gaming Which was the first video game that you beat?

That's the most interesting question anyone has asked me about gaming in years. I'm not sure, probably something old and easy. Probably the original Civilization on Chieftain difficulty.

Possibly that awful Where's Waldo game from NES. There was also a soccer game on NES that was really simple to beat, that I can't for the life of me recall the title. Those are my two best guesses.

I believe the first video game I've beaten was Crash Team Racing. It's pretty easy to beat Adventure Mode.

Pokemon Ruby!  

I tell you what, the switch from my Game Boy Advance to Game Boy SP was INSANE.  "OMG, I can actually see the screen!"  That thing was super bright, and durable, too!  The Advance was horribly hard to see.  I found it humorous that the little third-party lamp thingy you could buy for it... made it worse, LOL!    

I still have my SP.  Likely the Advance is somewhere in the closet, possibly in Narnia for all I know, haha.  

I hate to say it folks, but as much as I loved getting my Nintendo DS... nothing will ever top the fun I had with my Game Boy SP.  Not even PS2 or PS3...  (Okay, I guess I'm forgetting about my N64.  I loved it.  But, nothing will ever be more fun than my old Pokemon games on my SP.  It's just... special to me)...

Pokemon Ruby. I still remember staying up late one night, and when I cheered that I beat the champion, I ended up waking my brother up.

 

I loved that game so much.  Pokemon Ruby, then I had Leaf Green, and Emerald.

I also beat a pokemon game first: pokemon diamond. But only after about 130 hours of playtime... ;-; (I was really young and couldn't read English yet...) Maybe the other game I first completed, (I'm not entirely sure which I beat earlier,) is Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I loved how you could doodle on the maps... :3 The final boss scared the living daylight out of me though... ;~;

oh god the nostalgia, seriously though don't let the lincensed-ness of it fool you, it's actually a pretty good collect-a-thon platformer reminescent of Banjo Kazooi and you should really play it if not just for the nostalgia you might hae too.

Mine was I think either Link's Awakening or A Link to the Past. I don't remember which one it was, but it was one of those two.

I am fairly certain it was a Mario game, though I am not sure which one I beat first, I think it was Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros. Sadly, neither of these first time 'victories' I consider legit, as I think I used the warp zone on Mario Bros. and the warping stars in World. Still, even skipping a big chunk of the game didn't lessen the impact when I beat Bowser for the first time in world. I was all like "Yay." :3
