Chrysalis should've been thankful for that throne. Otherwise, Discord probably would've ended up MURDERING HER for daring to mess with Fluttershy.

Still does not excuse the fact that the writers keep putting them into situations that they have to be saved from by other characters, especially here with Cadance, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, and the Mane Six as well.

Flurry Heart is an exception since she is still just a baby despite having immense magical power.

But Chrysalis still committed child endangerment by kidnapping her and Spike, so that still has some seriousness to being sent to Tartarus if she refuses to repent and accept friendship.

Immense, we don't know yet. Flurry Heart, as a baby, doesn't know restraint, yet she couldn't so much as scratch anypony's magic shield with her full-power laser beams. Also, her power is now somewhat under control, thanks to Sunburst having added in some control spell when reforming the Crystal Heart.

I doubt Chrysalis even cares about that. In her eyes, Spike is the friend of the sister of the brother who thwarted her efforts last time, and Flurry Heart is the child of the two who thwarted her. That makes them targets for her desire of wanting revenge although now I think she will be focusing on getting revenge against Starlight.

Yeah, I guess that does make sense. If anything, Flurry Heart is just there as an alicorn in status only. She's too young to wield the kind of power they can possess.

Makes sense to me. She would also target those related to the ones that thwarted her first invasion attempt, and by kidnapping Spike, she ensured he could not summon reinforcements from Torch and Ember.

I'd say Ember here because aside from her and Spike, the rest of the dragon tribe don't really have much of a relationship with ponies, and some might think of them as being beneath their notice. I'm assuming Torch as the former Dragon Lord had spoken to Celestia at undisclosed points over the years.

Indeed, and if he learned that she had been kidnapped with the other Princesses, he would be more than willing to come to their rescue. His fire breath alone would leave Chrysalis a charbroiled mess when everything is set and done with the rescue.

We're not even sure if Changelings have ever been a threat to dragons. The reverse could even be true.

Good point. More lore to dive into if the writers consider it in the future.

For the dragons? That might be tricky since ponies are the main focus of the show, but they could squeeze in an episode about in the next season.

That works for me, along with some lore regarding the Changelings and the cocoons they put Celestia and everypony in. Would be nice to see how they work and everything, especially when they are not being used to restrain ponies like under Chrysalis' command.

We've always got the comics, chapter books, and other official MLP media that could explain things the show doesn't.

Makes sense to me, but I would prefer seeing it in the show anyway. Makes me feel more comfortable that way.

Thanks. Appreciate the understanding.

Of course, the comics have been slowly influencing the show in a couple of places, and there was even a reference from Equestria Girls that snuck its way into the season finale.

Really? What reference from Equestria Girls was that?

There's something I'd been wondering and someone posted what I'd been wondering in that other thread about the season 6 finale - could Celestia have been already captured by the time No Second Prances takes place? Celestia was acting really bored and annoyed then which was completely out of character, but completely in character for a changeling fraud. The only issue I'd have is that her magic was still yellow but...your thoughts?

That's a thought I have as well. As I had mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm personally convinced at least one of the target ponies may have been replaced before the finale even started, and as an answer to the question about her magic, my own thought is that not all Changelings' magic is necessarily green (as was the case with Thorax; his magic was blue) and that the Changeling that could've replaced her probably happened to have yellow-colored magic. And looking back at No Second Prances and your comment on her behavior, her acting like that does feel a bit strange and I never even noticed when I originally watched it... Hell, she doesn't even appear for most of the season after that episode until the very end (except briefly in the episode 28 Pranks Later where she gives a rather confused look after surfacing from the flood of Spike's letters), which may or may not be a sign she wasn't herself.

So in my opinion, yeah, it's totally possible Celestia was replaced way before the finale even started, by a Changeling with yellow magic and a great skill in imitating her (quite possibly achieved by spying on her and learning as much about her as possible to avoid detection).

With at least 3 seasons to spy on her, that wouldn't really surprise me. The changeling replacing Twilight was actually rather convincing, so that would certainly support this spying theory... Oh wait!! Wasn't that changeling's magic the same colour as Twilight's?!

Trixie mentions in her sleep that she would perform for peanut butter crackers. In the first Equestria Girls movie, Trixie wanted to get some from the vending machine.

Oh yeah! I remember that part. I almost forgot about that reference to the first Equestria Girls movie. Thanks for the reference. Appreciate it a lot.

I think it was just intended to be a joke given how Twilight was working so hard to make everything perfect.

It can be difficult to miss since it happens in-between two big scenes.
