How long does it take for Twilight Sparkle to read a book?

How fast do you think she'd read each and every page up and down?

Like what has already been said it depends on the book in question, Twilight has a wide array of knowledge in many different subjects and different books have different lengths and are meant to be read in different ways. A Daring Book for example probably wouldn't take as long for her to read as say a science or a spell book for example due to the fact that the subject matter isn't as complicated and the Daring Do books are probably shorter. Also there are certain subjects Twilight would probably be more well versed in and therefore able to read and grasp more quickly than others.

In Spike at Your Service, 12 books in a weekend was shown as a challenge (Spike had his doubts she could do it), but she seemed to be managing it. From that I think we can safely say she hadn't read 12 in a weekend before then; Apart from that, though, I dunno.

 

Speaking of, I still haven't given thought to just how smart Twilight is supposed to be. Is she just *educated* (but not necessarily supersmart), or is she some kind of prodigy?

It looks like most of the books she reads is about as big as the books in The Hunger Games series, and the time it took me to finish The Hunger Games was about four months. However since she's way more of a reader than me, than it would take her about two and a half weeks.

Twilight doesn't need to read. She just touches books and instantly gains knowledge. Its one of the more subtle OP alicorn abilities XD

 

 

In all seriousness, she reads pretty quickly. In fact i don't think she even reads word by word but just memorizes the whole page with a glance before turning a page. Twilight has a very good memory and techniques for improving memory.
