I wonder if Vapor will become Rainbow Dash's pupil like Twilight has her student. Though there wasn't that big of an episode for Vapor that is but I guess all pupils and apprentices can't have a big event.

It would be pretty cool though to see her as a major character in a later episode.

Nope; the other 5 aren't going to get proteges, that's twilight's thing.

They came up with the idea of making twilight a teacher to try and give her a new arc and to try and make her follow in celestia's footsteps, but that is purely a twilight thing; they have shown zero hints or implications of the other 5 training anyone else in any way in the same way that twilight is acting as a teacher. (Unless you count the CMC for RD, AJ and rarity )

Well, Vapor seems fine with her friend, no? They seem to be working with each other to help each other to improve, so I don't think a pupil is needed for either of them.

Doubtful, but that sounds like it could be really charming if done well. Having Rainbow Dash take some other pony under her wing sort of sounds nice to me as long as it doesn't cut significantly into her own character development - like, as a small background thing that we see in a cold open or two. But then, Twilight's mentorship is a very different deal, and seems to be based more in how much Starlight needed guidance than in Twilight taking a particular shine to her.

Well, instead of wasting their time with episodes where they try to find some scenario with friendship problems, they could just do that.

 

I mean, it would certainly be cute and interesting, considering that Vapor is a new character, with whom you could do much in terms of characterization.

If they had kissed it actually would have made more sense to me. It was painfully obvious their attraction and deep affection towards each other and although it all was adorable enough, some of their interaction just felt a little awkward.

 

They did not need to do a full on make out scene, but a soft kiss and hug would have been great to reaffirm what every person in the fandom was already thinking anyway.

I don't think Rainbow is the teaching or mentoring type for anypony, maybe except for Scootaloo, plus she has enough trouble trying not to repeat her mistakes that often. I just don't think Rainbow would handle the responsibility of teaching another pony something in my opinion.

I don't believe Vapor Trail (whose character is absolutely adorable by the way!) will become Dash's pupil. While Rainbow was glad to help prepare her for the solo test, she already seems to have a pretty busy life with the Wonderbolts and her friends in Ponyville. As evidenced in the episode, she was very eager to take a relaxing holiday away from Cloudsdale. Plus, Dash is the type of pony who prefers less structure than Twilight does. Having an actual pupil with a lesson plan is not something I think she would enjoy. Instead, she seems content to be the role model who offers occasional advice, assistance, and support, as she does with Scootaloo.
