general have you ever got to write a ridiculous paper for school?

Last semester my English teacher gave us a guideline for our papers but pretty much gave us the freedom to do whatever we wanted as long as it fell into those guidelines. so we all wrote about different things that related to one overall subject.

I literally wrote a 4 page paper analyzing a Taylor Swift music video. I got an A on it too lmao. xD

I don't know how ridiculous it is but for a English class we had to pick a fictional character and write a paper about what made them a good or bad character what made them believable all that stuff. So I choose Rarity, I got to write a 5 page paper about Rarity that was kind of fun. Plus the class time she gave us to research our character I got to just watch MLP, because I was learning about my character HEHE.

Well, I don't know if this counts as a "paper", but once for Mythology we had to write a "boast" in the style of Beowulf.  In other words, we had to write a poem about how were were somehow epic people of noble lineages and were going to accomplish something amazing.  And then we had to read them.  In front of everyone.  And it was horrifying.

I had to write once for a Communications course based around the idea of J. Swift's "A Modest Proposal." Let's just say it involved selling off convicted felons as "manual labor" to other countries.

I was required to write about the ingredients in a cheese burger and tell about how they relate to the trade system between Europe and "The New World" in just 2 hours. Despite how incredibly hard it was, I've never learned so much about writing from any other teacher. Thank you Mrs. teacher for pulling me through so much pain.

I wrote a humanized version of cupcakes in primary school ( 12 years old ). My teacher was not amused

In my 11th grade French class, I wrote a short story about someone stabbing another person to death with a fork.

I read it in front of the class too... in badly broken French. I'm pretty sure the teacher was the only one who understood me, and the look on her face was priceless.

In sixth grade, I also wrote a story about my teacher getting drunk and hacking someone to pieces with an axe. Thankfully, I wasn't dumb enough to turn that one in.

I actually wrote my first research paper less than two months ago. Since it was our first for my class, we were given the liberty to choose a topic (except for gay marriage or abortion).

Not a lot of people in my class took advantage of this opportunity. When we read our papers, I kid you not, almost half of them were about cancer. You could tell that most of the students did not care one bit for their topic, and put no effort in.

I wrote a 5 page paper on the Brony fandom. I was one of two students to get an A.

For an assignment in middle school Creative Writing class my partner and I essentially wrote Spongebob Squarepants fanfic. That class was the best.

Most every English paper I had to write after Elementary school was to analyze the symbolism of every freaking thing. That was ridiculous to me because I never understood what the symbolism was and had to get my mom or the internet to explain it to me.

Not a paper, but I once did an entire powerpoint presentation on pigeons.

Well, it's not really a paper, but I once had an art project due in 5th grade. Now, i procrastinated. Hard. So much that i totally forgot i had an assignment due the following day when i figured out it's due.

It involved using a newspaper to recover a photo and... change it in some way. I did the stupidest, most half-assed worked ever, too; I just cut a photo of some politicians arguing (one of them was raising their hand in exclamation). I just drew a mask on their face and a gun in their hands and bam - sharp-dressed bank robbers!

...It was a lame job, but i got a 90 (that's around an A- i think?) for it. Go figure.

Yes, back in Spring of 2015 I had to write 7 essays to graduate. One of the topics was a 5 paragraph essay on how to save Afghanistan. I talked to my dad about it, and he said "How does your school expect to answer something our Government can't figure out?" I bullshited the essay, and still managed to pass. Also earlier in the year I wrote a humanized version of a scraped scene from my OC's long backstory, if that counts for anything. Pretty sure that passed as well.

There were a few times in grade school where we were expected to write and print out stories in computer class, and I usually wrote something about Nintendo characters.  The teacher ended up reading one of them to the class, and my story about Wario getting into some sort of treasure and / or plumbing-related shenanigans elicited some laughs from the other students.

Once had to write a paper about political events happening.

The 4 pages were divided as follows:

7 lines of actual discussion and facts

about 3 and a half pages of complete bullshitting (avoiding the topic)/repeating.

I got a B, no idea how x'D

I was never a subscriber in the idea of literature analysis with the themes, the symbolism and the incredibly obvious foreshadowing that got 8 days of in-class analysis. So just to snub my nose at it all, I wrote a literary analysis on green eggs and ham. I picked apart the symbolic nature of the main character refusing to eat them in a box or with a fox, trying to ascertain Sam I Am's motivations, the works. It was a valid paper by all respects, and if you didn't know the context, it would probably be pretty darn ridiculous.

I once wrote a ten page essay on the various existential crises symbolized in the cartoon show The Powerpuff Girls. However this was not done for school, I did this of my own volition and for my own amusement and edification.

I gave/got an A-. :proud:

Not for school, but I once wrote an analysis of some sort of wellness foot bath that claimed to have cleansing effects on the body by using basic high school chemistry and common sense. It had no reason, really, but I felt like reminding myself that I was still a nerd.

Yes. This is an awesome one. My senior year in highschool, I was tasked with reading a book, and giving a 5 page report on it, and also a speech about the book. I asked my teacher if I could pick any book I wanted, and she said,"Absolutely, the choice is yours." So, me being the kinda guy I am, I chose to do a book report over Ichi The Killer, which is a brutally hardcore manga with ridiculous amounts of everything that shouldn't be talked about in school. XD Yep, so I did my report over the entirety of the manga, because honestly I was reading it online anyway. Lets just say people remembered that book report. Haha

Now I need to write to write a really funny argument essay https://essmart.org/argumentative-research-paper/ for my English class arguing something way out of the box. For example, why Spongebob Squarepants characters are victims of nuclear testing.  :-o

I offer my variants also  ^_^

 1. How Winnie the Pooh contributed to the hippie movement.

2. How alligators in the New York City sewer system has balanced the population of rats.

3. Global warming in largely caused by the gas cows emit.

Back in the high school days, we had to do a book report contrasting two classic novels. In my infinite wisdom, I did this with the lord of the rings and moby dick. The amount of pure bs which was invoked in that essay is astonishing considering they have so little in,common, and yet I still somehow managed an 85%.

Oh, and I also wrote a paper on the symbolism of green eggs and ham at one point. A lot of it was using big words for filler and trying to make it sound like the book was saying more than it was. At the time, I was really upset about having to read the great gatsby; this was my outlet for my frustration.
