spoiler Should Season 5 make a reference to It's About Time? (Spoilers)

In the episode It's About Time, there are two scenes about there being a ''ball emergency'' and an ''eyepatch emergency. I think Hasbro should bring back at least one of those emergencies that those two items would come into great use. They made a reference to the first episode of MLP in Equestria Girls, so why not make a reference to another episode? I think this makes sense because we haven't had a ball or eyepatch emergency since that episode, and I think another one would be a nice thing for MLP.

 

I added a spoiler because someone may be early into MLP and they're watching the episodes in order. I didn't, which sucks.

Perhaps it is me being tired but what exactly is this 'eyepatch and ball emergency'? I remember an eyepatch and a ball being in the episode but perhaps I am not remembering this particular reference at the moment. Maybe I am being a dweeb here.

I do think so, if a pony gets their eye hurt in an episode and had to wear an eyepatch. Somepony would say "Eyepatch Emergency."

They already threw time and space to the wind in EQG and the comics. The show will be assimilated, and the analysts will rejoice!

Yeah but don't the comics exist in their own universe? And EQG at least didn't bring time-travel into the mix.

Perhaps the Ball emergency is When Pinkie pulled a ball out of a tree and said it was for emergencies.... I'm not quite sure about the Eyepatch emergency though.

I'd actually find it hilarious if Pinkie was able to thwart a villain in a similar way by pulling an object out of the background and saying she had that specific object hidden away for "XXXX emergencies"

The comics being in their own universe is just butthurt purists who cant handle anything but the show being canon (kinda like Star Wars). The comics are second tier canon, but as long as they dont contradict the show *cough* fiendship 4 *cough* it can be slotted in.

 

EQG did mess with time travel. The sirens were banished 1000 years ago, but were still alive when Sunset Shimmer went there. They pulled a superman 1000 years here=1 year there stuff.

2nd tier canon is never acknowledged by first tier canon. Thats why its a tiered system. No where in that article does it say they are their own universe. In fact, it says it trys to stay as close to show canon as possible.
