friendship games What the Hell was Twilight Prime doing?!

So the whole time I was wondering what was keeping Twilight from responding. The last time was saw her she was sitting on her plot being bored. (To the point where I'm hoping her not getting to do anything is something that writer's are building to a payoff.) So I was wondering what was keeping her. Then when she eventually does show up, she said something a time travel loop?

Is this something in the comics I haven't gotten to yet?!

It has to do with the Season Five finale.

Starlight Glimmer magically rewites history, removing Twilight's destiny as Princess of Friendship. Based on teased spoilers from show staff this is done by making sure the events told to us in Cutie Mark Chronicles never happened

I had analysed all three EQG movies today (meaning that I watched all of them again) and they all either give hints / small spoilers about the future movies or MLP episodes.

This would mean that if you watch EQG, then you're gonna get some information (or very large hints of what's to come) very early. That's if you pay attention, of course!

So far, this is the only thing I had found to be to do with future content in Friendship Games. The other two movies do the same.

If there's an episode about time travel or portals, I'm instantly interested in it. (One reason I'm hooked with EQG, I suppose. :P)

If it is about altering history, I hope her friends can be involved too. I get tired of Twilight going solo on everything. Season 4's finale was all about her, let all 6 of them be involved!

"Tired of her solo on everything" you mean how the only Twilight focused episode this season was on how she was having trouble adjusting to her new home and most of that episode was spent with her friends and she herself has spent the last couple episodes either overworked or having nothing to do?

Season 4's finale was too Twilight centric. Her friends helped her at the very last minute. I am hoping the defeat of Starlight Glimmer can be a team effort.

Well the finale was called "Twilight's Kingdom" so it wasn't exactly false advertising. Plus it was the completion of her arc in becoming the Princess of Friendship brought to a satisfying (and badass) conclusion. In addition, Starlight Glimmer was defeated by a group of friends not even the Mane Six, instead it was Twilight's turn to swoop in and throw up the magical defense at the last second.

I know Twilight wasn't the one who brought her down. They didn't have their cutie mark, their essence.

And now, blatantly mentioned in the synopsis :proud:

She was occupied with that time loop which made it impossible for to reply to Sunset's messages, and it is an unfortunate scheduling by depicting Twilight as being bored in the episode earlier in the day. However it is worth noting these two incidents did not take place at the same time so she not off doing nothing as you assume her to be.

But yes it is clearly tied into the Season 5 finale.

Yeah, it was definately alluding to the finale. I am wondering though if Hasbro meant to release it like this, or they just messed up the timing again, and Season 5 was meant to be over by now like the last two movies.

I was thinking timing as they may have thought that they could end up releasing it more later on, then again, it's a good little revile that would still work even if it's a little early (despite it being months away).
