Hmm... all I know is that she's got one for sale currently and it's $2,025 currently.

I could have misread when I posted this but more importantly the photo was either photoshoped or something weird is going on. Could be both actuality.

I do remember there being 60 something bids as well so maybe someone pulled out? Who knows...

Your link seems to be broken..?

Damn, these prices make me think I should practice sewing and change career. I'm guessing there must be a lot of investment bankers who are MLP fans, given the prices that these are going for.

As good as they might be I would never pay 3000 dollars for a plushie. If hasbro actually decides to make them I could get similar stuff for like 20 dollars

Looking at Hasbo's current line of merchandise is like I shudder to think what their plushies would be like...

There are other plushie makers that are cheaper but not as good. You get what you pay for. Really depends on what your satisfied with.

Etsy is a good website to go to for hand made items. Just be specific with what you search for like "Twilight Sparkle plush" as there is a lot of hand made stuff on there.

Because to them, that's like 5 bucks.

I've read some of the comments she made on Deviant and apparently there were some troll bids which she deleted but still made a mess of everything. I believe she ended up selling it for $2500 privately as that is what I remember reading one of her comments say.

She has put another Chrysalis plushie on ebay with a sliughty differant design, hopefully there won't be any troll bids this time...

if i only had the money... does she have a cadence yet?

I hope to be making one soon

Since the show she's been busy making this but she might start on one now or maybe do another Chrysalis seeing as it was so popular.

Best way is to follow her on deviantArt to keep up to date with what's she making.

I also want to make a shining armor

amazing! so many amazing plushies

After browsing around her gallery on deviant I found this Derpy she made! IT COMES WITH A MAGNETIC MUFFIN!!!http://whitedove-creations.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4vcv8r

that is one of my favorite plushies

It would be cheaper for me to make my own. I have some experience with sewing.

why would you even consider spending 3000$ on a goddamn plushie? i mean sure, it is nice and all, but that's it, really. "it's nice" doesn't exactly equal to 3 grand, in my book.

but then again, the bidders on the item musta been filthy rich when considering on getting the item, otherwise they wouldn't have considered ranking up the price so high.

or, it's just like how the saying goes: "one man's garbage is another man's gold". it might now be worth 3 grand to ME, but it sure as hell could be that invaluable to another brony.

she did not sell for $3000

Whoever made that needs to make a Rainbow Dash plushie. The #1 reason I would want to be rich is so I could afford all of these amazing custom-made plushies...

All the really well-made plushies are just way too overpriced...I can't believe people actually pay thousands of dollars for them

I am the one who makes these plushies, white dove creations

Of course not, $3k is just a starting price. On these kind of items you negotiate prices. So I would imagine it would have sold (if $3k was the starting price) around 26 hundred or so.

They don't normally get this high, when she does commissions which were open for a bit not too long ago she sells her plushies for around $400 - $450. She also said she's going to re-open them soon when she clears her backlog a fair bit.

This is the journal entry she made when they were open listing the prices:

http://whitedove-creations.deviantart.com/journal/COMMISSIONS-ARE-OPEN-295203804

In a comment on that page she said she starts at $900 for alicorns.

I hope to open again in July

My list is no longer on DA, but I am still working on the list. What is you DA name?

It isn't even over yet...It can still rise. Both of them.

it was a troll, on both

what was the starting price ?

I started her at $75. This the same price I start all my plushies at

Hmm... all I know is that she's got one for sale currently and it's $2,025 currently.

I deleted all the bids, I believed to be trolls

I really wanna hold one of those to see how they feel :| Why are they so darn expensive though? That's more than a alienware laptop costs (base price).

Just ask me, I can tell you how they feel, :)

I started this plush at $75.00 on ebay

So Earth ponies are the easiest to make?

Yes, because there is no wings or horn

hmm.. imagine the plushie you could make yourself for $3000.... You could make it lifesized...

But would it look good?

Also, My reasoning from a previous post still stands!

If you want a plushie (or anything for that matter) you can only choose two of the following:

Cheap

Well-made

Looks Good
