks. But what do you think their Cutie Marks will be? Post in the comments! Here's my opinion:

 

Apple Bloom: She did master potions, but that was from a book. Remember how she made the club house amazing? I think that's her Cutie Mark. Decorating.

 

Sweetie Belle: She had some great magic compared to phillys her age. I think she'll take off after Twilight with a magic cutie mark.

 

Scootaloo: I think her's will be of how she does on her scooter. She has wicked moves on that scooter.

I just hope Scootaloo won't get something related to her scooter. It wouldn't make sense if she's able to fly someday (and she would have already got it anyway).

 

And as far as I know, we don't know whether the CMC will get their cutie mark or not in season 5.

Well, nothing is 100% guaranteed at this point. While indications seem to lead the CMC to getting their cutie marks it has yet to be a foregone conclusion.

 

In any case:

 

Applebloom: A sprouting apple tree

 

Sweetie Belle: Something related to music

 

Scootaloo: Something sporting related...maybe...

For Scoots it should be the wrench that we were teased with earlier in the show, she realizes she will never fly naturally so she makes robot wings but still continues to ride scooter out of habit

 

Applebloom's should be either a glittery apple or an apple and some kind of building related object, apple for her family and the glitter/object for her building and decorating skills. 

 

Sweetie Belle's I think would be a bell with a little magic star similar to Twi's on it. Bell for energy, name and musical inclination and the star for her surprisingly strong magic.

Sorry to rain on anyone's parade but I don't think the CMC will get their Cutie Marks this season and I don't think there's any evidence to suggest they will. The S5 E6 synopsis just says they set out for their cutie marks, which is no different to what they've already done in several episodes. It's an ambition, nothing suggests they'll actually get their cutie marks. I also doubt it will happen in a random episode in the middle of the season, I think it'll be something that happens in the movie.

I'm excited to see what their cutie marks will be and if they finally receive them this season. I think Apple Bloom's will be something related to apples obviously, Sweetie Belle's may be something involving singing, and Scootaloo's may be a sports cutie mark.

They did  hint us in Show Stoppers episode, but that could be nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if the last episode of the 5th season was the CMC getting their cutie marks, sort of a build up thing for the whole season delving into the magic behind Cutie marks.

 

Didn't Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons propose some kind of quantum magic line theories or something to explain cutie marks?

Sweetie = music note on shield

AB         = apple on shield

Scootaloo = lightning bolt on shield (?) couldn't see too well.  IMO, it refers to her love of speed (like Dash)

The shield refers to helping or protecting others? Like Shining Armor?

The shields symbolize their bravery, the colors of the shield symbolize their bond and friendship,and the symbols inside the shield represents their individual talents. AB's cutiemark has a Apple and a heart inside the shield this represents that her talent is being loving and caring while the apple symbolizes her bond with her family. Sweetie Belle has a music note which symbolizes her talent for singing and Scootaloo has a lightning bolt and a wing which symbolizes her  love of speed and her way of gliding via her scooter.
