Who is the best role model out of the Mane 6?

Since the main characters of the are clearly supposed to be the characters the intended demographic is supposed to look up to, I've been thinking, who is the best role model out of the Mane 6?

 

My pick is Twilight Sparkle because of how much she has learned throughout the show, and her being the Princess of Friendship is clearly something young female children can aspire to.

They all make good role models, but I think I would pick Applejack. She is honest and hard working. The other ones may be good role models for specific things (ex: Rainbow Dash if you want to be an athlete), but honesty and a hard working attitude are characteristics any average person can strive for.

We put big emphasis on goals from when we are young. So I think Rainbow or Rarity. Since femininity is looked down on, Rainbow would be the winner.

I can't pick one because each individual has a preference one who their role model can be. 

 

Personally. MINE would be Applejack though Pinkie Pie comes as a close second. Depends on what sort of values a person is looking for and what sort of thing they look up to.

All of them are though they each vary for specific things. Also they can all be horrible role models if viewed in the wrong light.

Applejack, how is this even a question? She's morally incredibly righteous, hard-working, family orentied, mature, runs a farm. Everything about her is practically "this the character you should want to be like"

 

 

After her, Rarity or Rainbow Dash for their goal driven ways. Of the two, Rarity tends to be more personable and less stand-offish  and is the harder worker with less reliance on her natural talent

so she wins.


Pinkie and Fluttershy shouldn't even be in the conversation.

Though I chose Applejack personally for myself, I don't understand why Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are getting so much negativity. While having a social anxiety disorder isn't something to look up to, looking up to a person who's trying their hardest to overcome it is bravery at it's finest. Or the fact that kindness is a great trait you should embrace....or the fact Flutter is a prime example of respecting animal life (Nearly every episode). Or perhaps seeing that even with her disorders, whenever you see a friend in need, it's good to push your weaknesses aside and help (Hurricane Fluttershy and Dragon Quest). Or even forgiveness and learning that the best way to defeat an enemy is to teach them the right ways and become their Friend (her reforming Discord)

 

Sure Flutters has issues, but doesn't all of the mane six? even Applejack when she has moments where she is too stubborn to accept help, or lie when she thinks it's right or how about the time she made the choice to run away from her problems instead of going back home and tell the truth(you guys know what episode I'm talking about).

 

While Fluttershy isn't my favorite character in the world, I do think she at least DESERVES to be a candidate. Look at her good traits and not only her bad ones which....isn't even her fault for one. No one ever chooses or wants to be some anxious person who's literally afraid of everything and can't function as normal as everyone else.

 

And as for Pinkie Pie: she's optimistic and does her best to spread happiness which is something this world needs more of. She has her flaws for not respecting personal space, and for having her crazy breakdowns but that goes for the other too. She's there to help her friends and whenever someone is down, she is there to give them a laugh.

 

The reason why I'm stressing this is because I'm sure there's someone who actually DOES consider these two as their role models. By saying they shouldn't even be in the conversation could be a little inconsiderate for those who think they should be.

I would say one could make a case for any of them as they all have their strong virtues  and the what not, and one could make a case for why any of them should not be as they have their flaws as well.

 

The show and Equestria Girls films does tend to push Princess Twilight a little more than the others when it comes to the idea of a pony being an example to others, but she has her drawbacks as well too.

Twilight because of Diligence, and being the most open minded (Bridle Gossip)

Rarity because of Creativity and business acumen

Rainbow Dash because of showing you can be very competitive without always putting yourself first

Pinke because lighten the heck up and don't waste time not having fun when you could be

applejack is definitely the most responsible, but as a result also the most dull.

 

Rarity is the most flashy and dedicated, but is shallow

 

Pinkie pie is great fun but not the most stable

 

fluttershy is the greatest teacher for caring but is too much of a jellyfish

 

rainbowdash is great for athletics and general coolisms but is too rash and impulsive

 

and twilight is good all around but just has too much on her plate and is still too bookish.

 

as a result none of them are the best role model as they all have a piece of the whole.
