What is your virtue?

NOTE: this thread is not about Fallout: Equestria.  I'm only using it as an example.

In the popular crossover fanfiction Fallout: Equestria, many of the characters had a virtue.  This means that out of the huge multitude of positive character traits possible, many of those ponies picked one and, at least tried, to structure their entire lives around it.  For Steelhooves, it was perseverance.  For Xenith, it was humility.  The list goes on.  Or, for anyone who hasn't read Fallout: Equestria, there's a few examples you could draw from the show itself.  Derpy's would be acceptance and Sunset Shimmer's is probably forgiveness.

This begs the question, what's your virtue???  Out of every character trait that could be called a virtue, which one, if any, would you say you tend to live by the most???

BTW, before you do it, don't just lazily pick one of the Elements of Harmony as an excuse not to think.  If it is one of the elements, that's perfectly fine.  But, if it's something that's not really focused on much in MLP (like 'courage' for example), that's fine too.  Just make sure you give some real thought into this and that what you write down is truly something that resonates with you personally.

Me?  Probably wisdom.  I'm well-aware that I'm fallible and imperfect, so I try to improve myself to teach others not to repeat the mistakes I've made.  I also believe that knowledge leads to wisdom, so I don't agree that ignorance is bliss.

@,

Sincerity.

I mean what I say and I say what I mean. Irony, sarcasm, any shame or obfuscation of who I am and what I do or like is anathema to me. This also means I am most comfortable doing things the straight forward and direct way. Talking to the other person, facing them with no false pretense to how I feel or what my issue is. I always endeavor keep my behavior online like my behavior offline, no tone shift or persona from who I actually am. As would also be obvious, this also means I don't even attempt to hide that I am a brony. Why would I when it's been such an inspiration and positive life changer?

Either Neutrality or Fun. I always strive to be neutral and see everyone's part of the story before picking a side and judging, even though I am kinda biased towards good a little bit more than evil, if you see it as a D&D alignment thing.

And for the Fun part, i always try to use a lot of humor on a daily basis. It keeps "morale" up, and keeps most people happy. Before, I kinda used to dislike jokes and attemps at being funny, but when I discovered the show in February and saw Pinkie Pie, I changed. For the better, I hope. Anyway, when I saw Pinkie Pie, Her wonderful personality and attempts at giving others a smile, It just... Changed something in me. Since then, I have strived to be funny in a way, try to bring a smile on other people's faces, bring their mood up a little and make them happy. Even though I may make people feel worse at times, I try. After all, A little smile is never not appreciated :)

Humility. I mean, I understand and get that you have a right to be happy and proud of your talents and accomplishments, but that doesn't mean you have to constantly bring it up and flaunt it in other people's faces. Sometimes you just have to slow your roll otherwise you'll bring out envy and anger in others. For me personally, I get sorta embarrassed when my achievements come up in conversation. I'm grateful for the respect, but it's just weird to be the topic of a conversation.

I guess I'm sort of a reverse Trixie. :P

Determinism/Persistence.

Of course, it could also be a flaw... It might even be so, but giving up just isn't something I can do.

Don't worry about it too much.  Almost any supposed virtue could become a flaw if used in the wrong way.  For example, Twilight Sparkle is a great leader but put her in a situation where she's no longer in control and she freaks out.  Rainbow Dash is brave and confident but that often leads her to be blunt and egotistical.  The same qualities that make Pinkie Pie so funny and lovable often cause her to be overbearing and annoying.  You see what I mean???  Every strength is closely related to a flaw and every virtue to a vice.  You can't have one without the other.  So, just don't worry about it.
