gaming When the servers go down....

Okay, hypothetical situation time. one of your favorite games is either online only or mostly online. Then, the servers go bleh and you cannot log in. When this happens, what do you do? Is it a game of waiting at that point for you or do you checkout and play something different?

Me, I either play something different, watch videos, listen to music, or go on a walk. I don't play many games that constantly need an online connection but it has happened before.

Or do you do this?

Sometimes, we all just have to do that.

If we're talking about game servers as in hosted game servers for games like TF2 or Minecraft, I just open up my own server for friends to mess on until the normal is back.

If it's servers as in global open servers such as in APB or GTA then I don't know. Never happened to me. Probably just go and play Space Engineers or something.

I normally just play a different game or wait it out. I do however very much enjoy occasionally roving the internet during such a downtime; I've been studying tanks (if you can call it study, reading a book at age 5) for 12 years, and I still learn new things to do with them just about whenever I do so.

I would play another game or do something else.  This doesn't affect me so much because the internet in my country is unreliable so I would just play offline LAN games with my friends.

In all honesty, internet connection issues are one of the few things in this world that are capable of infuriating me...  :okiedokielokie:

But well, as long as I'm not in the middle of anything important in the game in question (like, for example, a boss fight or a dungeon raid), I just listen to music or watch random YouTube videos until the servers come back. And if I AM in the middle of something important, I will keep mashing the Log In button and calling the game names until it decides to work.

December 31st 2010

EA games decided that it was a good idea to shut down all the servers for my favorite game Battle for Middle-Earth and BfME2. I had played it for years and the game was my life..

I was literally sitting on my bed being angry for a whole month haha ... and I'm still pissed at ea

First I check my internet connection and anything else that might be preventing me from connecting to the servers like a new update. If the problem persists, I then check social media to see if anyone else is having the same issue. Once I find out that the servers are down, I try to find something else to do like listen to music and browse the internet, or play another game.

I remember one time Xbox Live servers went down when I wanted to play Destiny 2, and that was annoying since they were down for like 3 hours. I hate it when the servers for a gaming platform go down because then you can't play any online game until they come back online.

*totally not up to any shenanigans* :ithastolookpretty:
