I think you're looking at fats and oils; both are lipids, and pretty common.

Without any context, it is quite difficult to know what does that question want. It is very generic... I can think of a plenty of things that can be said of lipids, but I don't know what of them the question wants to know. If there are a text preceding the question, the terms are there.

 

If I have to hazard a guess, I would say "fats" and "waxes".
