I remember playing Club Penguin when I was younger during the 2006-2010 years, It was a totally awesome online chat to hang out and talk to your friends online with it's little mini games and purchase system, I stopped playing it ages ago due to growing up and I think my account has been deleted due to being inactive for a while but I also remember asking my parents to make me a member so I could buy stuff for my igloo, I had many great memories playing that game/online chat.

 

But after Disney bought into Club Penguin it went down hill in my opinion as its become too commercialised and corporate just to advertise Disney's products like Frozen ect.

 

I don't really recognize the CP anymore from when I played it years ago. It's a shame.

 

I would like to know if anybody else on this forum used to or are still playing it and what your view on CP is.

I used to play this game back in the day. It was a lot of fun especially when you got to meet famous penguins and unlock the rare background

Both got banned forever because of an Bot attack on the servers

Disney does not protect there servers :/

Also met some popular penguins: Tazboi, TheFlame12, WickedWiz (known as BronyLauren) she actually made me join this fandom , etc.

Yeah I remember playing that thing, first played it back in 2008 and so did pretty much all of my friends and classmates, I remember we would arrange meetings on that thing and then add each other. However though later that year I would start dabbling in other similar MMOs and I would only play CP in spurts, the last time I truly played it was in December of 2011, after that I logged on once in June of 2012 walked around for like five minutes logged off and haven't touched it since. Nowadays I (and a friend of mine) look back on it with shame and some nostalgia.

I stopped playing it awhile back since things seemed to have gotten worse and a bit boring. I actually played Toontown Online from Disney. My favorite game, and now playing the fan version after they shut it down.

But nowadays I have no desire to do so.

It's just that you have to pay money and more money in order to actually be able to do anything fun or go on events or just enjoy the game which I got tired of.

It was cool, but then you had to buy everything. I hate those kind of games. There was also this game called FreeRealms that I had played when I was a kid. Not so free. You could check it out, it still exists. But anyway, the whole thing with them making you purchase literally everything is the most frustrating and stupid thing anyone can ever do to a "Free Online Game." Pure evil.

I used to play something similar to club penguin called BinWeevils. I remember spending hours and hours on it trying to get enough money just to buy clothing XD. Damn, the nostalgia is real. Good times.

I used to from 2007 to 2009, but over the years I got more and more bored. Around 2011-2012 I even logged in to see how it was going, but it didn't took me that long to stop playing. It was still a fun game during 2007-2009, though. On CB, my username is Pachirisu78.

No i never did, I was playing Battlefield Heroes at the time when evryone was playing Club Penguin and games like it To bad it has become such a pay to win game, I loved that game

Oh gosh I started playing Club Penguin in 2008 or so. I remember wanting that Membership so badly- I thought back then I'd be into it long enough to buy myself it. I also played Pixie Hollow, unfortunately that shut down years ago. Sometimes though I still try to keep up with CP stuff simply because I'm a rather nostalgic person and it's really hard for me to get over things.
