I'm back from vacation, and I'm crunching the numbers, and surprisingly, my results are quite different than those from those from the mega thread. I'll post the results here once I have them.

 

EDIT: Wow, I have crunched a lot now, and it seems that Applejack-fans are older. Hmmm. I'm going to calculate the standard error now to see if it is a coincidence.

 

EDIT#2: Eeyup, I calculated the standard error, and there is less than 5% chance that this is a coincidence. That's a win in my book!

 

EDIT#3: Wow, with the average sex things get crazy! With the average age there aren't that much crazy things, most of the results are within one SE (standard error) so those are probably not related to anything, but here with sex, a few really jump out. Like Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash has not been voted by females yet, so it's really high. Then again, only 6 people have voted for Rainbow Dash in any case, so this is not earth-shattering news. However, Rarity has 50% more votes in total, and almost half of the votes were female.  Her SE is still up there, with 2.9 SE's. Pinkie Pie has exactly 50% male to female ratio, which is pretty cool. I'll try to make some handy graphs to show things. I do hope I'll get more votes here, because at the moment it isn't very reliable. I need at least 20 votes for each character for things to become more certain.

while the results here I doubt really mirror the fandom or indeed this site overall (twilight being on top is normal her being on top by THAT MUCH is not) The results in the female skewing fanbase of Rarity and Pinkie do line up with what iv seen for them going all the way back to 2012, though RD having no female fans is a huge outlier.

Yeah, I know... I really haven't got the amount of answers where things get accurate. Also, there are more factors at play. This poll isn't about people from this website, but rather about people who would give a response to this thread. I think that's the reason there's so many Twily fans here. I really want to get more data so it's actually accurate, but it seems like the stream of data is drying up...

I can't help much here because I really don't have a favorite from the mane 6 (or overall) but I do think the profiles thing is a good idea. When filling in your profile for this site, age, sex and favorite pony is not required info, so people have only filled those details in if they're ok with them being viewed by anyone who happens to click their profile. So it's not really spying or any kind of invasion of privacy
