The lose/loose thing is probably the worst, followed closely by people calling their brakes 'breaks'. I saw this a lot on Craigslist when I was looking for a car.

One that's been bugging me that I seem to be noticing a lot lately is "without further adieu." And I facepalm every time.

Along the same, I've noticed people using "bazaar" when they mean "bizarre." It's.... whyyy?

"Wierd," cuz at a glance, it looks like "wired."

You'd be surprised at how many people cannot spell "tongue." For some reason, so many people think there's an "H" in it. Second, so many people don't realize that there's a "U" in there.

I find it grating when sophomores can't spell the word "sophomore." Yeah, I know it's hard to hear that "O." You're also 15 years old (or even older if you're in college, making it even sadder.) Learn to spell.

Typically, all the commonly swapped homophones. That's not that interesting, though, cuz that bugs everyone. I guess that's all I can think of for the time being.

When people write "Accidently" instead of "Accidentally."

"Lisence" instead of "License."

Anytime someone confuses "they're", "their", or "there" ticks me off.  Their the worst, because there not usually detected by spellcheckers.  People really need to use they're own discretion.

Although it's not technically a misspelling, I insist that "whisky" needs the "e".

THIS! I would call it a grammatical error, but it still ticks me off.  :fiery:

Water, 35 liters. Carbon, 20 kilograms. Ammonia, 4 liters. Lime, 1.5 kilograms. Phosphorous, 800 grams. Salt, 250 grams. Saltpeter, 100 grams. Sulfur, 80 grams. Fluorine, seven-point-five. Iron, five. Silicon, three grams. And trace amounts of 15 other elements. It's all the ingredients of the average adult human body, right down to the last specks of protein in your eyelashes. And even though science has given us the entire physical breakdown, there's never been a successful attempt at bringing a human to life. There's still something missing. Something scientists haven't been able to find in centuries of research. ...and in case you're wondering, all those ingredients can be bought on a child's allowance. Humans can be made rather cheap. - Edward Elric

I have a few, Miss punctuation, people using incorrect wording. Bloody hell, where should I begin?

Firstly, The word (Their, There And They're.)

A lot of People affiliate They're with There, But if you wrote [There The worst], your not saying They are, your saying something that, if i were an A.I. I would most likely translate that into {Place = The = Worse} Or something like that.

Here's a sentence I find everywhere on the net where people do it wrong. I'll do it right for you, but you'll get how.

There Are so many forums around the internet, I doubt you would have time to look at them all in one day. They're everywhere, and you aren't millions of people, Their Is only one of you, not many.

See There's a lot of ability to make mistakes there.

Second is grammar.

People will write something on the net without even thinking. They'll says something like [Wat R U Thingking?]

How is it so hard to write, What Are You thinking? It takes seconds, SECONDS! But no, people have to look at their keyboards and conciously say "I'm gonna write like a moron."

Yes i get the Wat thing, it's a joke to a lot of people. Like, say you said something long, and it would take me a long time to read, i'd just say "Wat" and then you'd either be forced out of the conversation, or you'd shorten it to something i could read in a minute or so.

There's a lot more, but Whenever and Wherever I rant, things' die.

Also I believe It is spelt Whiskey. Not Whisky.

If i drank Whisky, I think i'd be drinking a whisk, and something. It is spelt Whiskey.

otherwise it's not correct to me, or quiet a lot of people.

I hate all bad grammar and punctuation and spelling.  Not only am I studying English at uni, but I also read things as they're written and my brain absorbs it literally.  The minute someone messes up grammar I have to take time to stop and figure out what they meant, which sometimes only takes a second or two, but more often takes longer because most people mess it up so bad.  I know I'm not perfect at this stuff myself, but some things are really easy to do and people won't do it.

I really hate when people don't capitalize or appropriately identify the names of songs, books, movies, etc., when they're talking about it.  I don't mind if you don't know which ones require quotation marks and which ones should be italicized but at least differentiate the title from the rest of the sentence.  For example, sometimes movies or books or shows have a name that doesn't imply it's a title immediately, for my example, let's say there's a new movie out called "The Game."  People like to make posts like this, "hey guys lol im at the game so awesome" When you read something like that, it could imply a lot of things, it could imply a ball game, or a video game tournament, or any number of other things, and all you had to do was capitalize the words to make it more obvious, and it doesn't take that long to push the "Shift" key while pushing a letter down.

Mistakes like those are especially frustrating because if you comment on it these idiots will act like you're an idiot, and do it with their bad grammar.  I don't expect everyone to be perfect but can't people at least try?

I also hate many of the ones mentioned here already and I absolutely destest people who say "are" instead of "our."   :okiedokielokie:

My pet peeve is not really a misspelling I guess. It's more of a grammar issue.

HITTED QUITTED EATED SITTED TAKED PUTTED

I see people write or say this and it bugs the fuck out of me. Like it's not one mistake. They do it like nobody has ever taught them how to use past tense! I probably wouldn't be as annoyed but I live with someone who does this and it makes me kind of a grammar nazi.
