I waste my Halloween watching Treehouse of Horror and playing games rather than watching movies  :P

I do watch Hocus Pocus if it's on though

Halloween III: Season Of The Witch

vBOqWCb.gif

Here are some films I like to watch at Halloween:

  • Halloween (1978)
  • Halloween 3 (1982)
  • Pumpkinhead (1988)
  • Scream (1996)
  • Sleepy Hollow (1999)
  • Dracula (1992)
  • Satan’s Little Helper (2005)
  • Trick 'r Treat (2007)

I like the films to either take place during halloween or feel very... halloween-atmospheric.. Pumpkinhead, Sleepy Hollow and Dracula are perfect examples of what I mean.

Just look at this example pic from Pumpkinhead: http://diaboliquemagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Pumpkinhead_9.jpg

or from sleepy hollow: http://www.overduereview.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/SH-Sets.png

just ..perfect

Follow these recommendations and you'll have an awesome halloween movie night

The Blair Witch Project and The Fog (The Original( are by far my favorite super spooky films for Halloween. Both movies have a very dread filled atmosphere, the subtleties of The Blair Witch Project are terrifying and the soundtrack in the Fog is horrific. The music alone in that movie fills me with a sense of dread.

Hi Everfree,

Since Halloween/Nightmare Night is upon us I am planning to make a list of scary movies to watch as I enjoy this bushel of candy that I bought with a few other friends. So can anyone help me out on what films to watch?

I personally would suggest you Amityville 1992 - Its about Time, because of its unique theme and cool special effects. ( you dont have to watch the previous Amityville Movies, to understand this one...only remember : The Amityville House and everything that comes from it, is bad, thats all you need to know )

Also the three Cube Movies " Cube " , " Cube 2 : Hypercube " and " Cube Zero " are all very interesting Movies, with unique ideas.

And the two Silent Hill Movies, because the " Otherworld "( which normal people would call, hell ) in this movies is awesome  :fluttershy:

Oh yeah, FREDDY VS JASON!!! Best horror movie in my opinion  :squee:  But that could just be me.

That would be my suggestions for you.

Hey @@Bored2death, this topic would be better suited in the Media Discussion section, moving it there for you. :)

In reply to the question, I'm not a massive horror fan, but if you want cheap guaranteed scares go for Paranormal Activity, as the others suggested. There's also classics like Alien and good old Exorcist, if you want some good oldies :)
